So I gotta add something here...I'm probably going to piss some people off, but whatever.

To set the stage - I bought one of these. Paid via PayPal just in case. Ended up getting an unsolicited refund on Monday.

For those of you who didn't get a package at all, and haven't gotten a refund - I think now is the time to start seeking a refund. If you don't get ANYTHING, you get your money back. Period.

For those of you who actually got the package and are still seeking a refund...Come on man. That's how these things work. They're "Mystery Boxes." It's a play off of the Woot.com Bag of ****. You get a random assortment of stuff. The "retail" value is higher than what you pay...but nobody pays retail anymore, and everyone knows that. We all bought these hoping to get the one good item in our box...much like a lot of folks buy the Woot BOC's hoping to get the one or two TV's they occasionally put in there. Mind you 99% of the people get a box with a random pair of headphones, a polo shirt, and a kid's toy...but people keep buying them. Just like lotto tickets...and just like lotto tickets, you can't return them after you lose. They can't give everybody DeWalt power tools.

This. I can't believe people who actually got something are still wanting a refund. I was just waiting for mine but was issued a refund instead.

here are the links to what i got!

http://www.sears.com/master-forge-6...0050830x000545&aff=Y&PID=4485850&AID=11034749

http://www.homedepot.com/p/BESSEY-4-in-x-2-in-Bar-Clamp-LM2-004/204957893

The clamp is worthless to me and i see them for only a couple bucks so i can buy all i got for $12 bucks but i paid $20 that is why i am upset if i got at least $20 dollars worth i would of been fine.

This is exactly what I'm talking about.

You're saying you got $12 ($14.93 based on current site prices) worth of stuff...based on the current sale price.

The Mystery Toolbox promises you $40 in retail value. That Master Forge 6Pc set has a retail value of $39.99, and that Bessey clamp lists for around $15.00...so there you have $55 in retail value...why are you asking for a refund? They sent you exactly what they said they would.

I was wondering why you did that too.

There's an old saying that's almost never been wrong, and has served many people well:

"If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."

It's too good to be true for most, but typically, these things have a few gems in them. People buy these things for the "what if's."

If they had 97 random wrench sets, and 3 M18 Fuel Refurbed impact drivers, SOMEBODY will get the M18's. 97 people won't...but 3 people will. There in lies the allure.

Someone around here has a quote in their signature and I think it fits here best. "This guy **** on his own plate then complained dinner smelled like ****!"

I don't think I've seen any comments for the photo of the flyer on a "bulletin board" without any tacks or tape to hold it up.

You guys that are **** hurt because you didnt get a $100 worth of tools are cracking me up! What did you really expect? Like said above they are going to set there value by the retail value not what the clearanced out price that they likely bought them for is...

The old quote "A fool and his money will soon part" comes to mind!

I'm really surprised this wasn't some sort of auto-renewing subscription thing. Month #2 is how these companies stay in business.

I bought one at $9,999. I am hoping it's a Snap-on roller with hutch, full of Snap-on tools... but I'll be happy if it's a bunch of Kobalt **** thrown in a flat rate envelope.

Woot has done this successfully for just over a decade now with their "bag of ****", which was a couple bucks less, although the variety of closeout items could be just about anything.

I think that's what people were hoping for.

I guess no one in here complaining has ever lost in a casino.. All I saw was a gamble and a lose.
Ask the casino for your money back next time you don't win 1000$ off 20$

Gamble and lost.

If you get a refund please do the right thing and send the **** back. Just because someone screwed you over and you got justice, doesnt mean you can screw them over right back.

If you work so hard for your money then this is a lesson in how to be smarter in spending it.

You bought a pig in a poke, and they sent you exactly what you purchased, Get over it.

I got a 6 piece masterforge set and a clamp i am pretty upset since i can buy both for like $12 dollars i didn't pat over $20 to get $12 dollars worth of stuff.

I see the problem. You think retail value is what YOU would pay for the items.

The full retail value of the Master Forge set is $39.99. Add in the retail value of whatever clamp (Bessey?) they sent, and the total purchase is in the $40 to $200 range as advertised.

Such a mess. They plainly stated that the "value" would be between $40 and $200, and "value" nearly always means MSRP. That master forge wrench set has a "value" of $39.99, so you guys got exactly what you bought. **** it up.

I think you need a time out, temper tantrums are for bad boys. :willy_nil

Just so you know, you were taken the moment you decided to buy it. You are a strange piece of work. You will be one of those nightmares on ebay that will request a refund 179 days out, because it was not as described.
