Just delivered. This is the 600 square foot package from Costco. (45) boxes of floor tiles, (3) bundles of aluminum end caps and (2) 20' thresholds. With tax and free shipping the total came to $3,017 and all I need at this point is some silicone to glue the threshold down. Nicely packaged and they placed it in the garage for me.

How does the floor hold up now- does it scratch easily, any cracks with car parking. I'm planning a mix of slate and gray tiles. Please share any suggestions - TIA

Hi all, sorry I missed your PMs, I never got alerted and have been out enjoying my garage. I haven’t signed on GJ in a while.

I am still very happy with the tiles. I’ve swept it out a couple times with no issues. We’ve only had a light snow here so far, but no issue slipping. They do get slippery if you spill car cleaning products on them, but it wipes right up. I have one tile connection separating, and at some point I’ll probably use light cray caulk to make it blend in. Salt definitely gravitates to the seams.

As a refresher, I used a cheap tile saw for cuts. The tiles go together differently that I experienced before. They need to go 45 degrees and in the channel. Then lay down and hammer on the channel. Vinyl I did previously needed the tap tools to go horizontal and I struggled initially.

Let me know if anyone has questions or wants some other photos.

Thanks for the pics and I'm looking to install next month, got a quote for a 400sq ft garage. Wanted to check how it holds up with car parking etc. I need to prep my floor as its cracked in some spots and was thinking of an underlayment. Any suggestions are appreciated.

This site doesn't like imgur links, it is pretty easy to just attach the pic once you get the hang of it. Looks great by the way

I noticed you have epoxy on the floor, did you have to sand it out or were you able to install right on top of it. I'm in NJ and its damp and snowy in winter.

I purchased NewAge SPC flooring for my 3 car garage last year. My garage is used only for parking cars and my house is brand new, built in 2020. I researched flooring here and thought NewAge was the up-and-coming flooring. I should have bought from Costco (who was offering it at the time), but I saved a few bucks buying it direct from NewAge.

After living with it through one Seattle winter, I very much regret my decision. The water from the cars, both rain and snow, which drip onto the floor, finds its way in between the cracks and under the tiles. Now the tiles at the low point, nearest the door, squish when I walk on them, and now are starting to show signs of mold at the seams.

I contacted NewAge, and they told me that if water gets through, they must have been installed improperly, and I should refrain from putting water on my floors. ??

They are really nice tiles, and if you install them in an area that will never see water, they are very durable and I'd recommend them highly. If you're going to use them in a garage that will get wet from rain and snow, I'd recommend buying them from Costco. altough it seems Costco.com may not be offering them any longer.

Greetimngs from NewAge Products,

Thank you for your response,

We would like to inform you that if the water is seeping through then it mean the tiles were not properly clicked during the installation.

Apart from that, it would be best if you do not wash the floor with water.

Apologies for the inconvenience,

Please do contact us if you have any further inquiry.

Thank you.

Regards,

any photos showing the overall look of the space with the tile and maybe some examples of how bad it scratches?
Yes curious to see how it is - there don't seem to be any complaints from others. I'm in the NE and have snow and water issues with car tires and want to make sure I'm making a learned decision. Not interested in Racedeck and other products.,

Can some of you who have had this product give us an update now that you've had it a few years? How has it held up? I'm considering getting it for an 1100 sq ft appliance showroom which is about 1/2 on slab and 1/2 on plywood subfloor (level with the slab). And covering it all in this. Your pictures look great, and i like that it would waterproof my subfloor. But I'm concerned about longevity of the floor since I'll sometimes slide appliances around. I would try to use a dolly as much as I could, but I know me, and I know I'll be sliding them too. I've gouged and scratch my poorly applied epoxy floor in my workshop. I'm considering these New Ave LVT tiles, or doing some type of epoxy/polyaspartic, or just go big and do porcelain tile. Or even just paint it all in flooring paint, lol.

I figure cost wise:
1. New Age LVT - under $5k with DIY install, or maybe $7k or more if i hire someone
2. epoxy or polyaspartic - $5500-6600 (professionally installed) (concerned here on longevity of applying to the subfloor)
3. Porcelain (with ditra under all of it) - $11-12k (professionally installed)
4. Just paint it - less than $500 (DIY)

It’s easily scratched the top layer which is thin vinyl with a thin clear layer.

Our clients have told us. Not a good solution for your store in our opinion.

Since the floor could be scratched by appliances being pushed you need a solid tile something like our www.supratile.com or a similar product.

If you only move with dollys then most any flooring would work but one good push without a dolly and certain types of floor could be permanently damaged.

What is the cost of your Design and Urban Series tiles? They look pretty similar to the New Age LVT. And are they waterproof at the seams?

Anyone else have any input on longevity of the New Age tiles? Hoping to get some responses from some of you who bought it 2-3 years ago. I just ordered some samples.

How does the floor hold up now- does it scratch easily, any cracks with car parking - TIA
Sorry for the long delay providing feedback. Here’s my observations after 3 years.

50% of my 3 car garage looks good. Same as installed, just covered in leaves, dirt, etc. The rest is discolored, permanently dirty, or scratched, mostly in the area where the cars park.

My garage is primarily parking with monthly detailing. I don’t have a lift, I don’t do car service. Suburban Philadelphia climate but no snow last year at all.

The scratches are primarily where my wheeled trash can is. There are other spots that went through the veneer I can’t explain. See photo.

The discoloration is where the wheels park. Tried many cleaners and degreasers. This weekend tried power washing, with little change. See photo.

My buddy liked my install so much he put it in his single bay that’s a Porsche stall and golf simulator. His still looks perfect a year in.

In summary, I really liked it. I don’t love it. I will replace or overlay it with race deck free flow at some point.
