Picture taken from 3rd floor of house-facing due south...
Glad to have the Saab Barn today....
No Saabs out in the snow!
Getting around 3 feet of snow!
The drifts are incredible already up to my waist- the little pit bull dog is NOT happy with this snow depth-
Going out to snow blow some paths for her in a bit...

Hi...can you tell me where you purchased the cupola and weathervane? Also, what size is that?

Hi...can you tell me where you purchased the cupola and weathervane? Also, what size is that?

My girlfriend was the one who decided we HAD to have a cupola...
It's a 48"x48" base, Newport model. All Azek-with the exception of the "roof" which is copper clad.
The weathervane and cupola all came from here: http://weathervaneandcupola.com/cupolas.html

I had questions- so I called and spoke with them, very helpful.
They offered me a significant discount on the base, cupola and weathervane over what was advertised on the site... and shipping was included.

There are 2 places on the east coast that I found that actually make the cupolas, one in ME and these guys in MD.
These guys were great to deal with, so I went with them.

Look at the site as to sizing, general rule is length of roof in feet x 1.25-1.50 to inches...

Be advised- this thing in total is well over 300 pounds- but in 3 pieces, depending on the pitch and height of your roof it may be a 3 man job to install...We used a 40' lift rented for the day.

So- an update after using my space for the last 2.5 years...
I've managed to fill it with ****!
I am working out of this space full time since last September.
I am at a point now where I really need to organize the shop floor space, as I am adding another 2 post lift ASAP.
I have some crappy shelves from Craigslist that I thought I'd use for upstairs storage- but I'm thinking a built in system of shelving to utilize the unusable floor space might work out better.
I need to take a day or 2 off and decide what optimizations would work to de-clutter the shop as well.

This is my fear too, I've just moved all of my old "****" into the new garage and it is already full and cluttered!
