Wright 3/8 premium double pawl ratchet, 3/8 and 1/4 Westling socket rails, Wright 1/4 4-14mm sockets, satin WrightGrip wrenches 7-19mm. If you have been thinking about purchasing some Wright tools, do not hesitate. I'm truly amazed by the quality of these tools. The wrenches are the nicest most comfortable wrenches I have ever held in my hands. I absolutely love the contoured handle ratchet. I seriously believe that you cannot go wrong with Wright. They will be receiving more business from me.

Wright has been using that handle for years. You'll see older MATCO ratchets made by Wright with that handle.

I assume that's a Wright 3490? I have one and it's awesome. Wright ratchets are really nice, but don't get much discussion on the forum these days.

By coincidence I received a set of Wright 1/2" drive metric sockets today (14mm-27mm) plus a few deep sockets.

Beautiful!! I love Wright tools. Where did you buy these?

Mr John, the wrench set came from harry j epstein as well as the socket rails. The rest came from amazon.com, since i couldnt get my local industrial supplier to order me anything.

Got myself a 3/4 wrightgrip combo. (Most used size for manual milling machines, practically every nut on the thing is 3/4) and it's damn comfy. Glad you're enjoying the Wright stuff so much! my only other wright tool is the 1/4" ratchet. It's a wonderful little thing. Excellent quality. If I didn't have Blackhawk and Cman pro sets already I'd have Wright for sure.

Absolutely love my 3490, it is a work of art, both in form and function. One of my favorites, no doubt.

Wright makes some awesome stuff.

I have been buying tools since the mid 70's and discovered Wright about two or three years ago. Absolutely love them. Very worthy tools that are the equal of any of the top names and perhaps even better when you factor price in.

They are, and I wonder why?
Nor do the great Wrightgrip wrenches.

Thats right, thanks for the comments guys. I really dont think wright gets the recognition they deserve.

Same here :dunno:

There's nothing wrong with Wright!

No there isn't!

I think we have a new GJ mission, to spread the Wright Tool gospel. Family owned and made in Ohio.

25 min south of me and I never heard of them until i joined this site. I went to go buy a wright ratchet at Production Tool Supply in Cleveland and they for some reason sent them all back to Michigan to the corporate office.

I love Wright because they make the mechanism of a specialized wrench I use daily. The Ratcheting Ultimate Focus Tool is designed to fit all the common sizes on theatrical lighting equipment.

Its the same mechanism as in the Wright 3480 and 4480.

I had a matco 1/2 ratchet like the one pictured and it broke and the matco guy said they no longer made kits for them and gave me a new 88 tooth ratchet...the new ratchet just sits in the tool box and i never use it. I miss the old one. Now i know if the 3/8 breaks get in touch with wright for a kit

I was in the same predicament. I figure these satin finish wrenches will still look new many many years on down the road. Chrome will get skint up with use, but i dont have a problem with that. I do love the grippy feel these satin finish wrenches give. If i had it to do all over again i would have still went with the satin finish, but i wouldnt be scared to try the full polished either. Different strokes for different folks i geuss but this is just my 2 cent hope it helps.

Ive had much experience with wright. Where i used to work they used exclusively wright tools on 5000ton forging presses(TFO makes all of Hondas 4-6 cylinder crankshafts). Their big stuff in super nice too. 3/4" and 1" drive holds up to abuse. Barberton Ohio is where they are made if my memory is holding up. I believe they have their own trucks just like cornwell. They also have their own way of making sockets...but i couldnt explain it...something about the broach?? Anyways top notch tools made in the U.S.A.. They dont screw around with quality control either. Ive never seen burs or mis-forges , mis-stamps, or bad chrome.

I don't have a ton of Wright tools, but I love their ratchets (and my older Wright-badged Matco stuff). Top notch finish, decent prices, good solid tools. Too bad they are hard to find in retail stores.

Maybe to the Production Tool HQ. Wright tool HQ's is at the factory in Barberton Ohio. It is a very old environment inside. They still use the same drop forge hammer that my grandfather ran 65 years ago. They make good tools but are fussy about socket warranty. If it shows impact signs they probably wont replace it. Who uses their tools correctly if you need to get a job done? Wright usually sells thru smaller distributors. Proto is the typical Industrial brand sold thru the big guys like Grainger, MSC. Not sure what Fastenal represents other than their brand. I like their rubber handle ratchets and own a couple of set as well as other tools.
You can't go wrong with Wright. Hey that is kind of catchy.

This thread is making me want to throw my run of the mill craftsman ratchets in the scrap bin. Is there an online website that has these? Its funny the plant is only a few miles away from me but I haven't ever seen wright tools in person.

always act like the smallest lobster in the grocery store tank

Things run in cycles around here. There was quite a bit of discussion about Wright a couple years ago, then it drifts off to another brand for awhile. They'll come back into the spotlight on GJ sooner or later.

Wright is definitely one of the things that's "right" about American manufacturing. My very biggest wrenches are Wright:
