PA in a can. Remember my dad using that, many years ago.
Thanks WarrenJ! Here is a sneak peak at what I have been working on lately.
It's an old Kennedy 20" carry box I just refinished.

Damn, THAT is very cool. Great job.Is the inside and tray done in the same manner?
Nice work. Looks like that took some serious time.
The file cabinet/tool box is my main table top and gets used daily, not to mention being packed full of tools I use frequently. It's hanging in there well, thanks!
Here is the wall with my file cabinets. Ignore the
colored pallet rack, this one is temporary, a 3' deep would be perfect so I am working on a free upgrade. I plan on building a toe kick riser and taking the wheels off so the file cabinets are all the same height. Maybe paint the faces when I go to set them on the riser.
I finally got around to fixing the old parts cabinet I got last year. It was rusted out on the bottom left side, to the point that one drawer was completely toasted. I whipped out the plasma cutter and straight edge, then cut the bottom row of drawers off and had a usable cabinet 5 mins later. It fits perfect on top of the file cabinet keeps everything in reaching distance.

It's definitely a middle weight, not as heavy as some but still better than current China ****. You got a deal, had you said "He showed up in a falling apart truck, barely had any shoes on and his dirty *** dog was in the truck with him...." I would have thought you were talking about me![]()

Thanks guys, give it a shot Rick, you can use family pics or what ever to make it "yours".
Here is the rest of the Kennedy, I posted the entire Craftsman in the Crown Top Thread.
9Four,
The motor mount, if you can incorporate a hinge in the design (4" door hinge works well), you can use th motor's own weight as a tensioner for the belt, and minimize the adjusting needed to deal with bets. you can also more easily swap tools out since the motor can be lifted to change belt or tool.
Fyrme, I have an outside cab for some chemicals. I finally gave up on storing anything in that cabinet that wasn't contained in plastic. The metal containers just rust out too fast due to condensation and what not. Also my cab is not steel, it's aluminum, (an old traffic controller box) so while it does not rust, the cans inside do. I have it on a north facing wall, so no sun on it, another consideration, as if the sun is on a metal cabinet, the temps go ballistic... High temps and gasoline... Not good!
I'm playing musical chairs with these machines.
Wow. Awesome idea Outlaw. I have the same situation going on for a light duty 2" belt sander and was thinking turnbuckles etc...1 hinge welded to the motor plate is mucho better. Thanks!![]()

I still scan CL for deals hundreds of times a day. It's a sickness and I'm contagious

Thanks Outlaw, yes glue, top coat and lots of time. I used a flat clear on the Kennedy and a satin finish on the Craftsman to check the difference. I kind of like the satin more but from 10' or so you can't tell the difference anyway.
You gotta go vertical when you run out of floor room

To be honest, I cant think of but one machine I need now(King Seeley Table Saw) and I still scan CL for deals hundreds of times a day. It's a sickness and I'm contagious
Those are 3 bulb t5 lamps, screwed to two 2x4's each so I can move them independently from the shelving. Makes seeing things I'm working on easier!i'm already on board with the racking, but love the lighting you set up. nice work AGAIN.
Bro, it really is some kind of condition. My wife is always asking me... WTF are you looking for????
And the answer is always the same... I won't know till I find it.

Nine4 - you do fine work and a lot of it. Great thread!
No, if you look at the piece I cut off, the only difference is the actual bottom had a piece of 1" same gauge steel 90* angle along the sides and rear that I plan to replace before I paint it. It's mainly to keep the large panels from bowing out, does not affect vertical support. I'm still trying to decide if I want to satin clear it as-is or paint it up to match my red/black theme.Nice save on that multi drawer cabinet. Did you have to reframe the bottom?
It's a good - bad habit....or something like thatI feel your pain, I suffer from the same addiction. Always looking to add more "toys to the toybox".
Oh, I've already gone vertical, but have found my self needing the floor space below for larger tools. I "need" a sand blast cabinet,a sheet metal brake, and a place to put my wood lathe. But as you can see here.....
I'm already making use of the floor and the space above it, all the way down to fractions of an inch.LMAO! I've had to take out some shelving to make room for the bigger floor stuff. There's olny so much **** you can stuff into a 10lb sack. One of my next evictions will be the commercial power washer. When I get the dog house for my compressor done, it will house the washer and the compressor. It will be a heated room in the winter and have a flue built into it for the washer burner.
