Thanks BB, the uprights are 12', I'll need to cut a foot off for them to go where I want them to and it will be easiest to remove some from the bottom and some from the to to keep from having to move the support bars. I figure I may as well go on and paint them if I have to spend so much time making them fit. There are two 8' long shelves and two 9' long shelves that will go above my machines. One of the uprights has major cancer on both feet and another upright has a little on one foot so shortening them will remove all that as well. I cut a piece of scrap for the pads today, I'll cut them to size and weld them over the next few days, then paint next week.
Also, I finally just bolted that sander top plate you brought me to the plank of wood I used before and painted it to match when I just did the belt/disc sander resto. This will work fine until I find the correct top plate, I'll get with Merc and see if he wants your other sander though if you still want to get rid of it.

Years ago my friend who lived next door was a warehouse supervisor for a distribution company. That was until they sold out and shut down his location. You know where this is headed right?.........
I hustled over across the street where one of the teenage muscle head neighbor kids lived and offered him $10 an hour for two days of ball busting work. We disassembled, loaded, unloaded, and stacked making 4 trips that weekend. I netted nearly $4500 form that blessing....
