I'am lucky and Have the same as OCD. Feed into the shop from the high lines, 200amp then 100amp to the house.

That is where I screwed up... I didn't get 200 service to the garage, just 100, and it shares with the house...

I plan on moving in a few years, but wish I still would have done it... Probably still could without much hassle...

Depends what you run. How many amps does the comp call for? (Edit 40 amps)

Last years model but brand new, so they knocked a few bucks off...

Also picked up a pre filter to go between the comp and dryer!!

Are you putting an oil filter before the drier? Are you bypassing the drier?

It shows just a separator before the dryer, and an oil filter after it... Yes, will build a bypass for the dryer, will only really need it for blasting, painting and powder coating...

Need to start the search for a decent powder coat gun...

Putting the lockers on, by myself!!

Lightened them up first to get them on the cart,

My cart jack deck was a bit too high to lower the locker onto the tool box...

Yes, epoxy floor... I did it over 13 years ago so it has some chips, scuffs and stains, but has held up pretty good!!

I keep it mopped up, and every once in awhile, like last weekend, I give it a scrubbing!!

Thanks guys!! It sure brightens up the garage!! I have a lot of red in the garage, needed to change it up... Plus green is my favorite color!! Red is the fastest!!

That canister looks like a standard 30CFM. What number filter? Did you hook it up correctly? Input down the middle of the filter.

35 cfm, max 250 psi... FIL14E13

1000 ppm w/w water droplets, .001 micron solid particulates, and 0.008 ppm w/w oil removal...


I think I hooked it up right, the arrow is pointing downstream!!

The gauge is temporary, waiting on couplings and ran out of plugs...

Finished up the second drop tonight... This stuff is awesome to work with!!

The pipe just slides into the fittings, if you want to remove it just loosen the fitting, pull out the pipe and tighten up the fitting to reuse it...

Fired it up last night and pressurized the line... Lost 20 psi in 17 hours, so I have to get the soapy water out and find the leak!!

Maybe I missed it but what is this electrical box for? Could you have moved it or put it behind the sheet rock in order to keep a straight run with the air line?

NOT criticizing, just wondering. Everything looks great. Though I'm not a "sticker guy" I see yours are all centered on the cabinet doors - very ill - but excellent.

PS: Show us photos of your leak detection and findings please. How does this aluminum line compare to RapidAir or Maxline? The biggest advantage I see (for us that are afflicted) is that it comes straight!

The box is for the compressor... You are right, it is in a bad spot!! I originally planned to have the compressor in the corner...

That has to be fixed... The wall beside the compressor is open already because of some house reno's I have going on...

I know what has to be done, just needed some incentive!! Not looking forward to crawling back into the corner of the attic to remove it... It was a pita to install... :sighs:

Needs to come down the inside of the wall to a box, like my other 220 plug... There are already holes in the 2x4's for it to run thru... Would only need to drill another hole in the top plate... Not sure if the cable has enough slack but I could put a junction box up in the attic...

As for the leaks, I still haven't looked for the one in the air line yet... I have the valve closed at the compressor to isolate the line right now... The connection between the valve and the compressor leaks... I tried some thread sealant instead of the tape and it worked on one side of the ****** but not the other... :sighs again: Lol...

So I will attempt that one again!! Can I use tape and thread sealant?

My drain also had some bubbles on the connections, I took it apart and resealed it all and no bubbles now!! I need to find a 12" 1/4 brass ****** to replace the 3 3", 1 2", and the 3 connectors holding them together!! :Redneckrepair:

Maybe use the yellow tape that's for gas? At least that's a vapor as is compressed air instead of water couldn't hurt to try. I THINK the yellow stuff is thicker than the typical white Teflon tape.

P.S. To accommodate your OCD, you can use a small wire brush to remove the visible yellow tape once you're sure the joint is air tight!

Pretty tight to try and get them to seal... I don't want to crack the brass shutoff though...

Ok, I am moving the power cable...

I have it coming down the wall and it would reach where I want to put the box, but it isn't sheathed the whole way... Not sure of that is allowed inside a wall?

I want to put it close to the other plug...


Can I run the wire like that? Can I use that breaker panel as a junction point if I can't run the wires unsheathed, or should I put a junction box up in the attic?
