My espstein day t shirt from last year is usa made.

So there is the Bayside (USA made) SK Day shirt, the Bayside Harry J Epstein shirts they normally sell, the Mexico made Gildan shirts they were offered the last two Epstein Day's and I think, but not sure there was a Armstrong/Channellock shirts that were given as well. I don't think those were USA made, but I never received one so I am not sure the country of origin.

As I've said in the past, I just appreciate the fact that there is any bonus items to begin with. Epstein, nor Wright, SK, Channellock, Armstrong or any other manufacturer has to provide any free merchandise, so I am not complaining at all.

To me, Epstein Day is neither about getting items for free or a "great deal" either. Never has been and never will be personally, but that is just me.

So, speaking of t-shirts...

Looks like SK is giving away this custom t-shirt to everyone that buys $100 in SK merchandise. Sizes go from Medium to XXXXL. Don't have one on hand yet. They're sending them out today. Also, there will be other little SK items that will be thrown in as well. Not sure what they are going to send me, but I expect some 2 in 1 screwdrivers, stickers, etc. Will let you know when it arrives.

Well I am sold and I've needed or depending on the perspective, wanted some SK items for a while now. Is that shirt made by Bayside Jori?

Either way, now I have a extra reason to buy SK items hehe.

I don't know. I would doubt that it is a US made t-shirt, but I'll let you know when they arrive.

thanks

Jori,

Thank you very much for your response. Well even if this isn't American made,SK tools sure are. To be honest, I was going to buy some SK items anyway, so this is a bonus.

Thank you very for much for any and all details.

EDIT: By the way, the first page still lists Epstein's Day as July 4th, but if I remember correctly that is the day the site is going to be updated. If possible could you please confirm that Epstein Day is going happen July 11th instead? I'll try messaging Bull and see if he'll change that information to reflect these official changes.

So here is the final word on Epstein's Day.

Website will launch July 4th. It is a work in progress. I'm launching it early to give you guys access to the entire Wright catalog. Most likely there will be some bugs. Feel free to let me know any problems you run into and I will get them taken care of as quickly as possible.

July 11th is Epstein's Day! Yeah!

Three companies have stepped up and offered giveaways:

We've got a number of Channellock US made 4 in 1 screwdrivers to give away for orders that include $25 of Channellock stuff.

Wright Tool is custom engraving (160) 9/16 combo wrenches with the words "Epstein's Day Garage Journal" on them for anyone that orders $100 of wright product. Also they have a little screwdriver they're going to throw in. Pretty cool.

SK is giving away a custom racing t-shirt for anyone that orders $100 or more of SK. Be sure to include your t-shirt size if you qualify for the shirt. Sizes range from M to XXXXL.

Other than that, have fun and thank you guys so much for supporting small business and US manufacturing! I normally have more to say but I am crazy busy trying to get the website up and running. This computer stuff is kinda hard.

PS

There might be some last minute stragglers in terms of giveaways and such. I will keep you posted.

Is there a magic word we use at checkout or what. In short what's the discount and how do we get it?

There is a comment box where you can add your GJ screen name.

0% discount - It isn't about a discount and never has been. It is about supporting a small family business and US manufacturing.

I'm in for a small order. Haven't missed an epstiens day yet. I'm not as active here as I once was, but had to check in just for this. This year has been kind of busy buying house, moving, selling old house. Old house will close July 27. Then i'll have cash to build a shop. Hopefully spend more time here in the coming months.

I'm in for a set of SK 1/4" drive metric sockets #SK1313, a few random Wright 1/2" drive sockets, and a few more miscellaneous odds and ends from other manufacturers.

Wish I could come up with a need for a few more Wright items! I'm gonna' keep looking!

You'll certainly have that chance July 4th as Jori is going to be adding much more Wright items. Man, I don't even know all that they sell, but I am pretty excited about this.

Jori: I am really looking forward to both July 4th and especially July 11th. Custom stamped wrench from Wright when you spend $100 from them, a four in one driver from Channellock if you spend $25 and last but certainly not least a shirt from SK if you spend $100.

I definitely am going for the Wright and SK, but ultimately what I am really excited is just supporting your business and giving back to American manufacturing.

For me, the best part of Epstein Day is this was created on a forum and by actual users of tools. That and this just goes to show the naysayers that there still are some people in America that care about American manufacturing.

Thank you very much for all your work.

Another mod had already edited my first post, but I also just pasted at the bottom of it Jori's "final word" on SK Day details as per a day or two ago.

Awesome!

Sadly I think I'll miss all the "swag" this time around. No worries, got my eye on plenty... just not SK, Wright, or Channellock this time.

Jori, those custom stamped Wright wrenches look awesome. I am very excited to see the actual image of the SK shirts as well. Only two days to the new website.

Thank you so much once again.

Jori, I know you are busy with the website right now, but this might be a selfish question, but is Harry J Epstein going to be closed on July 4th? As after all your hard work, I hope you'll be able to take a day off to relax. You and the team at Epstein's sure deserve that as IT matters of this magnitude are never simple.

I didn't read much of this thread, so excuse me if it has already been mentioned:

I was planning on placing an order today to help spread out some of the orders (or maybe I'm just excited). Is there a specific reason we are waiting for the 11th, or is this essentially Epstein "season"?

:see:

So as I am busily working on this new website getting it ready for Epstein's Day, a thought occurred to me, which is, that debuting the website on Epstein's Day is not going to be helpful in terms of giving you guys enough time to actually browse through it, look at the 1000's of new Wright products, and also be able to adequately complain about how much you liked the old website better. :)

So I propose that on July 4th, we debut the new website, and then give everyone a week to look through it, then we have the official Epstein's Day on July 11th. What do you guys think? This would also give the US manufacturer's more time to come up with free goodies to throw in with your orders.

I could go either way, but I think this might make more sense for everyone involved.

So... in order to get the swag do we have to order on the 11th? Or is it that we order between July 4th and the 11th?

I guess that's more along the lines of what I was asking. New website would be great, as the current ones isn't great for "browsing". Regardless, I already have more in my cart than my budget will allow anyway Haha.

Was going to order some WrightGrips anyway, but that Epstein's wrench is so cool (and my MOST used size), that I'll hold out if I have to.

Harry J Epstein Day is July 11th. Whereas with July 4th, that is the day the new Harry J Epstein site is launched. All you have to write when purchase products on July 11th is write "I am participating in Harry J Epstein Day."

If you want the free custom Wright wrench, you'll need to spend $100.00 with Wright related items. Whereas if you want the SK shirt, you'll need to spend $100.00 likely with non closeout SK items. Lastly, with the Channellock four in one driver, you'll need to spend $25.00 in Channellock tools that aren't closeout either.

Not sure how to simplify this, as literally this is that simple.

There is a custom made wrench, custom printed shirt and a USA made four in one driver with Epstein Day. Harry J Epstein is NOT about getting a great deal or buying items for next to nothing.

Epstein Day is about support American jobs and a independent business. Manufacturers don't have to give away these items away, but yet they are doing this anyway. This process isn't free so please remember that.

I am not trying to mean about this or come off short, but there is even two tags that talk about Epstein Day 2015 and July 11th. There has even been a update on the first page Jori has mentioned the date on multiple occasions. Maybe the way below might make this easier.

July 4th 2015: Harry J Epstein website updated. Not Epstein's Day on July 4th this year.

July 11th 2015: Harry J Epstein Day is today. Not July 4th, but July 11th 2015.

Wright: Custom wrench. $100 minimum order
SK: Shirt. $100 minimum order
Channellock: Four in one driver. $25 minimum order.
