Hi all. Ive spent hours upon hours surfing these forums and there is so much cool stuff to see. Anyway Im wondering If theres anyone near northeast ohio that has had one built. Who'd you have do it and how much money do you have in it? Im looking at a 30 x 36 or a 30 x 40. I may or may not have it attached to the house. Depending on the price difference. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

No real way to answer that. You could build a super basic no frills pole barn in that size for $15k or so. Costs can go way up from there depending on what you want.

I would say attaching it to the house will increase the cost, but how much really depends on the house, finishes, etc.

Ive looked at the carter lumber site. But it doesnt let me enter the demensions I want. The biggest options are 30 x 30 and only a 10ft height. I want atleast 12 ft high ceilings for a 2 post lift.

Where are you in NE Ohio?

I had a 24x32 built in late 2012 for just under 10K (w/o concrete). I used Quality A Garages out of Austintown, Ohio (Youngstown suburb).

Couldn't have been happier with the build and the builder. In and out in four days and the foundation, fit, finish, and total experience were out of this world.

With this type of build you have the best of both worlds, pole barn cost with stick built versatility.

Here it is in pictures:

Since you're in Akron swing by the Massillon Menards. They have a pole barn kiosk that you can play with and print out your own quote. I bought my barn package from Carters and it was a PITA with so many shorts on the material list.

Once the Menards opens in Cortland I should not need to step into Carter lumber again.
The Carters heating/plumbing was decent and I bought two H.E. furnaces from them.

Not a bad price.
What are the specs?
-pole spacing
-truss layout and spacing
-over hangs
-footers for poles
etc
