That contraption on the right is an indexing head. On the front you notice there is a plate with holes in it. Did Joel give you any additional plates with holes in it? That indexing head will turn that chuck on top to just about any amount of stops you can think of. Used for making slots, drilling holes, milling flats, etc in work pieces.

The contraption on the left is kinda like the indexing head only less precise and, of course, holding the work piece 90° from the indexing head in the horizontal. The gizmo next to the indexing head is a turn table.

Nice score, BTW!!! Which of course deserves a "YOU ****!"

Sounds like you had fun and a great time. 11 mpg in the box truck wasn't hateful either.
Ben and I got caught up on all kinds of things on the way out there and back and that was long overdue. I think we could have spent a week at Joel’s place hanging out and listening to his stories. It always seems like the most interesting people I meet are way too far away!

I was pleasantly surprised at the mileage of the truck as well. I was figuring 7 to 8 so 11 made me quite happy.

I'll let the others chime in on what is what as I know. No additional plates were available or included with the head.

I glad you found buc-ees bbq tasty!

I haven't heard mention so I am reluctant to ask. Did any of the buckeyes make it back home?

And if you or Ben had mentioned that seat I would have provided more to sit on at least a hunting cushion!

Enjoy!

I haven’t found any yet but I think what’s in there will serve my purposes. If not, I can make some if think.

We asked a few people in the store if there was bulk to go bbq and the answer was no each time. So no. Nothing made it past the IA boarder as it was all in sandwich form.

He wasn’t bothered until about half way home. When we were at his place getting ready to head your way his wife asked if he wanted another cushion and he said “nope”. I told him when we got back to his place that he needed to never grumble about a sore **** or he wouldn’t hear the end of it OR he needed to roll out of the truck, grab his **** and say “you were right dear, I should have grabbed the cushion”. I told him then and only then can you grumble about a sore **** !!

Yesterday I rolled up 18 beautiful bales of upland grass hay !!

I know round bales are round but look how nice and square that one is in all the right places !!

A buddy stopped over when we were unloading the bales and we chatted for a bit and one thing that came up was how dumb cattle were. Well lookie there. A dumb cattle. I had to cut the gate chain to get him out. He ran away and didn’t even thank me.
