Sadly, I can't keep everything. I have these 4 P&C old soldier wrenches, and I am wondering if anyone wants them, if so let's chat. Are they worth $20 + shipping for them all?
If it matters, they were all owned by a friend of mine, an old time kind of man; a real "good old boy", he was a logger and the kind of person you don't often run into any more. One day he called me up and said, "David I need your tractor." Well you kind of didn't say "No" to Chester, he was too nice and sharing a guy. He came and got my old tractor and roaded it to his place, and the first thing he did when he got there was to take it into his shop and start servicing it; greasing fittings, adding hydraulic oil, etc. etc.; checking things out, and so on. He used the tractor for just a couple of days and when he brought it back it was in better shape than when I lent it to him.
Also the kind of guy, when I could not get a part off my pickup (broke a 1/2" short extension in half trying), I called Chester. He had me come with my pickup into the middle of his shop; he had a big old compressor with a hose that looked to be 1" in diameter, but anyway he put his air gun on the nut I was breaking tools trying to get off, and Whizz - What's the problem? he said. And the day went on and I was working on my pickup, and out of the blue Chester said, "Come on, time for dinner." Well I protested that he didn't have to feed me, but that's the kind of man he was. I was in his shop, it was dinner time, so naturally I was to have dinner with him and his family.
Anyway that's a little bit of the romance about the original owner of these big old P&C wrenches.
I'll have to make another post, can't get the system to let me load photos right now.
