Anyone use them?
Yep!
Used 'em since I bought a set of used ball hex drivers about 25 years back, that had obviously seen use, but seemed to have no wear!
Since then I've sought out and bought PB Screwdrivers, Bit Drivers and bits, Allen Keys and punches. Never the cheapest (but not always the dearest) but consistently the best! I also once met Max Baumann the owner of the firm. I don't believe any one single person knows more about these products than he does, and I don't believe any company makes anything better!
Now, you can look at comparative tests and all that shite, and someone will say 'Kamakhazi Brand will take more load' or something, but I know from personal experience that you can overload any hand tool. Provided you don't, PB will work better, last longer, and be nicer to use than anything else out there!
Anyone use them?
Damn it, I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on some PB stuff. When pay day comes around I'll order something. I've been eyeing the bit set in the case but it's 100 bucks for 30 bits. I also want a screwdriver set as well as an interchangeable screwdriver set (interchangeable shanks). Has anyone used a set of those? Any wobble?
I love them and have lots of PB stuff. I do think the handles on their screwdrivers are too small in diameter to get a really strong grip and torque out of them. That would be complaint #1. And #2 would be the santoprene screwdrivers are great but a pain to keep clean. Oh and #3 the US distributors have too high of prices, especially considering the exchange rate and strength of the dollar. Someone here had a good place he would order from Europe direct. Would save about 25% now.
You guys talked me into it. Come end of the month I'll order a bunch of their products. I'll have to go through the pbtools.us website since I'm in Canada and Amazon Canada carries **** all for PB. Does anyone have experience with that site and how fast/reliable shipping is?
Tried to order stuff, order placed but was notified it was not in stock and I was not charged. Good.
Other times was trying to order other specialty stuff, they said they could order it but communication just disappeared and didnt reply back. bad
hautpot,
Were these your last two experiences with pbtools.us?
Thanks,
Dave

www.toollady.com
this is where i've ordered all my pb stuff in the past. I believe the original owner, barb passed away last year but i did receive a newsletter some time back that her daughter was taking the business over. If she's anything like her mom, you'll get great service and quick shipping. Their website is still up and running but i noticed that the most recent flier is from black friday of last year.

I tried to order via the website just now. Everything I put in the shopping bag came up unpriced. So the website does not appear to be functioning. I don't know about phone orders.
My local tool store..
That looks like a great tool store!

The only really disspointing PB Swiss stuff I own is their 225 series interchangeable blade screwdrivers. Way too much wobble.
I was looking at the 215 series interchangeable blades with the swissgrip handle.
