5450 long 1/2” pebble rat to add.

It was nice to replace its random hardware with two correct screws.

I love those long handled ratchets. I am still looking for the LA version yet.
Been sorting all the extras into brand groups, here are my Plomb.20200404_143644.jpg20200404_143745.jpg

Sent from my SM-G973U using The Garage Journal mobile app
Nice Chevy starter and motor support wrench (6731) not an easy one to find.

Did they make the earlier Made in USA pebble versions of these? I have never seen one of those.

Sorry about that. I do not know how full it is on the app. Should be clear now.

Picked this up over the weekend. 1/2" drive 11" breaker bar, with a few odd things. First, no model number, second, marked USA but it's a 1938 date. It's been well known that they went from Los Angeles to USA in 1939.
I'm wondering if this is one of the first tools produced after they acquired another company, perhaps Bog?

Interesting bar. AA had a write up on it for discussion.

Some plomb finds 2 thanks to Don.
USN Sparkplug Socket
Crowsfoot with different stamping location
Ford Shock Absorber Filler Plug Wrench
I will have to check to see if the Ford wrench had the offset in it or user added.IMG_20200420_191502018.jpeg

Nice additions.
The shock filler wrench is supposed to have the offsets.

Just curious if this is a factory piece or a custom piece?

Thanks Roy. I figured for sure that you would have a whole subset of dual marked stuff!
Nah haven't really gotten into them as agressively as everything else. Similar to Plomb hammers if I see on for cheap I will pick it up. But won't agressively go after them.
Here are a few dual marked tools.

Well there is another socket. I have never seen a dial 3/8" or 1/4" ratchet. I wonder if they exist.

The odd thing that I think about with the dual marked stuff is that to change the forged stampings to something custom like that, Plomb must have spent a lot of money basically to incriminate themselves, and then have to not only throw out all their profits, but also have to pay--AGAIN--to change all the forging stamps.....again.(it also begs the question on whether they may have simply destroyed unsold stock)

From a pure-business "bean counters" standpoint, that situation seems almost unbelievable.

According to Morris Pendleton, the amount they spent on his foolhardy dual-marked tooling (dies, etc) gamble, in December 1948, was $130,000. The amount they spent in 1949 to re-tool again to completely remove the Plomb name has never been made public as far as I know. But yes, that had to hurt. I elaborate on all of this and present a detailed timeline in my 'Lawsuit' thread, linked here.

so picked up these Plomb factory drawing/blue prints. One looks to be the gear inside a ratchet, and the other two broaching equipment..

You guys may remember my Custom Plomb Contraption hammer. I cut up a wrench to make the shank. But,I kept the other parts for an up comming CPC. We ended up using it today for the son in laws smoker project. Made a latch with it and a cream seperator wrench. Came out pretty cool. so I found that I had a Plomb paint gun!!! Ok maybe not really Plomb but It does have a pebble backfield just like Plomb Pebble!
