Here's a pic of my Wright wrench set and ratchets. The wrench bag is also made in USA.

Reviving this from the dead. My Wright Tool collection started with my Dad's 4400 when he died in 2003 I inherited it. I was a Snap On person when I wrenched on other peoples motorcycles but I've stopped that and anything Wright makes comparable has been replaced.

Picked these WrightGrip wrenches up at a local Flea this morning. 5/8" thru 1", looks like they've never turned a fastener. It was a chick selling them and she was tough !, wanted $45, and I got em at $40.

You should have laid them out and showed her the ones that are backwards :eyecrazy:
I would have tried to offer less:evil:

Ok then !, got this 3/4" drive set complete. Date code is 1946,marked Barberton. O. USA. 7/8" thru 2 3/8". Box is blue, so I don't know about original. I think it's been painted, but it was an awesome paint job. Some of the drive tools still have some of the cosmoline finish on them. The sockets look hardly used, but have only surface rust on the inside. Will be happy to post more pics if there is any further interest in this very rare set.

Nice collection, Fox! I have been sorting tools I've bought over the years into brand-names, and have a large tub full of Wright tools, I believe. I'll have to dig 'em out, and see what's in there again.

Found this pic from a while back....I should post this in the "Tools you found in the road" thread.

One day I was pulling out of work and saw something shiny in the road on the industrial park. Stopped to grab it, and got the Wright #6435 3/4 breaker bar. Hardly used.

Below it are a Wright #1932 striking wrench 1" and a #4400 ratchet 1/2" with black rubber handle. I bought both for $6 at a used tool store.

Dude! I may have to put you on ignore... you're going to end up costing me too much money!

(Just kidding about the 'putting you on ignore' part. The other is definitely true, though...)

Not a big addition, but I think it is cool. The 1/4 drive ratchet sets come with the #2441 spinner handle which is just the normal screwdriver type. Then there is this...the #2442, with a female 1/4 drive on the handle, steel all the way through, basically a 6" extension with a plastic handle.

I should mention that the model I bought had a manufacturing defect, the dimple for the ball was pressed off center and the ball just slid back and forth in the cavity, and wouldn't hold a socket. It was exchanged no questions asked. Had to wait a day, which wasn't bad, considering wright tool is 15 minutes away.

I highly recommend anyone in the northeastern ohio area stop in at Kromhard Twist Drill in Akron. They sell Wright tools, and their prices are cheaper than the Hartville Hardware. The only thing that ***** is they don't have much of a showroom, just a small standing space. The rest is dedicated to tools and tooling. They do a booming industrial-based business. They do have a Wright tools pegboard on the wall...very friendly people who work there. I highly recommend it.

ordered me some work tools,

bought both for 22 each shipped to my house.

these wrench sets are sold by an ebay seller for under 14 shipped. Bummed I got the older style 13mm but the price was still decent.

Found this in toolbox I picked up on CL. Odds that Wright will send a new ratcheting mechanism, like SK does?

Man Id really like a set of the WrightGrip wrenches......but my budget is probably gonna have me ordering the Williams SuperCombos.

I do have a small set of standard and metric standard Wright wrenches.....and of course the adorable 3/8 ratchet in 1/4 body.

I have a pair of 2400 ratchets that I recently acquired, rather like them.

I dont have any tools yet, but I am going with a set of SAE wrenches and 3/8 sockets soon. What i do have is a couple of the 15pc wrench rolls courtesy of 1foxracing, thank you again. What i found out and wanted to share about these rolls is that the gromets line up perfectly when hanging on a pegboard. Yes I know this little tidbit of info somewhat falls under the big deal category, but it was this minor attention to detail that swayed my decision.
