ALL: our Cleo(patra) came to us as a rescue as a 4+ year old with a different name. since she has big time TORTA-TUDE cause my wife like tortoise shell calico cats i thought of the QUEEN'S name CLEOPATRA, but mostly I just yell for CAT cause she doesn't come to any name that I mention unless she's hungry.
she's doing a lousy job keeping the raccoons out of my yard, but rabbits, rats, and mice are nowhere in site. we've been trying to tell her to let the birds go, but she's so quick i bet she could catch a hummingbird.
she needs to do a better job on killing the crows and running off the raccoons that are tearing up my front yard.
cheers all and enjoy your weekend.
Edit: Sorry for hijacking the thread.
I think that's skunk damage. They're after Japanese beetle larvae (grubs). The grubs eat the roots of the sod, which makes it easy for the skunks to roll it up like a carpet and chow down. It's a big problem at the golf course I volunteer at. We treat the greens and fairways, but it's just too expensive to treat all the rough. When guys get ambitious, they'll go out of a night and shoot a few, but that really doesn't make a dent.
