The Factory Five build thread is pending - pending me getting off my ****
Seriously, should be in a week or so when I get done accumulating tools and get to drilling.
Have you connected with any of the local guys who have done FF cars? Let me know if you want to get to know them - there is a lot of good knowledge locally on these cars. I have been involved with 3 builds (one street car and 2 race versions). I was the body and paint guy. It looks like they have improved their molding process since I worked on them.
The garage came out great - you giving tours at Cars and Cafe on Saturday???

Hi Chris,
Very nice build. I'm definately a lurker, but have been meaning to post up to your thread for some time. Everything about your build is awsome. I'm sure the Cobra will be just as nice. I've been to a couple C&C's and was wondering when the first one was going to be. If its not too wet, I'm going to try to make it out on Saturday. I've spoken with a couple of other owners and it seems like a great community.
Thanks for sharing your build,
Chad
Lakeville, MN
Edit: Wow! I didn't realize how much of a lurker until I saw this was only my 21st post after 5 years.

Thanks Frank.
Copper pipe is 1/2" from the closet across to the far wall where I'm going to mount the pull down hose.
I've ordered a black Bend Pak HD-9XW (higher lift version of the HD-9 I have now) and will probably order a 2 Post Bend Pak.
Good eye - I've had that scissor for a few years - great versatile lift. It's a Bend Pak MD-6XP. The scissor lift will host the FFR chassis instead of using jackstands.
I'm a big fan of Bend Pak lifts
Here are a couple of pics of the HD-9 and mid-rise in use at home:

Awesome setup. Where did you get the Gaming frame setup?

Do you have the glass top tables attached to the ground somehow? I could just see someone bumping one and it go crashing down..........ok I could see ME bumping into something like that and it crashing down hahaha

The mid-rise (scissor) or the 4 post?
The 4 post. Im in the market for a bend pak 4 post and am curious at what options you got and how the HD-9XW compares to the HD-9.

Thanks HIRISC
I will be making the purchase in June and am currently looking at the HD-9. I'm trying to decide on what options I need. Im thinking of getting the Caster Kit, 2 RJ-45's, and the Air Storage Bottle.
Are the standard ramps long enough for low cars?
also who did u purchase it from and did u install it or hire someone to do the install?
Thanks for all of your help
Frank

Thanks guys.
Although I'm not a big Sears fan - especially post K-Mart affiliation - I am a Crafstsman tool guy and have been for a long time.
The truck brands are awesome, but I'm not a professional wrench and my cheap self comes out when I'm staring at $10K for hand tools. I've brought some from my home setup as well as purchased some new stuff for the shop. The FFR build gives me an excuse to buy some speciality tools, but I'm not going overboard.

Maybe a little - but not on hand tools![]()
Well there is no point in leaving the job at 90%Truth be told it looks like you could just have a tool truck back into the shop.
Wow, a friend of mine just posted a link to this thread on his facebook wall. I just spent the last couple hours reading through it all, and I'm blown away at how awesome this build is.
I live in NC right now, but as it turns out I just accepted a job offer in Cannon Falls, MN and am moving to Eagan, MN in 2 weeks. In fact, our company headquarters for my new job is in Chanhassen, MN.
I obviously didn't make it out to C&C this past weekend since I didn't know about it and am still in NC, but I'll be there on May 1st!
I would absolutely love to stop by and check the place out if you don't mind. And if you ever need help wrenching on a project, I'd definitely help out!
What's your name and how would I know who you are if I wanted to introduce myself at the next C&C? I'll be in a grey Infiniti G37 Coupe.

I should be working, but I just spent 45 minutes looking at this thread. I know you've heard every compliment to this point. So all I can say is VERY NICE! I know this thread is why this site exists, and I'm sure you've inspired hundreds.
Well done.

Does the Camaro ever "mark" the Corvette as its teritory?
Yep it official I hate you. But in a nice way.
Awesome setup. Where did you get the Gaming frame setup?
