It's funny how that works. I've been watching something on eBay for two YEARS. Not kidding. Not Proto. Another brand. I made a few offers and had numerous exchanges with the seller over the course of a few days. A few months later, I had him down close to what I want to pay, but still too high. Last year I circled back and got him down a little more, reminding him that his final word to me the last time was, "If they don't sell, I'll take them to a big swap meet," by which I think he means a tractor/tool type show. The item is still there, still same price. And I find myself starting to cave. I thought I was wearing him down, but he's just been wearing me "up."

I have only seen one on the bay a few years ago and I didn’t bid as high as I should have. Traded bmw a pennens 1/4 set I found today for it!

I apologize in advance to whoever I sniped on this beauty on eBay at the last minute . I wasn’t going to bid and then at the last moment saw it was Proto LA and so I said what the heck… still in the box with both brochures! Paid just under $40 which normally I wouldn’t but couldn’t help it because of everything that came with it

Also got this cool N38 ratchet from jabberwoki ! I haven’t cleaned it up yet. I find it interesting how the handle isn’t finished and has no knurling? Anyone seen this before?

I got my swap meet mfd pieces all cleaned up and on the board! Anyone have more to fill holes?

A few recent additions to my collection including 201 mfd pliers, 202 LA pliers, 206G dykes. The 202s came from Smokeshow. This is the first Mexican made Proto I have found. I think it is super wierd that there are metric sizes on one side

I got a trade package in the mail today from D42! He really helped me out. Bunch of uncommon stuff like a few metric sockets, black oxide hinge handle. Also got a ton of nice clean sockets and this super cool mfd era 5216 socket box. Super cool! I will post some pictures of the board tomorrow

Also got this ignition set all cleaned up that ragtopta sent me! Came out pretty nice for how dirty it was

Got my pieces from d42 all put up on the board. Starting to take shape!
Also got my Proto N38 ratchet cleaned and serviced. The ratchet lead a hard life and both front and back plates had actual wear in them from the drive gear rubbing on them over the years. I used a spare fleet twin ratchet I had to donate a few parts to this one!

Received this item as part of a lot from eBay. On the face it only has 25 1/4 PROTO stamped on the top line. Looking through a few catalogs on archive.org I can only assume this is 6925 Bit Holder Attachment. Is this a case of an incomplete stamping? Possibly they were all like this?

^ if they all went down the line and they weren't indexed correctly in the stamping machine, they could miss a number or two (or three or four or.... ) not saying that's what happened, but it is definitely a possibility.

Got a trade package in the mail today from saukit! Fly lady box with mfd era cap screw sockets. Some of these are for my board! Got a few other goodies as well including a metric 3/8 drive 17mm socket! Oh also got this new in box wiggled/center finder!
