Using the stuff laying around the shop, then sticking it together. Wish I hadn't thrown so much away over the years, this is kinda fun!

Very cool !
What's your procedure for torching propane tanks ?

I have a pile of them behind the shop and leave the valves open (old style) until I am ready to create something, then I shoot them on my rifle range :D

Then bring them in the shop and blow some air through them and run over the newly made hole with a small propane torch to make sure all fumes are evacuated. Only had one out of approx 75 that flashed a small flame, it was very rusty inside.

I have also used 500# pigs for projects and repeated this same "safety" check.

That's some nice stuff. You have an artistic flair for making these little projects.

The bumpers are excellent. What thickness was the plate you used to make them? Also, how are the receivers for the trailer hitches supported behind the bumpers, or are they just welded to it on the inside and out? Thanks.

Thank you! The formed bumpers I make are 3/16" plate. The front bumper pictured has C channel for it's base and 3/16 plate for the rest. The receivers are reinforced with a hitch like structure behind the bumper and I go way overboard on mounting to these uni-bodied Jeeps. This front has 7, 1/2" bolts on each side. I have been building bumpers since 1994, wish I would have taken pictures of them all. Advice to anyone would be take pictures of the things you create, it tells a story!

Meet "Sinister Chicken" hatched over the weekend at Creative Acres.
Found the Pick ax's at the Army Surplus store and built around them with the junk laying around the scrap pile. Check out the Creative Fab Works FB page for more.

Never enough time in the day Glenn, my creativity time being threatened by clearing land for the barndominium build starting soon. As well as dismantling an old farm barn to salvage bits and pieces for the new barn.

We have another business, Pork Chop Slavage. First pic is of the barn dismantle project, next pic is putting some of the roof tin to use on our Cowboy Camp firewood shed. We have been finding great treasures under all this debris. This hand hewn beam will be going in our new kitchen!

An old canister vacuum that my grandmother bought new many decades ago, it now resides in our landscaping in front of the shop.

I really like those pumpkin-looking propane tanks! I'll have to try making a couple, my cousin who celebrates Halloween more than most folks celebrate Christmas would love them!

Great work. Thanks for sharing. I'd be really tempted to mount some circular saw blades on that CJ8.

looks like a waste of usable parts and tools for no good reason at all. this has been done for years. nothing new. please sell them for profit or wasting ur time and money. much less cutting tanks is not a good idea.
