I carry either my benchmade barrage or benchmade bone collector folder everyday.
Benchmade makes some of the most durable, sharpest (and easy to keep sharp), folding knives I've ever used... I've handled or used hundreds of different knives, but as far as folders go, I've never found any folding knife that is more comfortable/versatile/reliable to use than my benchmades.
A close second would be spyderco, but I'm 6'5" with hands to match, and the spyderco's I've used have all had handles that were just a bit too narrow to be as comfortable as the benchmades.
The assisted opening and full auto benchmades have incredibly durable mechanisms, and their axis lock as well as the "apb" (ambidextrous push button) locking mechanisms are second to none. It's hard to go back to a framelock or liner lock after using either.
My barrage has withstood drops of 30+ feet open and closed.
That being said, at work, I've also got an Olfa 9mm break-off razor knife on me, and a Mora fixed blade in the toolbox or on my waist. Different tools for different tasks, but when push comes to shove, the benchmade can do the job of either, in a pinch.
