I am in the market for cabinets for my garage and currently have my eye on Gladiator or possibly NewAge if the price is right. I'd be needing two tall, freestanding cabinets and two wall boxes.
Home Depot has the 36"W x 72"H x 18"D Gladiator RTA cabinets on sale right now for $209.30. My question is, are these "Ready-to-Assemble" series cabinets any less sturdy or lower quality than the "Premier" cabinets they offer? Also, is that a good deal? I know they're about $100 more at Sears right now. It looks like the only tall cabinets in the Premier line have casters on the bottom, which is nice, but means there's less room inside. Are any of these taller cabinets any less stable if I remove all but one high shelf? I will be wanting to store some taller items in one of the freestanding cabinets.
I was also looking to buy a couple of the Premier 30"x30" wall boxes. Looks like I just missed the sale at Sears. Is it safe to assume these will be back on sale in a month or two? Father's Day sale perhaps?
Any feedback is appreciated.
