Hi all, first post here.
Closing on my first house here within the month. It's a new build, so brand new concrete in the garage. Nothing crazy like some of y'all garages here, a modest 20x19.
Been looking at Racedeck since pricing is within my budget, and there's no "hit or miss" with the local epoxy guys here. I do a lot of DIY work on my cars. Sometime this year I plan on dropping a transmission to replace a clutch and some other items while I'm in there.
So for those that do work on your cars, how has Racedeck held up? I do realize I might have to purchase some new jack stands with the "flat feet" to prevent cutting the tiles.
Also, my house faces south so there won't be too much direct sun in the garage. But should I worry about tile expansion? I was thinking about purchasing freeflow tiles to line the border and help with expansion.
My garage also has a "step" on the back wall. Any recommendations on how to "blend" the step into the rest of the Racedeck flooring?
Is there any need to wash the floor underneath the tile from time to time? If so, how do you all usually handle that?
