Ok Rick.. it's been quiet for too long. I know you.. you've got something cooking for your garage.. you can NOT leave it this long without planning to change/improve something in your garage.![]()
Hey Rick! Hope you are doing great.
I was thinking of detailing my engine bay this weekend. Any suggestions and recommendations?
Read your entire thread and you are a motivator for me to become WAY more OCD about my garage. YOU sir are living the dream and I would look for any free/cheap input from you in my intro thread: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4668477#post4668477
Thanks,

And, was able to give my car a much needed wash. Powerwashed it on the driveway, then used my Optimum No Rinse. Here's a couple of finish shots. Won't last long, but boy does it feel good.

If I ever find a shortage of Griot's products in my local store, I know who to blame![]()

IMG_0468 by 55cadillacking, on Flickr/\ Great pics Rick. You guys been having some nice weather? Or a Chinook? I'll be doing a version of that in about a month or so when i know the snow and sleet is done for the season.
That with and without the race deck shot is fantastic! I love the look of those floors... still saving money in hopes to add it to my garage some day.
What is the light grey paint colour name that you used on the walls? I am about to start painting my new garage and I am looking for a nice light grey colour to use.
colors by 55cadillacking, on FlickrIt's a purchase I appreciate on a daily basis, for a few reasons.
Do you guys have Rona out East? If you do, here's the swatch I based my colour theme off.

Do you have a picture of the back side of the sample card?
You have one of my favorite garages!
Will be going to Griot's Garage today to get some micro-fiber orbital pads and to visit one of my cars that is on display there:
During my younger and more innocent days, it was in Calgary where the very cold temperatures were introduced. Very Cold Temps!

IMG_0547 by 55cadillacking, on FlickrRick - you've probably provided the most inspiration in your thread and site for me to update my own garage space. Just wanted to thank you. Beautiful work you do. Great looking site too.
Just ordered my RaceDeck FreeFlow. I just had my last winter with an ugly garage.

I must also say allot of what you have done has also inspired me.
It is sure amazing what the RaceDeck does to the total appearance of your garage.
Looks great, keep up the good work.

IMG_1346 by 55cadillacking, on FlickrLooks good, thanks for the demo....tbh, doesn't look nearly as bad as I expected, I could even live with that. Having said that, I would probably still use a plank of wood to protect the floor since it's hardly any effort...
I'm hoping Mother Nature doesn't seek revenge on me, but I went ahead and did the summer/winter wheel swap this weekend. I took the opportunity to video document the process. I posted a blog entry demonstrating the impact of the floor jack on my RaceDeck FreeFlow floor without the protective rubber mat I use. Also, I posted a blog entry demonstrating the process I went through to ready my winter wheels for summer storage.

That's what I've been up to. I have a few more ideas brewing for future posts. Stay tuned.
