Got a surprise when I got home from work today. Yesterday I called to get contractors to put up fascia soffits and door trim gutters and such. They said they could get started on it next Monday, but I get home today from work and to my surprise they have got most of it completed today . Still lack gutters and down spouts . But it's coming together nicely.

Wow incredible looking space...I'm not the biggest fan of bricks but that looks fantastic. Nice YJ too, always liked that color

Like Readhead says, you can get the boxes where you want them (between the ribs), it will just take some math. And, if you mess up you'll be able to tell by measuring from the panel that's already set.

Personally, I'd start from one side and work my way over to the other. That way there's only one length that has to be ripped.

Thanks for the tip . Yea like you and redhead said its just a little math . I think I got them all spaced out correctly now . I picked up a scrap piece of panel left over from dads roof and got the rib measurements . I think it will work out.

Thanks guys. It's funny that everyone is liking the brick so well, because I was going to put steel panels on it. But the wife wasn't having it. She said it's going to be brick . And I say brick cost to much and I could save a lot of money if we go with steel . But now I'm glad she pushed the brick it does look better since is is so close to the house . Thanks again for the compliments.

I should be plenty tall enough for what I'll use it for . When floor is finished I should be 11'3" at the wall and about 16' at peak . I've got few jeeps that I will be messing with. And an ole studebaker truck I'm thinking about messing around with too. And who knows what my boys may have in the coming years .

Got a little bit of grade on one side of house and garage done . Sowed some Kentucky 31 fescue and shook some straw this evening. A little at a time. Some day it will all come together

Getting ready for concrete !! Bringing floor to grade with stone need a little more to finish . Got a load ordered for Monday or Tuesday. Then plastic vapor barrier. Then # 5 rebar on 2' x2' centers. # 4 may be plenty tho what you guys think . With 5" of 4000 mix concrete.

What thickness or mill of plastic should be used? Something strong enough to stay intact while placement of steel and concrete are done .

It been slow progress , but progress of any kind is good. Got rained out of work today and finally got another load of rock . So I finished up the floor grade. Rented a plate compactor tamped it all down . Sub grade for the floor is complete and hard as a whores heart

Tools of choice today where ole bob the bobcat .?which is the best tool I own . A rented plate compactor and a rake . The rake I don't much care for. But careful placement of the rock with ole bob keep the rake work to a minimum.

Nice place!! Pretty much exactly what I'm aiming at except different door configuration. Love the brick, if you don't mind, was the brick more or less than vinyl siding? That is if you priced out vinyl.

Kmcphee I didn’t price vinyl siding but I would think it would be a lot less expensive than brick. I’m thinking about 1/4 the price .

Since it was raining today and that knocks me out of working on the job. I got to work on the garage some today. Did a little caulking and painting around the doors. And I moved some cabinets that I bought sometime ago to install in the new garage and another tool chest and welder from the other garage

I bought these cabinets cheap enough. They are nice and sturdy metal construction supposed to be lab cabinets.

But I’m gonna have to clean sand and paint them. And figure out some type of top to make for them . What color ? Any suggestions ? Was thinking match the charcoal gray on the wall . But I have some silver left over from another project.
