No other brands are involved in this particular recall, but I'd be very surprised if Ryobi and the brands Monte mentions wouldn't have products in common....
could be since they come from the same factory (Ryobi, AEG,Ridgid,Milwaukee)....much cheaper too - to use identical parts inside and just put a different housing on the outside ...
Monte, is Deutschland good about informing people of the country of origin for tools?
not really. You dont need to put the COO on a product.
In case of hand tools you mostly see a "Germany" when its from germany and from a german company. Importers mostly/always avoid putting a COO on the product.
In most cases power tools have a COO on the tool, except Dewalt, AEG and Milwaukee. Makita + Hitachi put a COO on the tool, except the ones which are from China. Bosch + Metabo put a COO on the tool + the package, most other brands too since they are mostly "made in Germany" anyway so you dont need to hide something...
There are alot of European tool brands I never heard before, but they look nice. How come no Pittsburg or Central Pneumatic?
We have "Pittsburg" here too, ours is called "Einhell".

But in most cases you will find "Bosch Green"

over here along with Skil as low price entry level tools. Noname brands are sold in every big box store too of course but every second power tool sold in europe is from Bosch. But the professional brands which are not sold in big box stores are mostly from german companies along with importers like Dewalt or Makita.
