Not really my intentions, but “Flaming Torso” is kinda where this thing is leading me.

A little midnight burn (close enough for an old fart).

Cleaning up the scraps and waste, and having an enjoyable time doing it.

Found a place to park the chainsaw “thing”.

Done with it for now, might cut on it more sometime.

Well done, Riv!

I christen it "Calypso Calling"

"The sun is going down on me
As she surrenders to the sea
So steal the night and fly with me
I'm calling, I'm calling"

...with apologies to Geri Halliwell

It looks good there.

I could definitely handle waking up to your water view every morning. I'll bet you're pretty glad you moved out of the city.

Beautiful day with a low tide. I thought I’d sample some oysters.

Picked up a couple natives too.

We have heavy plastic mesh bags that hold the oysters. They are zip tied to chains that are anchored to the beach.

We get some pretty strong currents.

Sorry, but I’m not **** retentive enough to clip my zip ties😜. Actually, leaving them long makes them easier to find in the mud and seaweed.

Ok, but do you have to populate (seed?) the plastic mesh bags or do the oyster larvae just find these bags and attach themselves? How often do you harvest?

Yes, we buy seed oysters. They take 18-24 months, depending on how big you like them.

This is our first try at this. We started with 400 seedlings. They should be fully ready mid summer.

Too nice this afternoon to not get the skiff out.

Went hunting for logs, but found other gold.

Then the neighbor caught me with his drone.
