I think this is the end for the USA made craftsman adjustable wrench. I remember reading about lay offs at Western Forge. I wonder if this is why. I'm sure Sears has a ton of these in the barn so it wouldn't surprise me if WF stopped making them a while ago and Sears is now blowing them out. They will probably be rebadged China crescent. Considering Apex makes just about everything else for Sears. ***** because these adjustable wrenches were some of the nicest for the money

The 15" Craftsman Adjustable Wrench is now $20.11 (regular price $49.99).

http://www.sears.com/craftsman-15-in-adjustable-wrench/p-00944662000P?sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=3&blockNo=3&blockType=G3

The two piece set with 10" and 12" Craftsman Adjustable Wrenches is $19.75 (regular price $$38.99).

http://www.sears.com/craftsman-2-pc-adjustable-wrench-set/p-00944012000P?sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=4&blockNo=4&blockType=G4

I'm starting to grab up these Made in the USA Craftsman Adjustable Wrenches now. Because in the last few weeks they have been putting these and the 6/8/10 three piece set on sale for half price or less than half price. Many times this is an indication that Sears is going to send the product line overseas to China. Let's face it, it would be easy for Sears to get a Chinese company to make adjustable wrenches.

So I figure now is the time to round off my USA adjustable wrenches, before the ship sails to China. I'm buying up all the various sizes as they go half price, that along with points and I am building the full set for next to nothing.

I'm showing $40 for the 15" and $31 for the 10" and 12" combo.

^ ^ ^ Yep . . . just like that the deal is GONE !! Fawkin' Sears.

Dangle a carrot in front of you, then take it away !!

Last night found out . . Sears . . . NO LONGER ACCEPTS Discover payments !! :shocking:

That being making monthly payment on Discover Card. Now they only process payments against their own Sears MasterCard by Citibank.

Yep . . . . rep said they stopped doing it 2/1/16 for both Sears & Hometown Sears - - -
- - - - so NO brick & mortar location to pay your Discover Card. Guess the breakup is starting.

Unless they did it by region, this has been in effect for over a year now. I quit working at Sears last January, and while I was still there they stopped taking Discover payments.

Sears hasn't owned Discover in many years. I don't see what "breakup" you're referring to.

Any practical use for the 15" wrench? I can't see when I'd even use a 12" that has a 1.5" capacity.

Picked up a Gearwrench 20 piece ratcheting wrench set for $45 minus a few $ in points. I prefer these non-reversible ones, less parts to break.

Also picked up an "El Toro" pizza. GRAB IT BY THE HORNS!

Metalwood, depending where you are located sometimes good deals can be found at Searsoutlet.

I picked up a couple of the middle chest last year for under $50.

http://www.searsoutlet.com/3-Drawer...&md=srh1_md&pn=1&ps=25&pid=128366&mode=seeAll

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip. Under $50 is a steal. I live in FL now but ironically they have the top chest I want up in NJ near where I used to live for roughly $200. A buck 20 is still a little high for me to drive out all the way to Orlando for the middle chest. I'll be patient, maybe they will reduce the price even further. Thanks again!!!

Yep, goofy, last week it was said to be ~$20.00, showed about $40.00.
I commented "that didn't last long."
an hour ago, it was showing ~$20.00, I said I should get it,
Now, showing ~$40.00:willy_nil

I should have jumped on it an hour ago.

Back down again , just ordered both .

I jumped on the 15" adjustable when I saw it was $21 added it to my cart when I went to pay it came up $17.74 ...what's going on? So I changed the quantity to 2, paid for them ($35.48 + tax free shipping) tracking shows delivery tomorrow.

When I checked the order status about 10mins later the price was back up to $49.99 ....I never will figure out what's going on at Sears!!

I order the 2 price set and the 15" adjustable. Says the 15" has been shipped and now I'm just waiting for the set to ship. Guess this makes up for missing out on the 3 piece a few weeks ago.

I already have all their USA adjustable wrenches except the 4". There's no way I can pass up the 15" though, I just ordered two (I'll have three in total now).

Thanks for the heads up on the 15"

Somehow, I was offered free shipping.

I received $22 back in points and redeemed them for a Knipex Universal Jaw Vise Grip (German-Made). My Knipex collection is complete now complete.

Cobras > Alligators, any day :D

15" adjustable shows as arrives by April 26th at my (semi) local Sears Hometown store.

Craftsman 3 pc. Pry Bar Set has an extra 10% off from the usual $19.99 sale price:

http://www.sears.com/craftsman-3-pc-pry-bar-set-in-tray/p-00943278000P

Might be the best time to buy this set because it now has 20% back in reward points ($3.59) with the $17.99 sale price.

There seems to be an extra 15% back promo that is stacking with the 5% back for Family & Friends promo.

Probably the best price point for this set yet. I do hope Craftsman is not planning to relocate production of these pry bars overseas. They "might" be clearing out inventory of the Made in USA bars. Wilde would be at a loss as a result and that would not look good on the record.

I usually like to use a tool for that particular purpose (such as a rear impact end, Mayhew's Dominator series), but I've read these Craftsman Pry Bars do take a lot of beating, and the handles never seem to break. Buy them while you can!

People started saying all the pry bars are Made in Taiwan back in 2013, but so far that's only been the case for individually sold pry bars. I don't think anyone has posted a pic of this 3-pc set showing Made in Taiwan.

Guys -

Coupon Code TOOLOFF2 gives an extra 20% off tool prices, this is in addition to the 5% off Friends and Family. The codes stack, 20% and 5%, plus whatever else codes or offers.

Edit: Looks like there is a restriction to this code, only applies to "General Purpose Tool". Which is most tools, but some don't seem to take this code. The Craftsman Adjustable Wrenches take this code, screwdrivers, Knipex, Channellock, all take it. But the Pry Bars don't. So, most take it, some don't. Hit or miss.

That code is picky, so it doesn't work with anything beyond a basic hand tool.

Yes, but works with all the Knipex, all the Channellock, pliers, adjustable wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, wrenches. Basic hand tools.

Not going to work with power tools or specialty tools and such.

At least worth a try to throw in the coupon code field, and see if it takes.

Which hammer? I've didn't have success with the code the last time I ordered a hammer.

Edit: Just tried several hammers, but it still doesn't work on them. The programmers definitely have their own definition for "General Purpose Tool".

Thank you EdJack, the coupon code doesn't seem to work with all Knipex products. I tried using this code with Knipex 10" Locking pliers - universal jaws, but results in an error when checking out. This coupon code pretty much says it all, General Purpose / Screwdriver Sets only. YMMV

Hit or miss on the code, so YMMV.

I used it on several hand tools. Including Knipex, Craftsman, and Channellock. Some work, some don't. Worth a try for 20%.
