Can't say that I've used those, but I own this Gearwrench 20pc, that is also 50% off, and $10 less than the ones you linked to. And I like them

Actually I think I paid $20 more and got the set that included the stubby's as well. Currently at $89
Funny, Yesterday I got an email in my inbox, Showing the 20 piece @ -40% 0ff. ..................lol
I almost posted it here.
Saved the email for later to possibly post, but I had about an hour ride each way, to pick up the union tool chest posted elsewhere.
Now I see i't $10.00 less than My e mail. :eyecrazy:

I'm seeing $12 back in bonus points on a $50 order, also. I'm tempted to just order two packs of the snips.

You all had me worried for a moment , but I see it is still working fine for me on tools $10 or more.

Here are items that are giving me the SYW MAX free shipping all the way to the final checkout page:

$10.07 - http://www.sears.com/gearwrench-0-x-60mm-phillips-head-mini-screwdriver/p-00991518000P

$10.23 - http://www.kmart.com/prime-wire-ec890708-8-foot-14-3-sjt-3/p-03417955000P

Some items are excluded from MAX, such as TP on Kmart. Guess it's considered a bulk item.

Anyone else having trouble with SYWR Max? I tried these two items and I can't get anything to ship free under $30. They charged me for my membership renewal in December, but I haven't been able to get free shipping on anything less than $30 since then. Now that my local Sears is closing, I can't even do free store pickup.

I've called twice, webchatted twice, and emailed a few times and haven't gotten anywhere.

I just ordered a 10" Knipex Pliers Wrench for $40 shipped, with $15 coming back in points. It's listed at $50 online right now, and I just tried a bunch of different coupons from the coupon center. These ones worked:

- $10 off $50
- an extra $5 back in points on an order over $25
- ...and I'm not sure where the other $10 back in points came from

:rocker:

Still need those snips though...it didn't make sense to put them in this order.

Okay.... figured out my issue. My MAX membership didn't renew because my credit card changed last year. However, they kept sending me my $3 in monthly points. So I went and paid the $39 (well, $36 because of my $3 in points). A few minutes later and all is well.

Do these ever go on sale? http://www.sears.com/craftsman-8-pc...SellerId=Sears&prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1 I would like to get a set of these pliers, but will wait if they might go on sale.

I've been watching that set for a while and I've only seen it go down maybe $5. I think it was on a good sale a long time ago which put it on my radar but has not been a great price since then. I have it in my save for later list so I see it all the time. Of course with Sears you never know what each local store might do.

I have been watching it the past few weeks and haven't seen it do anything. I guess the regular price with some bonus points will be the way to go.

The Irwin 8-piece roll might be worth considering too: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/ol/B000GR37WU/ref=mw_dp_olp?ie=UTF8&condition=all

Currently $81 shipped "Like New" from Amazon warehouse, or $72 shipped "Used - Very Good" from a random place that resells open-box returns over Amazon.

A friend of mine got this set and used the bejesus out of them retrofitting a 20-ft steel boat with new controls everywhere, and he was very pleased with them.

About done with Sears. Tired of the website - pages hang, can't complete transactions, won't accept a valid debit card (forcing me to go thru Paypal with that card), and email coupons that won't load to my account. Not worth the hassle trying to place an order.

I ordered my lil boy 2 outfits at the same time. They shipped separately. I got one and not the other. Waited 10 days. Nothing. Called, they said they would cancel and refund. That was 3 days ago and still nothing. And it takes so damn long to get someone on the phone

It's crazy how good their SYWR customer service is compared to the rest of the company. I guess they like having it backward. Typically you want people to make the sale, before worrying about rewards

I have a feeling they're trying to transition the company over to be SYWR entirely. I noticed on the website that their Mastercard now says Shop Your Way on it rather than Sears.

^^^ I think that is a "new and improved" Sears mastercard. It looks like the rewards are very similar to Costco's mastercard offering, except Costco offers plain old cashback whereas Sears is offering points. I'm not sure why they would be so cheap with points. I wonder if there will be promos for Sears mastercard holders where they get 2x, 3x, 4x, etc points back when using the card at Sears.

I tend to not trust prices from in-store tags. More often than not, it seems others stores don't have the same sales. The only guaranteed price (and that is used very loosely when talking Sears) is their website prices

I was guessing special store pricing too but you never know. Just a heads up if anyone has time to kill or is going in store already. Sorry for sideways picture.

If the price ends with a 4, it is more than likely a store-specific price that is YMMV. Usually some other stores will have the same price, but I have no idea how they determine which ones. You used to be able to find these deals online under the local store ad page, but they've done away with that.

Have to be a Craftsman Club member to see the extra points.

The price can drop to $9-$10, but even then everyone complains about it being made in China.

No longer have to use it at Sears to get extra points:

Supposedly, Shop Your Way was Slick Eddie's baby, and had more money pumped into it.

Keep in mind, you're not a customer. You're a "member"! :D

Ya, his goal was to be more of a "customer information" company that sold that to other companies. When you allow 3rd parties to sell on your site, that are in direct competition with you :headscrat, it says something, and not good imo.

Well, Amazon and Walmart.com also have third-party sellers. It seems to be a very common thing now with websites.

Ok thank you, makes sense and I now see that was mentioned awhile ago. I knew there was the .97 and .88 correlation. Shame about the online info cut.

Well I understand Amazon, but I think Walmart just wants to compete with Amazon. Though the 3rd party list prices on Sears makes one think if they even want to sell what they selling.

Well, this stinks, Sears used to sell Bully Tools' Snow Shovels, and now I can't seem to find them on Sears's website anymore. I'm trying to see if I can order Bully Tools 92813 27" Snow Pusher. I used a couple of their shovels today which saved my a$$ and they are dam* good quality. And after points, makes the deal even sweeter. :D

WHAT!! :shocking: that is all I used my points for lately. I figured they had to be losing pretty good on those items. I have a triangle hoe, mini rake, couple other odds & ends that I have been MORE than pleased with.

and MADE in USA!!

edit: looks like most Bully Tools are still there, but they must have dropped a # of items, because Sears definitely offered more than the 117 items it is currently listing.

I don't know if that is the one they are looking for, but that isn't sold by Sears, which I think is fine for straight redemption of points (not 100% on that), but I know you can't use coupons or surprise points unless it is sold from Sears.

I would think Sears could default to Sears only results (maybe they really don't want to be in business?), and then alert you at the the top tabs their is 3rd party options.

Snips-watch, day 18 (or so): They're down to $24.

I actually ordered them for store-pickup yesterday, but there's a 30-day window for price-matching, so I should be good. I also used surprise points for $10 off $35, so it's all gravy from here. :bounce:
