I got a $10 off $10 clothing coupon last week. Combined with the $5 game points posted here last week, I bought a couple pairs of cheap lounging/pajama shorts for free.

I can't understand how these guys are still in business.

The 6" vise is showing on sale for $45.99 with $23 back in points. Don't need one, but had to buy at that price.

Can you share your thoughts on the overall quality of the vise?

Thinking about picking one up. Or is it better to get a used USA made one off of Craigslist?

I read every review before I bought it and the broken jaw writeups did concern me, but it was a small number of the 175 total reviews. It was 4/5 stars. I disregarded those that wrote positive reviews within a few days of purchase, but there were enough that had used it regularly for some time. At $109, I wouldn't have taken a chance. At $45...not a big deal.

Are you sure about that? I recommend reading the (many negative) reviews before wasting your money.

I read the reviews when they were on sale a while back and decided against it. Now it's even cheaper and I know not to expect much out of it. So for that price I'm willing to take a chance and use it in my fishing/hunting/hobby room where the most stress it will be under is clamping an rc nitro engine for something. I have wasted more than 15 on other things so it's worth the shot to me

If you can get an old USA-made vise with the same cababilities (size, swivels) from Craigslist, you should absolutely go for it, you won't regret it. They're beautiful as well as functional, and you know it won't fail unless you abuse it. But you also won't *want* to abuse it.

A 6" vise for $25 that you're also not afraid to beat up...that does seem handy to me. If you've got the space.

Sears app says download for $5 off $15. I click on it, log in and it says "offer has already been issued".

How is that possible when I never even logged in on the app yet?

This isn't Sears but a Sears product, kind of an odd auction which includes your choice of any of the 75T ratchets for $12 shipped with BIN. Not my auction. I still think the 75T's are very nice (esp for the money) while other people find them disappointing.

The seller has 100% feedback (shrug)

Ign, or others, when were these 75T ratchets made?
Happen to Know The COO? don't see it in the E bay ad.
EDIT,
That's a good price.

China.

If you think that's a good price, then you should check out the prices on Sears.com.

The lowest price I see for a 75T is

$19.97 on the 1/4" drive.

You're right. They are about $20.00, $22.00, and $25.00,
The $12.00 one must be the regular one.

Thanks for the heads up on the 6" vise. That'll be a welcome step up from the tiny vise I'm using currently. Good enough for my needs and a great price.

Doh! This is the first I've seen of the auction that allows you to select from a drop-down. On my desktop it was not apparent (to me at least) but on my phone it's glaringly obvious. Sorry!

If you wait till they have sales you can actually pick up socket sets + 75T ratchets CHEAPER than what they charge for just a ratchet... go figure...

i have used the 75T in 1/2 and 3/8 (i have the 1/4, but not used it yet). they are great ratchets, and have great handles. for less than 20$ each, they are a great value.

of course, handles on ratchets are like a religion, and i can see others not liking them.

You have $5 in surprise points (5,000 points) to redeem

on your purchase of $10 or more (grocery and other exclusions apply).

Expires on Mar 05

hmm hoping $10 worth of good deals float by in that time.

Craftsman 16pc 3/8" Drive SAE Socket Wrench Set with 75T Ratchet $20.39

It is a reg sale deal but for those looking at the 75T ratchet it is a decent deal. I bought mine after they came out and i like the ratchet but should have waited for the sales

http://www.sears.com/craftsman-16pc...lerId=Sears&prdNo=18&blockNo=18&blockType=G18

I was in Sears yesterday, that had both that set & the metric for $19.99 on clearance... Leftovers from Christmas...

The SAE set is actually pretty nice 6-point with sizes up to 1"... Wish the metric had comparable large sizes.

During Christmas they were $20 w/50% back in points... Can't beat a set for $10...

No, you didn't miss out. Our local Sears store is closing also. They came I and raised everything back up to MSRP. By the time it gets to 50 or 60 percent off, the prices are back down to what Sears normally charged. They had the 20 piece Gearwrench set for 50% off - the price was $49.99. That's the price that set usually sells for there. So definitely don't feel bad lol.
