I picked up some good deals at the Salem, NH store today. Some have been mentioned here previously, but I will repeat them regardless.

Craftsman Heavy Duty Disc Pad Spreader for Single and Dual Piston Brakes - $5.47
Craftsman Harmonic Balancer Puller - $6.47
Lisle 3 pc. Body Trim Tool Set - $7.47
Craftsman Professional 4 pc. Hook and Pick Set - $8.47
Craftsman Cable-operated Hose Clamp Pliers - $10.97
Craftsman Strut Spring Compressor Tool with Built-In Safety Pins - $14.97
Posi-Lock 4-in. 3-Jaw 5 Ton Gear and Bearing Puller - $19.97

From what I have gathered, if your store has any of these in stock, there is a good chance that they will ring up at the above prices. Check your LocalAds.

why does none of the prices match what it says in the link???

IME, Sears website prices never match the clearance prices. I bought a pair of the cable hose clamp pliers the other day for $10.97. The website for that store showed them around $24. Basically, you just have to go to the store and do the legwork, much like HD clearance.

Very True, for some reason, I try to avoid walking into a Sears location, their tools section is right next to a King Sized Bed for customers to drool on.

Could you post a picture of your receipt for the brake spreader? There's no price listed online for them any longer, my local stores said they'd match online prices, but alas, I've got nothing to reference. They're all still listed at their last normal price.

Ok guys, been awhile since I had many super deals to post here, but I did find one thing: Gearwrench Metric 3/8 and 1/4 drive Mid-Length or Semi-Deep socket sets here for $42.95 with free shipping. This is about $10 cheaper than anywhere else right now:

http://www.shopyourway.com/gearwren...-w-free-metric-mid-length-socket-se/442026371

I really like the SK semi-deep set, but they are over twice this price, so for cheap, I don't think you can beat this deal. Points excluded so it is what it is. - Paul

They also had a few other GW deals - check them out as you please.

Be careful, I have a set of the deep 3/8" drive metric sockets and the inside of the socket is only machined for about a half inch. Can't run a nut/bolt all way down the socket.

Sure. Some of it appears to have been cut off, but the important bits are there.

Just bought the 7 piece metric and 7 piece sae nut driver sets. $15.99 each. Still USA made at my store. I had $20 in expiring surprise points so paid a bit over $12 after tax for 14 USA made nut drivers. The price is online only so I had to go through the in store pickup hassle but I'm happy with the deal.

LOL at the Sears "stores" if that's what you call them. The one here is more like a very disorganized garage sale. The pegboard that holds the hangers for individual wrenches and sockets etc is all broken and most everything has fallen off and lays in a random heap at the shelf bottom.

They hardly ever have anything you want in stock, and the lone kid who works the hardware dept. was watching gay **** on his phone under the counter the last time I was in there.

I did find a few random ratcheting flex wrenches (individual wrenches) marked 1.97 each which is absurdly cheap. At the register they scanend for like 20.99. I took the kid over to the shelf and showed him the 1.97 tags. He pulled them off and said they were tagged wrong but "he had to give them to me" for 1.97. He said he hears all the time the store is closing and they hardly ever have any customers. He could've cared less.

What a sad state of affairs for a former American iconic retailer. It's both hilarious and sad at the same time.

3.00 a piece with a lifetime warranty can't be that bad. Anyone know how bad they are? Assuming China by now.

The Evolve warranty is such a pia
It has a lifetime warranty only if you have a receipt.
Evolve is what the old companion **** was and that didn't have a lifietime warranty, receipt or not.

It doesn't matter, Sears will be dead soon. I stopped at the mail with the wife and Sears was loaded with people buying all the junk tools for the same prices or higher they are during the year.

That would be pretty annoying if that is how these GW ones are designed. BUT, for me, main reason for semideep is convenient size to give some lift off the bolt head for access. For needing to drive the nut on a stud down, deeps or pass-throughs would probably be more my choice. I might get these myself and try them, as I have some other GW sockets that are really good for China COO. I do prefer SK of course, for any and all sockets, and have a bunch of them too, but I can't afford SK for everything. Most of my SK is used, long long ago and still working good. - Paul

I agree. I just returned the HDX Set the other day and settled for Midwest. The Evolv is a good backup alternative though if you don't want to stress out your more expensive hand tools.

I think even the Home Depot HDX set is the same price, although I'd take Evolv over HDX

This doesn't seem to be available to me but it seems to be a 100% SYW points rebate when you buy a Seiki television.

Seiki tv.jpg

There are several other high point return items for VIP members.

I'm VIP and it only gives me 11,300 pts back on purchase

You need the Seiki TV coupon. I already chose one VIP Choice coupon at the beginning of this quarter, so I can't get another coupon until January when a new quarter starts.

Here's the list of coupons for VIP members:

Well damn. So I can get one of these offers per quarter? This is the first I have seen of this program. Guess I need to read more what my pathetic silver level gets me.

So I pick one now, then the rest will change to not available until next quarter???

Yes, you gotta put some thought into what you want, because customer service won't let you get another coupon unless the item is out of stock or something for the coupon you picked.

Here's another page explaining the VIP program:

http://www.shopyourway.com/newvip

The FREE PERSONAL SHOPPERS and FREE SHIPPING FOR VIP MEMBERS is :bs:, because you don't need to be VIP to get those two services.

I just read about that CONCIERGE SERVICE, and I'm curious about those "free in-store gifts".

Low end HDX/Evolv hand tools "stress" me out much more than using my $$$ hand tools

Somehow I had 30.00 in regular points in my account. They were not surprise points. They were not the points I am due for the led pocket lights I bought.

Just happened to log in tonight and saw they expired tonight. Don't need anything so I bought 10 more free led pocket lights and will get more in points back again. Hopefully in a week I'll need something.

That website disgusts me. Two online orders recently were lost in space. Now both refunds are lost in space, I have orders I picked up that say in process and allow me to cancel, I can't see all items in my cart because it errors out. I can't delete saved items in my cart.

This last order for lights would only allow me to use my 30.00 in points if I shipped. When I pick store pick up it says zero points available.

I have email receipts that don't match what online past orders say.

I have orders for tool boxes, tools, etc that I picked up that don't show anywhere on my online past order pages.

When I click show more orders on my orders page it just duplicates the listing on the current page and shows two of everything.

Had something similar on our accounts... I used the points so if they screwed up again its on them.

My order page is also a mess, most of the stuff show ready for pick up even though I picked them up weeks ago. Some months old. Orders not even there but never had one not go threw and my ready for pick up e-mails all ways showed up.

Sure did! Picked up 8 (awl, bit driver, 3 phillips, 3 slotted) today, plan on going back tomorrow.

Were these at the outlet or regular store?

So somehow, I racked up $40 in points, including a bonus $25 for picking up dinner wednesday night at Popeye's. So, just used the quarterly coupon for 100% back on the C3 Brad Nailer. So now I'm up to $190 in points.... what to get? lol Thinking the $99 Dril / Impact combo or the Drill/Light/Circ Saw / Sawzall combo with those points...

$10 off $50 and $7 off $100, just to clarify, that was seven dollars off if I spend one hundred dollars....FML.
