I've been feeling the same way... ordered up the 1/4" c3 impact cause I had a 100% back in points coupon... and somehow got 120% back in points. So basically, I bought that, got the C3 shopvac and angle grinder, and some clearance pre cut foam drawer mats for free. I don't get it, at all, but I think I built a hefty C3 collection in the past month for around $300. 1/4" impact, shopvac, angle grinder, 5 1/2" trim saw, recip saw, drill, right angle drill, brad nailer, a flash light, and the ratchet too. Plus, I don't know how many batteries or chargers.

Nice work.

It's at the point where I have so many dang points/coupons and I'm browsing through stuff I'm not sure what to get any more.

Hopefully my cheapie orders apply towards gold vip status.

And I say that laughing. I want to call up the concierge hotline and have a store manager meet me when I enter the building.

In short, I don't understand how they stay in business.

I'm right there with ya. Heck, I think I cleared out one of my local stores inventory of those swiss made pro reciprocal saw blades that came out to 50 cents a blade all on points just because I ran out of things to get.

Oh, this is the best of times for these points + deals + discounts + coupons stacked up on each other. We're gonna miss this whole points game when they finally go under, most likely sooner than later.

I'm wondering if the time is already here... I haven't been able to play Sweeps for several days.

I am glad I am not the only one who picked up those swiss blades as well just to use points/coupons/rewards.

You had to be a VIP member to get the 100% back coupon, so that means you also qualified for the VIP 20% back offer. Total 120% back in points.

See here for the 20% back on that impact driver:

Just picked up the 5 pc. Craftsman Tappet wrench set for $22+tax, and I got $20 back in points! Still, I have to say, I'm really disappointed that they are now made in China. After reading the reviews on the website that say they are US made, it was a big let-down, even though they only ended up costing $2 and change for the set.

Bummer, I would be all set to buy a set but I don't want the Chinese ones

Reviews used to show the date they were written. All the dates have disappeared. I believe this changed in just the last week or so.

Of course, those reviews saying Made in USA are several years old.

Sears being unethical, or just business, you decide.

Any recommendations for a filler for meeting amount needed to use surprise points? Only need .01

If you're picking up in store go to local.sears.com and choose your store, then tools, and sort by price. Usually several items less than $1.

Can mix and match with Sears.com stuff in your cart as well as other Local.sears stores. I ALWAYS check both before ordering and be careful - sometimes Sears.com is cheaper and sometimes the local version is cheaper.

I bought this set back in Feb of this year for around $24. They were USA. Are the Chinese wrenches much different looking than this?

They are fully polished, and have no country of origin markings on them. Mine are way nicer. Wanna trade? ;) Seriously though, They cost $22, but I got $20 back in points:headshake I still would have preferred to have paid full price for a US set.

Ha! Wife told me the same thing when I had $30 - socks and underwear!

I ended up with a so-so stud finder.

Check out the DMT diamond sharpening stones. I almost pulled the trigger on one of those.

I was recently in the same boat after having 100+ after buying a bunch of big reward points purchases. I've spent all mine, but in amounts of 30 40 50 over a month. During this, I've noticed a huge amount of surprise points coming my way. I bet that 100 has turned into at least 130 in points.

Even after I was points broke, suddenly a text for 10 off 20 in surprise... um, yeah, sure Ill take a 3 pc USA pliers set for $15 bucks picked up at my local store (soon to be the way of the dodo I;m sure). Didn't need them, but thanks sears for letting me know that I did, someday I'll be even more grateful.

Yes they work with surprise points, best to try to make them work together.

One thing I look for if I need a filler or have points to burn are little things on sale i can give as gifts. Little flashlights. Picquic screwdrivers ( some of my favorites actually), bottle openers, stuff like that. I have a little tool box just filled with it. If I ever need a gift on the fly I got something in there.

Exact same boat... I've exhausted most of the good things at Sears over the past couple years and I've got $100.45 in points. Unfortunately I've got no need for any more gladiator cabinets either (that used to be my go-to option to burn large quantities of points).

iirc the "A-AD" is the new country code format reserved for countries other than the US

The first "A" is the manufacturers plant code that happens to be in China, not a country code in and of itself. The second "AD" is a date coding for A=1 and D=4 which means 2014.

Check out some of the Wera sets on sears.com. Also look for Vim sets. Got a great hex socket set last year.
