I like my Craftsman version well enough, but here's an alternative for a lower price:

KD Tools Digital Tire Gauge $5.99

prod_1625543512

I got the kd one. Works pretty good for what it is. Basic, no backlight, but seems pretty accurate.

Based on reviews, big gamble

Yeah, reviews are either really great, or awful. One guy said the case isn't sealed at all around the circuit board against moisture, so he sealed it all up. I think ill do the same. Got $20 back in points too, and free shipping (they'll probably pull that quickly, they usually do). Had a $10 off coupon, and points, so about $25 for me.

Thanks SPN

Craftsman electronic digital torque wrench - formerly made by the Danaher company of Alpharetta, Georgia (U.S.A.)

COO = CHINA

Since I found this other web site with fix-it instructions for the torque wrench, I'm going to take the gamble. Fix-it instructions only good for USA models.

There is a GearWrench model and MAC TOOLS sells the exact same torque wrench for $552.45

Thanks for posting the repair instructions link. I can't find that 34875 wrench as the gear replacement parts on Sears though. Wish there was a pic of it.

anyone actually have this jack?
reviews are mixed, I could use one for in my trunk, I just found out I don't have a jack with my spare, :)eyecrazy: Way to be prepared right?)
anyways, some said the jack bent even.
But then again, he might have not had it under the car square.
I am not expecting $600.00 quality for $45.00.
think it would be good enough for light infrequent use?
I got one like it at Walmart nor my girlfriends KIA (They don't come with a spare at all :headscrat :( :eyecrazy: ) and the W/M one is decent.

"anyone actually have this jack?"

I've had one for a couple years, it's ok ....don't expect a heavy duty jack but in my opinion it's acceptable for most DIY stuff.
I read the reviews of the jack bending and the only thing I think would cause that would be misuse or user error :eyecrazy: .

I bought this creeper when it was 19.99 with free shipping and it is just a step or 2 above laying on a piece of cardboard.

The harbor freight ones are nice. I think their Pittsburg or whatever, their all plastic with red poly wheels. Not much difference in price.

It works... BUT it takes like 40 pumps before your car is a few inches off the ground, I bought the HF jack ($60) 4 pumps and my car is all the way up.

Finally made it out to my Sears outlet or clearance center or whatever they call it.

They had C3 1/2 impacts for $69 with a battery. That is a great deal. Mine removes my 150 ft/lb lug nuts without issue, though I do have the "more powerful" battery.

There were still some of them socket sets left, even the 1/4 impacts. I think down to $10.99.

They had 100 or so of the craftsman professional drivers by WF. I dont get the craze, its the first that I've handled them and the tips looked like really garbage chrome tools. Had a T27 in my hand for the Harley but even put it back. Were these chromed all the way through the tip? They looked bad.

They had the Dewalt reversible metric sets, but they were still $40. Nice set, but I need an 8mm

NO GO . . . . . . Sears says . . . "We're Sorry. This coupon is no longer valid."

That literally all happened between 11-12. Prior to that all my coupons were working. I had to call for them to add coupons. But the $10 off one worked like an hour ago!?!

OK, Thank You, :bounce:
The heck with that, the one at walmart works better than that.
May as well get the walmart one, and get the $14.99 jack stands on sale right now.

I'd recommend spending 12 bucks more and getting the professional version of the jack stands on sale right now.

Got one a couple years ago, used it ~6 times, and the shaft that goes through the two front wheels started to bend down in the middle. Sometimes a pin on the jack would catch on the frame coming down too. After a few uses, it felt unreliable.

Short of it is, it got me by for the job I needed it for, but I wound up buying a professional model jack that'll last my lifetime for my next repair. Would probably look elsewhere for anything that's serious.

This bow saw was on sale for $5 the other day. I'm still trying to figure out (without going into the store) if this is Made in the USA. Any idea?

prod_1796167012

and

This lopper was on sale yesterday for $13. Price "may" still be valid in the store.

Came to know that the lopper is Made in Taiwan. From the price point, I wouldn't mind using them beyond their intended use. Then again, the blade on the bow saw may not be so good; would have cut open oil filters.

Is the floor jack for this any good?

I've had that set for roughly 8 years, and it no doubt has changed. The jack looks a bit different, but maybe not.

I think when I got my set it was $80 on sale, and I consider it decent. For $120, I might look at harbor freight...

The jack stands work as expected, the creeper is garbage.
