Hey, pretty good price on the mini bolt cutter,
They really cut well. I recently installed a new transmission pan on my daughters' Chevy lumina. Pan had drain plug where magnet sat. I cut the magnet in half with cutters. Clean easy cut. Now 1/2 the magnet is on one side of drain plug and the other half on the other side.

I'll second that. These things are great to have around. I think that I snagged them for around $25 a couple years back at Sears. But I haven't seen them this cheap in awhile. Might be a good price to go for, especially if you have coupons or surprise points to use up.

I got $10 in surprise points. Am I better to use these on the Knipex bolt cutters or something else? I could use a set of the picks on sale and torx screwdrivers, but I don't know which I'd use more.

I'd recommend the Knipex bolt cutters. They cut like a hot knife through butter. Simply amazing how such a small tool can cut so well. Cuts better than my 24" regular bolt cutters.

Not sure if this has been posted:

$105.59 Craftsman 12-amp, 2-hp Fixed/Plunge Base Router with Soft Start Technology
NOT a Hot Buy

I just purchased this. I was able to use a $15 off 100 coupon from Retail Me Not, 6% CB from Ebates, 5% off for Sears card, $10 in points on $50 purchase promotion, $20 in points on 75 puchase coupon, and a 15% discounted giftcard off Ebay. Ended up being less than $50 all things considered. Reviews are good, and I could use a portable router with a plunge base.

Wow.... I didn't think that it was possible to stack things like that anymore. You deserve a gold star!

Craftsman routers seem to have all been on clearance lately. It looks like they have a new, digital model out now.

Wow, Thats a Heck of a price.
Who is the OEM on those, any Idea?

I am not so sure about the digital power tool thing.
Course, I never had one, but on something like a table saw, Radial arm saw, or Router, just seems like more to go wrong.
Now a DRO in a lathe , Mill, and the like, is a different thing.

Yeah, it was quite a feat. The last couple orders would not let me use the 5% Sears card discount unless I was actually paying with the card, but this time it was automatically deducted and went through ok. For the coupons, you can usually stack a $ off with a $ back in points.

No idea myself, but I'm sure somebody else on here will chime in. I'm usually a little leary of Cman power tools, but the ones I own have held up well to my limited use and this one has pretty solid reviews.

What's the cheapest item I can buy at Sears? I've got $10 off $25 in surprise points - tools, paint, lawn and garden. I need to round out a $24.99 purchase.

Both are the same price - I might actually use the pencil someday. Too bad there's nothing for a dime or a quarter. Can't figure out how to do a global tool search on price.

With your Sears online orders, you can get as aggressive as those extreme couponing mommies that hold up the line at grocery stores!

Lower your cost:
Dollar-off coupon (not on Hot Buys)
Sears credit card discount (minimum $0.01 charged on card)
Surprise points (some exclude coupons)
Discounted Sears/Kmart gift card (15-20% off)
Cashback portal

And earn points for future purchases:

Bonus points coupon
Website bonus points promo
SYW MAX member bonus points promo for specified department
SYW MAX 5% bonus if you choose in-store pickup

don't forget the occasional "Craftsman Club Members" discounts that pop up here and there for random stuff.

Yeah, I prefer to start stacking when there's a sale price, Craftsman Club offer, or Deal Heist.

Though, sometimes you need an item right away, and you're stuck starting off with the regular full price.

That is what I do. I make a list of things I want. Every week I check my list for items on sale. Then stack the points/coupons. If nothing is on sale, I wait until the next week. And look again. I do get a few sideways looks from the wife. When she would ask "when are you ever going to need that?" Not sure but it was pennies on the dollar.

I do something similar,, like right now I have $15 in surprise points, but if I combine it with a $15 off $100 my surprise points go to zero. I'll try a different combination over the weekend, maybe I can save myself 15 bucks, if not no big deal I will just wait on getting the stuff.

The website forces me to pick a category - "screwdrivers", "wrenches", etc.. I don't seem to be able to search above that level. Am I missing something?

Hmm. On the desktop site I just search "craftsman", then it asks me to select a main category (tools, outdoor, clothing), then it shows me all Crsftsman in that category.

If I search "tools", then it brings me to the tool category screen where I have to select a tool category

Ahhh, right you are, Spn. The key is clicking on the box in the lower right hand corner, "Discover more in this category >".

Took some old wrenches in to be warrantied and one came back discontinued and 2 were going to have to be ordered. They said they could give me store credit for the discontinued wrench so I asked if they would give me store credit for the other 2 (I didnt really want the Chinese wrenches). They said sure so i walked out with $17 in store credit for 3 old wrenches that i didnt need. Went home and with $15 in surprise points I was able to order the 3pc pro pry bar set for $23 out the door. I have needed a pry bar set for awhile so this worked out perfect.

Then click 50% off tab, nothing else is worth buying.

I usually do 30% off, as there can be some decent deals in the 35-49% off range. I then sort by price low-high, as the higher priced stuff (>$200) is tool boxes and Chinese tool sets that I'm not interested in.

The price on sears is showing 699.08 with a savings of 628.91.

How'd you get the 15 off 100 and $10 surprise points to stack? If I add the coupon, the points go away.

Ordered the mini bolt cutters, pry bar set, and the 3pc slim ratchet set for $94 after points ($11 from previous purchase and $15 off $100) and received $11 more for today's purchase.

Slowly building up a collection. Now I need some good socket sets for 1/4" and 3/8" drive.

I didn't have actual surprise points, just coupons for points back.

I tried to order another item, and I'm having a similar experience to yours. My surprise points show they are good on a "qualifying purchase" which excludes using coupons. That's probably the problem you are having.
