My jackstand collection is now up to 12. 4 of these, 4 Escos, and 4 other misc. (Torin, etc.) stands. I think that's enough for now...

I hear you. I am up to 8. 4 of them being the Craftsman.

The only thing I wish about the Craftsman Professional were that the saddles were more aggressively V or U shaped. The Craftsman's are almost flat across the top, I prefer more of a V shape to grab onto something so the car doesn't slip off.

Yikes, the Craftsman 8 Pc. XL Ratcheting Wrench Set SAE just jumped in price to $67.99. On the plus side, the new higher price is not a "Hot Buy", and it now takes coupon codes. So you might even be able to get it cheaper than the $59.99 price, depending on what coupons you have.

X2! But I thought about getting them for my son in auto tech school anyway. Might be one of those tools you can't live without after you have used it. It was that way with me and flex head ratcheting wrenches.

Wait, I have had to use an offset once. Spark plugs on a small block chevy with headers.

They are nice for doing Valves on Porsches...

Or at least one of them is

Mine are Stahlwille. Got the whole set for $25. They were in a Napa and laying on the top of the displays kinda looking unwanted.

I pointed at them and asked the guy, "Looks like someone didn't want their special order, huh?"

He said, "exactly"

I asked, "you want to get rid of them, and he replied, sure"

I said, How about $25? and the deal was done!

Is there any way to get free shipping to the store when you order from sears parts? I hate to pay more in shipping than the part costs.

Not sure about that, but PARTS17 in the coupon code will give a 15% off discount on the part itself.

Nice price, BUT!..... I have never had a "need" for these types of wrenches in all my years of 50 years of wrenching. Has anybody Really had a "need" for these offset box wrenches?

Thanks for posting this deal!

I can think of twice that I've needed these and nothing else would reach into the area. One was a turbo mounting nut on either a John Deere or Cummins (can't remember, they're both beige) and the other was the bolts that mount the alternator to the flywheel on an old Allmand light tower. When you need it and don't have it, you'll be crying. I don't like crying which is why I have both these sets and I bought the Harbor F. set since it goes down to 6mm (I needed the 8mm for the light tower).

For some reason I hear Tina Turner singing our theme song now....

EDIT: OK, just ordered both sets. For some reason though it would not give me the free shipping on orders over $49 and it came to $49.98 or something close to that. I did get $3 off in surprise points though.
That's funny, didn't think about that.
I think I used them on small block Chevy spark plugs with headers

8 pc DBE XL ratcheting metrics have been out of stock for a while, when you click that item, it goes to a "Temporarily out of Stock" page.

SAE's are still there, got them a couple days ago at $59.99.

Last night they were coming up for me as available for shipping. Now it says out of stock again.

Just put an online order in with sears. It stated free shipping on orders $49+. Fine details say get it by (2-3 days later) with expidited shipping. Turns out, during checkout free shipping takes 2 weeks, then if you do it again and choose expidite they charge you full shpping fees. Calling Sears support, I spoke with some folks with very foreign accents (very difficult english). Not only was the accent tough, the comprehension was atrocious.

They are telling me things like....
- we cannot change your shipping to expedite when items unavailable... when the items are indicated as clearly in-stock or immediately available, and
- sears is having website difficulties, and no, we cannot change your shipping selection, and,
- if you process the order again, choose expedite, but then when I do it while right on the phone with them and it doesn't provide any shipping cost break, they tell me, well you cannot choose expedite -that costs money, and

...well it was several other things, and I likely did not explain it as explicitly as needs for conveying how pathetic it really was ....and I'm already about writing a book here.

The point is, Sears online processing right now is all effed up, and you cannot get through to anyone with a brain who can understand and try to help. Its like telling someone you have a flat tire and cannot move the car, and they say, well you need to use the car key... it was a lot of that.

@#$%@%. Last time I had a problem with Sears I spoke to a dude who spoke perfect english, and he sorted my problem right out.
Rant over. Watch yourselves out there.

I had $15 surprise points that I applied. The web site gave my total as $36 and change. As soon as I clicked purchase, it showed my order as $50 and my email confirmation was the same. I called to complain and was stuck in the automated system. I finally just cancelled the order. Well I think I did.

I had a similar issue yesterday - placed an online order for store pickup (in-stock items) and headed up to the local store. Tried using the kiosk and entering my phone number like usual, but it was asking me if I wanted to return an item I bought like 3 years ago..uh what?

They had no computer record of my order that I placed about an hour earlier, but luckily the usual guy working the pickup/loading dock recognized me and asked if I still was collecting pocket screw drivers..lol. He had pulled my order a few minutes prior, but was confused as it didn't have a website order number - he just set it aside as he recognized my name (I might have a problem!)

Way to go sears.

Some good stuff in this link. Hopefully it works. The 8 pc DBE ratcheting metric set is down a little to $57.99. Some good deals on flare nut wrench sets and crowfoots.

http://www.sears.com/deals/tools-gifts-25.html#category=musthavetools&soldby=sears&start=50

So, I recently ordered the ignition wrench sets in this link. Upon receiving and inspecting sets no. 944778 and 942319, I noticed the former is missing a wrench, and latter is missing a wrench, but with doubles of a single size. Anyone have a suggestion on how to reconcile this situation? Email Sears? Try and sort it out in person at a store?

You can call this number 1800.832.7494 8-430 Mon-Fri EST. Or you could go to a store. I would think they can take care of it there.

Picked up my online order today that was Craftsman 2-drawer 26" middle toolbox that I'll put on top of the smokin' Waterloo bottom toolbox I got for $35 at Lowes around Christmas. C-Man 2 drawer middle box price was $49.99 and got $20 back in SYW after so $30 net. It's the standard duty so likely will be flimsy, but it's so cheap I'll give it a try. Got back-ordered on 3 drawer Heavy Duty 26" middle toolbox but it was $69.99 recently - - - now it's $89.99 and you get $21 SYW back.

Noticed the 20 count ratcheting GearWrench wrenches for $49.99 again. They had a slew of them in store that were all marked low $49.99 price.

I went to my local sears on Saturday morning to purchase a replacement gas cap for my weed eater. Couldn't find any, waited around for about 15 minutes before I found an employee that could help me. Finally found one and he said they don't stock them but he could order me one. Why would I get in store to order something from you when I could order it myself from my couch?

I'm so done with craftsman and sears. I feel like they'll go out of business within a few years.

Also I overheard a lady wanting to buy a lawn mower, she had 3 in mind that she liked, the employee went to check stock in the back and came back to tell her they only have 3 in Stock and none of them are the ones she was interested in. Wtf?! 3 lawn mowers in Stock?

The gas cap should just be a universal that you can even pick up at some Autozones. But, unless the employee didn't know about the arnold section there, or they were sold out....

But the mowers I believe, I know I wasn't the only one picking up a new one there Saturday morning.

Oh I believed him about them being sold out, my issue is they literally never have good stock when this time of the year comes around. Half the shelves were completely empty and unorganized which leads me to believe they've been like that for a while. I went to my local tru value and picked up a universal cap and it didn't work. I ordered a replacement online.

You might want to update your profile so people know at least what state you live in...

From the recent press releases it looks like Sears' suppliers are cutting back on inventory given to stores because Sears Holdings doesn't have the collateral. It's just a downward spiral.

My local Sears Hometown has half the store with appliances, and the other half is mostly Lawn & Garden with a section of tools. He literally has no control over inventory, Sears sends him product, they email the price tags each week... He has very little flexibility in what he wants to stock even though the Hometown stores are independently owned. But that being said, I've noticed he does have a good selection of riding mowers, push mowers, and weed eaters.

The Sears at the mall on the other hand, like you it had lots of barren shelves... Most clothes areas looked like a tornado went through there and just clearance everything. The tools section was probably half empty, and while they had a few riding mowers & push mowers they probably wouldn't sell their floor model... I don't go to that store very often, mostly because of the distance but also unless I order online & do a pickup then more than likely they won't have what I need.

If you must buy craftsman anything, I would suggest doing it online and store pickup if need be. Prices are typically better online (sans a few big sale items), and also you won't waste your time going to a store that doesn't have what you need...

I'm in Utah, Spanish fork area our only local sears is in the mall in provo and the mall itself is losing stores left and right. Pretty soon it'll be either be an outlet mall or close all together.

I'm going to have to log on at home Tapatalk isn't giving me the option of adding my location for some reason.
