Went in yesterday to pickup the DeWalt 4 tool kit from a few weeks ago.
The had a few empty spots for clearance corded drills, $12+15. Two 3/8" and two 1/2". One was a Craftsman professional. We asked employee to check stock, of course all were gone, he even took down the signs! I would have taken pictures but by time I thought of it he had taken them down.
Anyways, hopefully someone out there can find a cheap corded drill. Sorry no real details..

$22.99 today. I know this has been had for as little as 17.99 ... but it's not worth it to me to wait any longer, my crappy HF red rubber hose is leaking live a sieve and this one is a solid buy recommendation 'round here. Gonna grab it now.

Also I overheard a lady wanting to buy a lawn mower, she had 3 in mind that she liked, the employee went to check stock in the back and came back to tell her they only have 3 in Stock and none of them are the ones she was interested in. Wtf?! 3 lawn mowers in Stock?

My Sears anchors our major mall in a town of 300K.

Like I've said earlier, it feels like a funeral home now versus ten years ago when it was still thriving. Last Saturday I went to pick up an item I ordered online. While waiting in the dilapidated entrance where pickup is I looked through the doors into the store. They had around 6 bikes next to the random treadmill and air hockey table. All the bikes were fallen over in a heap. I had to laugh.

Agreed. My wife had a look around the home decor stuff and said it looked like they haven't stocked stuff in years and every shelf was messy. Really ***** it used to be such a huge staple of the Provo mall. It'll be gone in the next few years I'm sure.

Has anyone followed this Craftsman Creeper Seat for sales pricing? I'm wondering how cheap it can get.

Looks like it is made by Whiteside (USA)

I got one of those seats. I'm not sure if Whiteside makes them, but they are definitely made in China. So it is not the same as the older discontinued Black Craftsman model that was USA Whiteside. About half the Whiteside stuff is made in China now, and half made in USA. So it might be a China Whiteside. The construction seems solid, 3" casters are kind of soft and roll nice, fairly generous padding on the seat, 300 pound capacity. The seat is taller than I thought it would be, it is actually about an inch taller than a regular chair, I almost wish it was a little shorter. I also think the older Black model had a wider seat on it. The Red model seems like the seat is an inch or two skinnier. I got it for about 50 bucks out of pocket after points and surprise points. Which is about what it is worth. Good deal for $50, but no way I'd pay anywhere near the $99 retail price for it.

I almost think this new Red model is a cheapened up China version of the old Black USA model. Kind of the same comparison between an old USA Craftsman wrench and a new China Craftsman version of that same wrench. Still a good seat, but it ain't what it used to be before it went to China.

Thanks a lot for the information!

I won't be purchasing the Craftsman seat now. I'll be purchasing the Whiteside version (model HRS). And I won't be purchasing it from Sears, either.

After reading your review, it does appear that this is just a cheapened version of the real thing. The Whiteside version is rated at 480 lbs, and the Craftsman at 300. Hopefully nobody would ever need to actually test those ratings, but the 60% higher rating on the USA Whiteside suggests that it is better built.

Since this seat sits so tall, I'm now considering Whiteside's adjustable version of this seat. That one adjusts from 17" to 22". I called Whiteside and they confirmed that this is truly "Made in USA", and that even the hydraulic mechanism is American. They also sell replacement parts if needed.

Midwest snips, 2 pack. $24.99. Hot Buy, but I was still able to apply $5 in surprise points plus my earned points.

Not getting the 50% back in points to work on the "visegrip" locking Crescent wrench pair (8" and 10") for $29.99 which would be nice deal "net" for $15. I am now showing a $10 instant points, so maybe that is "person specific" and cancelling out chance to get the 50% points back ?? :dunno:

Any 19.2v cordless Craftsman guys, that light for $25.99 with 50% back in points is nice deal. I just LOVE that light and might get another.

EDIT: Damn Sears . . . if I use $10 instant .. THEN . . no 50% pts !!
. . . . . Guess they won't let me stack deals . . . ****.
. . . . . 3rd attempt: Added light and shows 50% pts until I take $10 instant, then Sears cuts back the 50% pts on light to $9.82 instead of $12.63 :eyecrazy:

Things I didn't know I needed today. I grabbed the light for 50% back, then grabbed the snips with the points for like $14 for the pair. The light should be useful as I have seemed to accumulate a number of the batteries through deals mostly on here.

call customer service and if they can pull up the "50% back in points off "on the site when you call, they'll give you the points. Note that the 50% back in points are time-limited to something like 14 days, so don't let them go to waste!

I got an email on Wednesday I believe that offered 50% back in points on any tool purchase. The max back was $25.

I placed and order and didn't get any points. I sent an email and they are manually loading the points to me account.

So dig through all of those junk emails from Sears.....

Someone posted some codes a while back that have now expired. I think maybe they are generic technician or student codes? I don't know for sure. Does anyone have new generic codes that offer similar discounts?

Are you sure? I used the 5% one yesterday, would definitely give that another try knowing the Sears website.

It looks like Knipex products are back on sears.com. 467 showing available for me.

Are they gone again? I only see 12 available from Sears even though there are many available from other retailers on sears.com

I bought a couple items online from sears a couple weeks ago using points. I decided I wanted to order another and it doesn't appear to be available from Sears now.

I just purchased some Craftsman (made in USA) hammers and mallets from Sears.

Here is a comparison of a "rip claw" hammer and a "curve claw" hammer.

It looks like the manufacturing process has changed. The one hammer has a metal insert that goes into the head, and the top part of that hammer is covered in black epoxy. The other hammer has no metal insert, and the top is bare, exposing the securing nails.

Has Sears started to cheapen their USA stuff also? I'm wondering if the one hammer I received is a production error, or if it is the new standard.

If you need smaller size tires, check out deals at Sears.

I just had 2 front tires done . . . Cooper CS3 Touring 195/65/15 that are ONLY
$54.37 each (just about 1/2 price). Great thing is they are also eligible for Surprise Points (ie instant dollar savings) along with Earned SYW Points you have built up. My total out-the-door for $89 alignment and 2 front tires installed and balanced was net of $189 after $55 in SYW points I had built up . . . . pretty great deal for nice Cooper tires !!

i still get the 5$ on 25$ kinds of deals, but ever since the 22$ on 22$, i have not gotten any of the N$ on N$ deals. i used to get those semi regularly, although it was usually 5$ on 5$, or something like that.
