It's currently $81 + $18 back in points...
Only sucky thing is only goes up to 17mm... I wish they had an 18mm instead of the 8mm...

Looks like Kmart.com has had better prices lately. 50% back in points on a lot of things. I got 3 different sizes of the wet/dry vacs last week

Surprise points seem to have dried up in the last two weeks. I've got a $6 off $30 and $50 off $399. I usually have four or five different offers at a time.

Tires are pretty incredible pricing lately. Purchase them ONLINE and schedule an appointment. Only thing I paid for was alignment and balancing/mounting. I didn't check box for new valve stems . . . . but got NEW anyway !!
Out-the-door price for 2 new front Cooper CS3 touring tires was $189 (w/ alignment) after some SYW points.
Also, check prices on DieHard batteries as some great deals there tool. I priced an AGM battery that would be NET $153 with Sears that was $285 at Interstate !!

I was looking at the Batteries and nothing jumped out at me.
Could you show what you got and the same battery at Interstate?
My best surprise points this week were $6 for a minimum $6 purchase, and $10 for a minimum $25 tool purchase.
Who knows, maybe next week you'll have good offers and I'll have nothing. That's the randomness of SYW.

FWIW, DTD runs pretty good holiday specials. Could be a different tire size, but my CS3's were around $140 for the set of four with road hazard warranty after rebates.

the metro Detroit area was one of Sears' best market places in the 60's and 70's. Their 3 large mall store were new, in growing suburbs and almost always placed in the top 10 store gross sales for the nation (yes, all 3).
Kmart #1 was literally built within 5 mile of where I live and their WHQ was in a nearby suburb.
At the moment, I could not tell you WHERE an open Kmart store exits near me when a dozen years ago there were at least 6 within a 20 minute drive of my house.
All of the big suburban mall stores are still open even though many of those malls have large "holes" from recent big retail store closures.
Eddie Lampert, CEO of Sears Holding, has been complaining that suppliers will not ship goods to his stores under typical wholesale/retail purchase agreements (net 90). Christmas/toy order need to be placed with the next 90 days. If you were a big supplier, would you accept an order from Sears one those terms ?

LOL, heck no... Why risk Sears killing your entire profit margin with returns or them not paying, when you could just as easily sell to other national chains that are doing great like Walmart, Target, Amazon...
Sears needs to get out of the clothes/electronics/furniture/small kitchen appliances business... Their prices are not competitive and everyone else sells the same exact thing... They should focus on hardware (Craftsman), lawn & garden (Craftsman), automotive (Diehard), and large appliances (Kenmore)...

Those say USA on them in the pic. I doubt Sears has any USA Crescent on the shelf. Most likely get China if you buy these.

I ordered a 2" 1/2"-drive extension with points for store pickup, plus a second item. My local store is a 'hometown' store, 20 mins away. It took about 2 weeks to get the pickup text.
I arrived and after looking 10 mins, they found the other item. It had been fedexed to them and they brought it out in a mailer (why not fedex to me?). The extension wasn't there. I tried again in a week - nada. Waited another week and still no call. Store was zero help (I suggested just giving me a similar extension off the shelf).
I finally had to call customer service (after a month). They cancelled my order and made me place another order for home shipping (came to $14, IIRC) and refunded both orders, so it was free and shipped to my house.
No wonder they're going out of business.

I would suggest picking them up within 30 days.
It seems like my local Kmart is 2 weeks, my sears on the other hand seems like they are willing to wait longer. If you know it will be a while i would try calling the store and letting them know you intend to pick it up later

30 days is the max they hold. It's company policy (for Sears Full Line Stores that is). Hometowns/Hardwares are not corporate owned, and Kmarts are well, Kmart.
Yup. Confirmed made in China. High prices as well for a lesser quality product. The teeth look really sharp and so far I haven't seen rust on any of them, but that doesn't mean **** if they're made like ****. Waiting on reviews to see how they fare (and hardness test... pretty much rub a file across the teeth and see if it bites).

Just like the other hard line tools. They kept the prices the same and hoped no one notices the quality decline. Their thinking is put flashy sale grips in place of the regular black ones. And people will still buy them for the same price and call them new and improved.

I feel like they are marketing to a certain crowd ... like friends shopping for inlaws or newleyweds who are buying things quickly and on spec and are maybe never going to be repeat customers...
Like, if it looks like a tool and says CMAN it passes some kind of social utility test as a gift widget ....
but other than that nobody actualy gives a sh!t about whether or not it works more than in a demo capacity when its being unboxxed.(don;t get me started with the reviews of tools that have 5 stars just after getting it out of the package and never once using it in the field).

As I've mentioned before, the regular prices may remain the same, but the sale prices have gotten quite a bit better. Take that 42 piece bit socket set, which is now almost always on sale for $29.99. That sale price only started coming around when the production was offshored. The USA pliers rarely had big discounts - and I imagine now we'll see them go 50% off quite regularly.
It may have come to the point where margins were so low it was either raise the prices or offshore production. After working at Sears, I know the pliers were never hot sellers and many went with the cheaper Evolv versions.
Not that I don't condone this - but I can't think of any other tool company that sells USA-made pliers with an over-the-counter warranty. The biggest buying factor for people is price, and Sears needs to compete on this front.

Went and picked all of these up today.
Had wanted the 16 and 13 for a while but couldn't justify it as I had the channellock versions already, but it seems like it was a now or never so I bit the bullet with all clearance prices.
Picked up the 16, 13, 9, 7 and like 6 other new pliers/cutters for like $90.
Also happened to find the missing 36" red handled prybar (no longer available) hiding in the back of the shelves behind the newer ones with the strike cap that happened to make its way into my cart as it was the only one I was missing.
Just used some of the freebie points they send last week to pick up the 5 piece scraper set like the pry bar for like $19 before those disappear as well.
It is criminal what has been done to Sears, but some of the values I've found the last 18 months as they keep clearancing stuff have been unworldly. Wasn't planning on having to do it all so fast, but there pricing and availability are so all over the map you have to strike while the iron is hot I guess because the stuff isn't coming back (at least in a USA version I would want in my box).

The wife keeps complaining about all the packages that keep coming in from Sears. But some of the deals are just stupid low, no wonder they are going out of business.
I have a lot more stuff out in my shop area that is already opened. This stuff is just from the last few weeks and not opened yet.
8" drill presses were 30 each. Craftsman circular saw was 12 I think. Wen barstool was 19 shipped. Got 2 6" vises for 15 each.
Seems like the last few weeks Kmart has had better deals though
