Hey gentlemen, just curious if any of you guys have an extra set of the Industrial wrenches that went on sale a while back for super cheap? I love the Jumbo set I got and would love to fill set to match them. Don’t mind you making a profit but don’t have crazy money to spend either. Fingers crossed... lol

I'm curious, I haven't tried this... But the free shipping on orders over $25... Is it $25 shipped, or can it be like $20 in store pickup and a $5 item to be shipped???

Also, is this the only CMan 1/4" Spinner Handle they have these days? I vaguely remember either one with a clear handle or the clear/red/blue like the screwdrivers?

http://www.sears.com/craftsman-6-in-spinner-handle-1-4-in-drive/p-00943393000P

Just realized I didn't have one for my 1/4" sockets the other day and it would have been very handy!

I suppose this is relatively hot, so I'll post here & the SYW thread. If you purchase something in store right now, even with an offer like the free $5, the transaction will activate a Freecash offer to spend starting 1/1/18 (good online & in-store). I got $12 spend, guy in front of me got $10.

Looks interesting. Is it really a better mouse trap after you use it for a while?

If you already got a wide tape measure like a FatMax, then I suppose the Sidewinder's biggest selling point about not tipping over won't be that useful. The other notable features are the blade auto-lock and pull-out tang.

Yeah but all the good deals die at midnight on 12/31...

Anyone try the ratchet in some of the newer tool sets?

Craftsman 42-PC SOCKET WRENCH SET

EDIT: Q&A on another page indicates they're 45-tooth.

Interesting new ratchet style... However if you want it for the allen / torx bits, I would recommend this set instead, they are longer and much more useful for getting in tighter places...

http://www.sears.com/craftsman-24pc...sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=9&blockNo=9&blockType=G9

EDIT - I just noticed I have $5 in freecash for that 42-piece set you linked... Interesting I guess they are really trying to push sales on those...

$5 FREECASH in points on Craftsman 42pc bit set

Redeem on item 009-99941, 009-34845 in store or online at Sears. Valid 12/14/17–12/24/17.

Craftsman Max Axess wrench in METRIC - these are supposed to be pretty good, made in China wrenches. Got to buy these piece by piece but the discount is pretty great imho.

http://www.sears.com/search=max axe...sTab=true&storeId=10153&levels=Tools_Wrenches

I believe you can get the SAE from Sears Outlet - there was a discussion about this maybe a month or two ago, but the metric set is not available anymore.

Sorry for not posting the link to each wrench. Sears already banned me for doing too many searches, thinking I am a robot.
I thought you were kidding about doing too many searches, the limit must be like ten searches, which is not hard to reach given their coding.

Went to my Hometown store to pick up a few things from using a bunch of FREECASH points...

While there browsing I saw he had ONE of the older model C3 hammer drills left with the side-selector (Model 39016), and I also came across the 4-1/2" 8.5A corded angle grinder (Model 24544), which I thought was more or less sold out and gone, replaced with newer models. Kid said he just put it on the shelf from the back this morning.

Anyhow, the grinder rang up $39.88 (The .88 is a markdown price so I guess they are clearancing them out). The hammer drill with battery, charger, and case was $84.88...

I was really surprised how much stuff was sold in just the past week or so since I was there last. I browsed the C3 stuff looking for anything else interesting, only thing was the 6-1/2" circular saw, but really my 5-1/2" does what I need when I use it...

I bought the set a few weeks ago. The ratchet isn't bad and not like the raised panel version. I wouldn't use it everyday though. The bits aren't bad, maybe Tekton'ish quality. Good enough for me since I only work on my cars.

Does it feel like a 45-tooth ratchet?

I thought the 75-tooth ratchets were replacing the 36-tooth raised panel versions, but then this comes along.

Just ordered a set for store pickup thanks this kit has a few items i am missing. Good price with points got it for $20.00 hard to pass up.

Let us know if it turns out to be a DeWalt hole saw.

Dang just noticed online they are giving $10 in points for every $40 spent. I filled out the form with my receipt info for missing points and we'll see if they process it.

At the regular Sears they always ask if you are a SYW member, but at the Hometown store you have to tell them... hehe.. I don't mind too much though, I like supporting my local business, he's a good guy and so are all his employees.

I noticed they have the Craftsman 15A - 9 inch Angle Grinder as a Hot Buy / Online Only price of $69.92!!! That price in itself is pretty low... I had a $15 off $40 show up recently for tools, which would bring it down to $55 PLUS you would get $10 in bonus points! $45 for a 9" angle grinder is crazy, assuming you needed one that large!

the "owner's manual" link is actually a parts list. the ratchet is not listed on sears.com separately.

here is a listing for a loose one on ebay (must be someone parting out some of those kits):

https://www.ebay.com/itm/382300775818

14$ shipped.

sears.com does not list them separately.

it sez "Z - AG" on the handle. dont remember what the codes mean. . . . .

I like the 50 buck Gearwrench SAE-metric combination set, I don't need no stinkin' reverse switch. I have a an SAE set but no metric, only need them for my "new" car, a '92 Olds, and my green and yellow lawn tractor. I'll give the metric half to my cop son-in-law, the F.O.P. card he gave me has saved me way more money than what any combination wrench set cost. :D

If you already got a wide tape measure like a FatMax, then I suppose the Sidewinder's biggest selling point about not tipping over won't be that useful. The other notable features are the blade auto-lock and pull-out tang.

It's for a handyman like the listing says.
The holding tang is nowhere near long enough.
It says plus 3 inches on the case but is that from the end or is that to the tang? If it's to the tang what do you add for inside measurements to that rounded part and tough to get it right in a corner.
The tape is thin in width to get it to turn and fit inside that case, and at 3 inches that's wide for a lousy 16 foot tape.
That holding feature would drive me nuts.

I use a 25' Fat Max now, when I started working for my old man back in the good old days I used a wood folding rule.

did anyone order the pinless SAE 9 PC 1/2" swivel impacts on blackfriday when it was under $100? http://www.sears.com/craftsman-industrial-9-piece-inch-impact-1-2-inch/p-00999664000P?rrec=true. Its now not available for shipping or pick up. My order keeps getting pushed back, it was only offered for store pick up on black Friday when it showed in stock. went to pick up a few different orders expecting them to be there since it said it would be ready by Dec 5th, not there and then it said 12/14 and never updated, went to pick up them up along with some other stuff tonight and now its showing 1/28/2018 for pick up, never updated until I pull up my orders in store for pick up. Guessing there never going to show at this point.

I saw it at that price but when i added it to my cart then it was full price so i didn't want to mess with it. I would just wait and see, sometime those items are weird.

I'm in them for I think $70 or so after points and coupons, got like $40 back in points also that I've since used to piece together the 3pc craftsman dead blow hammer set.

I ordered the craftsman slide hammer http://www.sears.com/craftsman-10-w...SellerId=Sears&prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1 at the same time as the impacts and total was under $107 for both out of pocket, impacts where 99 and slide hammer was $49. Slide hammer showed up with in a week since it gave me the option of shipping, impacts only let me choose store pick up? damn points stuff makes issues like this a pita. Only time I spent money at all this year from them was this order and the large usa industrial wrench set from sears parts. Everything else I got this year I've only used points to pay.

I picked up one of these yesterday. Worst quality I have ever seen, including harbor freight. You could hear pieces moving around in the case, and the case was bulging in the center. I popped the zip tie, opened it up, and was greeted with sockets all over the place. Everything was smudged and scratched. A couple had some kinda black **** on them. I figure they did an HD, and gave me someone’s return, so I went right upstairs to exchange for a new one. I grab a new set, open it at the counter, and it looks only slightly better than the first. I even had to switch a socket cause the bit was off 15*. I guess the first wasn’t a return after all, and that’s just the way they are. If it hadn’t cost me just $9.36, it would have gone back for a refund.

And they claim this is a $100 set. HA!! I would have been pissed if I’d paid $15. Here’s a closeup that represents the entire set. Mind you, this was the better of the 2.

I've sold a couple during garage sales for $25/$30, depending on if they haggle, knowing I can always get another for less than $30 depending on current offer. Then again, if you have anyone with a phone looking, $20 is probably a fairer resell value. The one time bad cell service is a blessing at our property :lol_hitti
