The one thing to be aware of about Craftsman Evolv products is they don't have as lenient of a warranty as regular Craftsman products - with Evolv, you need to save your receipt to get stuff replaced.
Other than that, I've heard good things about many of their products, some even getting better reviews than the recent regular-Craftsman versions.
I wonder if/how hard other retailers will enforce the receipt requirement once Sears tanks? Even before i suppose.

Has anyone bought this knee pad? Review seems ok, but the newest review is 1 year old. Not available to see at local store, so just want to be sure they have not take a turn into a lesser product. Probably overkill for my need but I am getting old, and this is the only one that will ship to my local store. I wish I could order the cheaper one.

Appreciate any comments.
RE Craftsman Evolv warranty. For me, since I am getting them using points, I am not upset if they deny my warranty request because I do not have the receipt. I just replace that broken socket, or maybe buy another set![]()
I have 2 pairs of those kneepads. Bought them around 2006. They are awesome. Mine are not branded craftsman though. Don't even know the brand. I like them enough to think about buying another set you posted here.
Thank you! I been doing some searching online, and see there are other brands that look very similar. I am guessing same pads, just different brand. Review is mostly positive. Good enough, so I put in my order. It will be ready to pick up May 31. I been needing these, and expect to use them in the summer for yard work, and tinkering with my cars. We also been thinking to install LVT flooring at home.
Keep an eye on your reward point totals after ordering. I've placed orders the past two nights and my earned points originally showed correct. I checked my order status this morning and they've taken some points away from both orders.
It also shows that I've paid with less points than when the orders were placed.
I always review the order before placing because they've burned me in the past.
They are fantastic. Probably way better than the Chinese ones under the craftsman name. I only own the USA Craftsman version so can't comment there.Anyone have experience with the Evolve impact sockets. Noticed they were made in Taiwan. The regular Craftsman impacts all made in China. My experience is Taiwan makes better tools. The big evolve set is on sale too.

I originally bought them when I had to lay about 3000 sq ft of tile.
Been using them ever since. For some reason as you get older, your knees complain about any leaning on them!

My evolv impacts have been with me since 2009 and used very frequently. Abused frequently since they were so cheap I never held back if I thought they might break like I do with my USA stuff trying not to break. Hard use on impacts, breaker bars, in a shop setting for awhile, junkyards etc. No issues at all. Receipt is long gone but a moot point. You won't be needing it.

Been stalking the 3x Breaker Bar set which has been OOS online and locally for me. Finally got a ship to home order through on them. Unsurprisingly its back out of stock for shipping. Heres to hoping they actually ship them.

Curious if these are junk or not. I'm sure somebody here has one? Price with points seems pretty good.

I realize that Sears isn't the most competent retailer with shipments, but this one had me totally frozen in confusion for a couple seconds.

I eventually noticed that the return address is actually General Tools, and the open blister pack suggests it might be a customer return that they received from Lowe's.

Let us know how well you like that digital protractor, I was eyeing it recently.![]()
It didn't turn on, and it might be due to the battery that expired 7 yrs ago.
I don't know how many previous owners this thing has passed through, so I decided to do a return and buy it again. Though, it's over $3 more now, so I'll wait for the next 10% off tools sale.
I was at a local sears and noticed something interesting (but didn't take a pic). Looking at the impact swivels, there was a Husky branded swivel on hanging from a plastic Craftsman tag. My thought is either they are from the same factory and there was a mix up, or a customer swapped the husky out for the craftsman and returned it? It appeared to be brand new.
Not off to a good start, then.Better luck next time!
It will remain a mystery whether the battery was already dead before the first owner got it (and maybe that's why he returned it), how many other places it's been since, and how many more stops it will have in its unusually well-traveled life.![]()
I have an old PC I need to throw out, and remembered the mobo has a 2032 coin cell.
So the digital protractor powered on, and I zeroed it on one end. Swung it 180 degrees to the other side and got 180.15 degrees. Tried it in reverse, but then I got 180.15 degrees on the opposite side. A close up examination reveals that the pivot point was drilled slightly higher than it needed to be.
Also, I tightened down the thumb screw, but it's still easy to move the arm.
I still got a while before my next Sears store order pickup and can return this thing, so maybe I'll get a reply from General Tools about it before then. Hopefully they have good customer service and will offer to exchange it for free.
Have $31 in points I need to use in the next 3 days. Trying to decide between these two items. Not completely sure I need that many vise grips but seems like a really good deal.

If you don't mind that much OOP, between those two, I would pick the Vise-Grip set if I were you. $196 regularly, $87 sale, and you're lucky to still be able to order it at any price - it's unavailable for shipping or pickup for me currently. Meanwhile the pair of Knipex-rebranded Cobra pliers are at their full price of $50 and don't seem to be going anywhere soon.
Also, since the deal where you get 50% of your OOP amount back in points is still going on (through this Friday), you would get back $28 in points from the 10pc Vise-Grip set purchase ($87 - $31 = $56 OOP / 2 = $28), which you then need to spend on something else within 7 days... That something else could then be the rebranded Cobras if you wanted to, which if you get that purchase in by Friday, would then give you another $11 in points back to spend on a third purchase! ($50 - $28 = $22 OOP / 2 = $11)![]()
Isn't 50% backonly once per account? Since it's you posting, your probably right though

Anyone have experience with this impact gun? Does it ever go on sale much more than this. http://www.sears.com/craftsman-c3-189-8221-heavy-duty-impact-wrench-kit/p-00945195000P Is it good quality?
Do you have access to the 50% back in points immediately after submitting an order?
I have points expiring today and would like to place 2 orders, 1 not using points to get the full 50% back and then 1 using all of my points (new and expiring ones).
