So the Masterpass $25 takes 3 days to show up as an FYI.
Thank you. I used it two days ago and was about to chat with support today to see why it's not showing up. Will give it another day then.

Nice USA filler item if your order is at least $35 for free shipping. I like that it has a hard handle style grip and has MM on one side with inch on the other. It arrived in literally a day flat and with my $8 off $40 was under $5.

So, I tried doing the in-store price adjustment on my Evolv nutdriver set today. Just like the last time I tried this kind of thing a few months ago, I ended up leaving without the adjustment. :( Last time the supposed reason it wouldn't work was that I had used a coupon on the original purchase. This time I hadn't used any coupons, so I'd thought it was worth trying again, but this time the supposed reason it wouldn't work was that I had used freecash surprise points. So unless you pay entirely with 'earned' regular points and/or real money, it doesn't work for in-store purchases, even though an identical online transaction would be able to be price-adjusted by the chat people. sigh

I did see they had flyers out saying there will be a 10% off friends & family day this Sat Jul 21.

And for the first time, my online order pickup took longer than 5 minutes, so at least I got one of those coupons.

Nice find. There's no reviews on Sears.com, but a couple hundred on Amazon under another of the manufacturer's aliases. Very positive overall.

I had no idea you could get deals on Wera and Knipex at Sears, haha.

You guys make this an art form!

Oh yeah! I do not have Wera yet, but have about 15 pieces of different Knipex in my toolbox, plus a few that I gave away to friends to a favor or two in return

Ah, Sears gonna Sears...

Got several of my orders in today. UPS delivered two that were supposed to be surepost, I guess since they were already coming with another ground package... Anyhow, one of the packages was supposed to be TWO ratchets...

Only one was in the package! Argh... I look at the packing slip, and someone took a pen and marked the qty out and wrote "0" next to the missing one. Well that's great and all but apparently Sears thought he shipped it because they were both under that tracking #...

So now I'm chatting and they are doing the thing with loading points & sending me out a "free" replacement...

This is getting a little tiresome like literally one ever three orders they screw up...

lol, 'nice'. The Sears inventory/order system definitely does not keep track of hand-written alterations to their printouts. ;)

I'm still wondering how it could be on the shipping receipt. Don't they have to scan an item when pulling them for an order?

Or maybe the system "thought" they had one (or more) left in inventory but he couldn't find it, and rather than do who knows what to remove it from the shipping order he figured just pass the buck to the consumer (me) to have to contact Sears and get them to fix it... *rolleyes*...

The chat guy said, "As a gesture of goodwill, I will go ahead and load a coupon for your future purchase. It will be saved in your profile and it will reflect on your next eligible purchase while placing the order." But I don't see any freecash offers? Or any new coupons in the deal center? :( That happened to me last time too when I had to chat with support about a shipping screw up...

I have got that pretty regularly at the ends of chats. Never once did I notice any new coupons. I told one rep that, and he said it took 24 hours to load, again nothing 24 hours later.

They *used* to, I remember when I would get a bunch, but now that they seem to be stingy with those freecash deals I rarely have any in my account... Usually just the occasional $10 off $100...

Same here too. Never a coupon or offer when the chat reps say they're giving me one. :dunno: Oh well.

Last time I chatted they promised me some coupons also. Must be on their lunch list when talking to customers.

Picked up an order this week that was placed in May and I verified what was on the order. It included a 3/8 extension that I did not order.

Somewhere out there, someone is cursing Sears for not sending their 3/8" extension.

On one of my first shipped orders from Sears, I got a nice Craftsman 1/2" ratcheting wrench. USA made. That free wrench had come in so handy over the years, and has been the only 'extra' tool I've ever got from them, and luckily haven't been shorted yet

Family and friends for 2 days, extra 10% off.

Sears is notorious for giving you multiple items when you pick up. They put an extra ping pong table in my truck when I picked up a washing machine. I had to convince them to take it back out of my truck. When my parents went to pick something else up, they tried to give them the same washing machine... TWICE.

On another note, I have a missing item (imagine that) and I was on chat last night. After being asked to wait, and waiting forever (I took a shower, seriously...) I was told to call the shipper and given an invalid tracking number.

I wish Sears would have held off on the F&F event until my wallet recovered from Prime Day. Oh well, I can still get some price protections done.

As for getting extra stuff you didn't order, it seems to balance out the missing stuff and refund battles. Whether those extra items are actually useful to you is another matter.

Hmmm...a lot of online sale prices that have been around for many months have finally ended in the tool section.

Here's a new sale price, but it might be difficult to find a USA set at this point.

Craftsman 6 pc. Roll Pin Punch Set $12.99

spin_prod_1071619412

Better jump at this if you can. Not available for me..

$7.99 :shocking:

EDIT: If you have bought stuffs, check their prices. I just went thru my purchases, and see that some of them are cheaper now. Time for price adjustment :)

And now down to $7.19 with F&F 10% off.

Man, dropped another $4.30! That's crazy... In a few days I bet they will bump it back up to $99 like usual...

All my other items were the same price (or within a few cents)... I noticed they changed one ratchet that was normal price to a "great price" even though the price didn't change...

Trying to do some price matching here, but having trouble accessing chat. Just comes up as a blank page. Tried multiple browsers. Anyone else have that problem? Thanks.

On the price matching front, has anyone else noticed that when they credit the points to your SYW they have a 1 year expiration?

I think its overwhelmed....I had that issue for a bit, then it loaded with a 27 minute wait for queue position number 1...About a minute later I was connected. In the past I've also noticed that I have a tendency to have had my browser open for days at a time, without closing all the windows are reopening it. Chrome can get flaky if its waiting on a relaunch to finish applying updates.

Hexen, thanks for the reminder on the price matching, It got me $48 in SYW points.

Craftsman 48 pc. SAE & Metric Thread Restorer Kit $38.69, which is as low as I can recall seeing it.

spin_prod_209728401

Was yours made in the USA? I bought a tap & die set before, but then upon someones suggestion I would be better off with a thread restoration kit. I think I will jump on this either way, but USA made takes away any hesitation.

I wish the slickdeals coupon for 5 off 35 tools worked on the 3/4" drive ratchet.

Now that it's automatically showing up, do you know if you have to spend $25+ OOP, or can you spend like $5 and get the $25 back in points?

Some people are reporting on other websites that they spent something like 50 cents, and still got the masterpass points.

I might put in a 99 cent keychain screwdriver or Carpenters pencil, and pay with masterpass. Then wait a couple weeks. If I don't get points, I'll just return the screwdriver.

There is a banner, or should be, on the Sears home page, just under 'Top Sellers' for me. The fine print just says "Offer Valid thru 7/31/18. Only valid for a single member ID transaction. Points expire 14 days once received."

Does the single member ID refer to the masterpass or Sears account?
