yeah, i bought 4 pairs of jeans for $42 and got the $15 and the $25 for masterpass, so 4 pairs of jeans for $2 something and $40 in points to use.

had to go over $35 for free shipping so the $40 was a nice price point.

You still spent $42, so you didn't get all that for $2.

Any items that are on good discount right now? Seems since that last sale ended most things really jumped up in price... Looking to spend the usual $35-$40.... (I currently have ~$33 in points)...

So I was browsing the "Automotive Speciality" section, and came across this vacuum marked down to less than $10...

https://www.sears.com/wet-dry-auto-vacuum/p-SPM10464189308

Then I noticed the "Spend $40 get $15 back in points"??? I click to read the fine print and it says, "Get $15 Cashback in points when you spend $40 on clothing."

LOL... Don't know how they mis-categorized a 12v vacuum... lol...

I just bought that vacuum and it's an absolute piece of garbage! I'm surprised, since Sharper Image is usually decent stuff.

Showing $22.65 For me. From , KESO Supply, With Free Shipping!:shocking:

Not disappointing though, As Poe34 Stated
"it's an absolute piece of garbage":mad::(:spit:
Thanks Poe34, As I would have still probably jumped om it @ $22.65.

Yeah the Sears one went out of stock shortly after I posted it, and it looks like they removed Sears as a seller entirely now...

There are Craftsman branded small vacuums you can get shipped, some are better than others but there are plenty of reviews to go by...

Small battery-powered vacuums tend to **** ( ;) ), in my experience - they don't have enough sucking power and the battery doesn't last long. If at all possible to deal with a cord, it's worth it for a vacuum, IMO.
(Edit: Oh, the previously-discussed one was 12V, just a different kind of cord. Some 12V ones are okay. I used to have a USB-charged battery-powered one, which was pretty useless.)

I am in the same boat. I have $30 in points. Probably going to get Knipex if I can’t find anything.

If you don't already have the Gearwrench flex head combination wrench sets, they're still on sale at Advance Auto Parts for 34.99, and Sears should price match.

Sears price matched AAP for me on the Gearwrench 3/8 flex socket set when it was 19.99.

Went to buy a pair of hoses for a washer... apparently sears doesn't ship them without expert installation (Delivery fee of $69.99) and mandatory scheduling of a service call. The only way to get them not installed is to pickup in store. May affect all appliance accessories? unsure.

On another note between the promo for 125 back for 125 and 300 for 300, I'm getting $35 a month in points every month. Might be the time to start a Knipex collection.

Really good deal on Wera: 7 piece insulated interchangeable blade screwdriver set. $36.99. $57 on amazon

https://www.sears.com/wera-kraftfor...sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=6&blockNo=6&blockType=G6

It's a great set. I added some extra blades off Zoro, which helped hit a coupon minimum. The set is pretty regularly under $40 in Sears, but I noticed a few Wera products no longer available for me to Sears over the last week. I bought the 12 piece stainless screwdriver set 2ish weeks ago, and no longer there.

So a while back there was a huge cluster-F with one of my orders where they didn't ship one ratchet, manually marking it off the packing slip... I talked to CS and they re-ordered it for me (at no additional charge) so no big deal.

So then like a week later I get an email that the store processed the ratchet they didn't send as a "return" and credited me my points (and supposedly a couple bucks on my CC). I never saw the CC credit and totally forgot about it...

Today I got a check in the mail from Sears for $2.24.... LMAO!

I poked around the display units when they were first set up in the store, but I think they were the 72" models.

You'd figure the 3,000 lb workbench would be more sturdy, but it was noticeably wobbly compared to this 1,500 lb workbench. :headscrat

:lol_hitti Once you get a couple thousand pounds sitting on top of it, I bet that wobble would clear right up! (Either that or it collapses. ;) )

(The same employees who have to run around the store doing a bunch of other stuff with ever-decreasing hours/people have to do the display assembly too, so they probably just didn't do it quite right.)

I thought when a seller return the payment that was in done in credit card, it has to go back to credit card (ie it can go be returned as points or gift card).

I wonder how many of these checks that Sears sent that is not cashed (missing, forgotten, etc). That is money in Sears's pocket.

Sears has been doing squirrely things with refund processing for a while now. And what they do is inconsistent and/or keeps changing.

Uncashed checks issued by businesses are eventually supposed to go to a state unclaimed property department, but the business could have the money for several years until it reaches that point, and it would probably not get sent to the state if the business declares bankruptcy before it's been long enough.

Seriously! I've had orders cancelled and they instantly refunded the CC charge and my points... I've had this fiasco with the check and having to contact CS to get my points back... I've had times where it took 10 days for my points to show up. I've also had times where they refunded the whole amount in points (instead of the partial CC refund)...

No rhyme or reason, no standardized process as far as I can tell...

PayPal returns always have issues.

Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

I haven't messed with Paypal with Sears... I know Paypal is supposed to offer extra guarantees of some sort when you use it to buy stuff from a business that accepts Paypal. If Sears orders are eligible, at least that could be a fallback plan when Sears screws up a Paypal purchase? (But only after more rounds of contacting 2 companies instead of 1, I'm sure... and like chargebacks, would probably mean you'd better be fed up enough with Sears to quit entirely.)

What they say and what they do seem to rarely match. Sears gonna Sears.

If it was me, and they do not follow their own rules, I would definitely point that out and ask for refund in the same form as the original method of payment.

For most of us, since we buy using points often, it is probably not an issue. But if you do not buy often, or do not have Sears locally, and they give you a refund in points, it will not get used and expire without you knowing it.

I am willing to bet if the customer service do something different than their own policy and you point it out, they will back off from whatever BS they are telling you. That is why I really like chatting with them. I have a written record. If something does not get resolved, and I want to escalate it, the prove who say what when is right there. And I think the CS knows that whatever they type is recorded. Maybe I am lucky, but I never have problem (mostly price match for me) that Sears CS do not resolve to my satisfaction.

1/2" flex head ratchet for 19.99
https://www.sears.com/craftsman-1-2-in-drive-flex-head-quick-release/p-00944816000P

Low tooth count, made in China, but useful if you need leverage, and cheap or free if you need something to spend points on.

I think during the last F&F event they had it at $16.99 or even lower... I remember the 3/8" one was at like $10 (and I'm shooting myself in the foot for not getting it, but there is always next time).

Still a good price at $20, I use mine a lot.

1/4" pinless impact universal joint adapter 7.99
https://www.sears.com/craftsman-pinless-impact-universal-joint-socket-adapter-1-4/p-00912376000P

This is the same as the Gearwrench 84180 (11.24 on Amazon), just stamped Craftsman.

Shows out of stock for me. Would definitely order one for myself at that price. Is it available for anyone's zip?

Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using The Garage Journal mobile app

It was available this morning for me but out of stock now. I don’t have enough points so I didn’t order it.

It's now in the dreaded "Temporarily unavailable" status, meaning (AFAIK) it is unorderable nationwide, rather than just out of stock in some areas.

The 3-piece set (the 1/4" one and the 3/8" and 1/2" versions) is still available (~$47 sale, $50 regularly): https://www.sears.com/craftsman-3pc-pinless-impact-universal-joint-adapter-set/p-010W006106734001P

Not so hot of a deal compared to the 1/4" one alone, but the 3/8" one alone is $38, and the 1/2" one alone is $48! It would be crazy to buy those individually at those prices, instead of the set, but they are also both still available:

I purchased the 3/8” and 1/2” from Sunex on an Amazon lightning deal for $6 each earlier this year. No way would I spend any kind of sears money on those.
