Well well well, every time we think it's gone for good, it pops back in again!

https://www.sears.com/craftsman-2.5-in-hose-pinch-off-tool/p-00947060000P
$19.99 sale, $29.99 regularly (ship to home or store)

Probably won't even last a whole day before going out of stock again, from recent trends.

Too bad the two smaller siblings seem to have been gone much longer without returning in Craftsman versions.
Didn't last three hours, missed them again. Haha
Edit I see it was closer to nine hours, still the middle of the night for most though.

Grip on Hands Free kit is down to $75.96

I am getting an offer for $25.75 in points back on this, but not sure whether you are would get that. Might be worth a look if you are in the need for some locking pliers.

https://www.sears.com/grip-on-hands...sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=3&blockNo=3&blockType=G3

Several products show getting $25 back on a $50 tool purchase. The only details I've seen on the offer are on the product page, when you click the "cashback in points" under the price.

Members get $25 CASHBACK in points when you spend $50 or more on a qualifying Tools purchase at Sears. Points awarded next day and valid for 7 days. Max $25 in points per member. ONLINE ONLY Valid through August 18, 2018 11:59 PM CDT

There is a banner saying they are the leading retailer for craftsman tools now. It may be the $25 bip on $50 is craftsman tools.

The points are lump sum, awarded 24 hrs after purchase. Not a bad deal if you have something you are willing to pay oop for.

Give it a week or two, so far every vendor eventually pops back up once sears pays their outstanding invoice.

Gorilla dump carts have left, and haven't come back yet. The only models available are what in store at Sears or Kmart. I do hope you are right.

I did notice Bully tools are available again though. What strange hoe or shovel can I pick up now? :headscrat

Tell me about it, so far I've got all 5 trench shovels, a cavex hoe, a 4 and 8 inch field hoe, the shrub rakes, the thatching rake, a warren hoe, the big post hole digger, the stone rake, the fork cultivator and I just ordered the Pro Shingle Remover #91110. I've had really good luck getting chat support to price match to amazon, still applying a coupon and then paying only in points. They've been my go to item the last little bit when I've got to burn points. I've got pretty much all the Knipex I want that Sears carries, and Bully Tools are built to survive the apocalypse. The way they are shipped to the store it's ridiculous (single layer of cardboard over the head of the tool, grey plastic wrap on handle with a UPS label) that not a single one has arrive damaged.

They often do price differentials like this (larger set being cheaper than smaller set, despite the larger set containing the exact same things as the smaller set plus more). We discussed several other examples of this a week or two ago; one I remember since I own it is the 20pc drive tool accessory set vs the smaller drive tool accessory sets. I don't think they're intentionally 'trying to get rid of' one or the other, and the larger one doesn't necessarily contain older or inferior versions of anything. It just seems to happen sometimes. Generally any-size set is cheaper than buying its components individually, when they are available individually, too. Think of it as a bulk discount, I guess.

That is fantastic. :D I'm going to have to try this with Kmart chat soon, hopefully it will work equally well as with Sears (it's the same outsourced team behind both chats). The vast majority of what I've bought has been Craftsman, which doesn't have lower prices on Amazon because it's all resellers there, but there's probably been a few other non-Craftsman orders I should have tried this on. Someone here also recently mentioned getting Sears chat to price-match Home Depot's website on the Capri Tools sets, and I think someone on SD has gotten chat to match Walmart's site too.

I've got a few $5 for >5min pickups, as the store has no idea what they are looking for because of the packaging. No USA mud shovel? Most complaints are of blades not coming sharpened, which if you are going to use these tools that much, you should have the tools to maintain them.

I asked about price matching a Gearwrench ratcheting wrench to HD, and they were going to do it. I didn't go through with it, but might be time to with the talk of possible SYW program changes.

I've been able to get them to match Wal-Mart, Home-Depot, Lowes, Southerlands, Amazon, Ace Hardware, and Advance Auto. Pretty much the standard dealing with chat support rule applies, if you don't get the desired result, disconnect and try again.

I've seen a lot of strange pricing on the website over the years. Another example would be the regular full price of an item being listed as higher on the site than at store. Personally, I think it's just a result of incompetence.

FYI, the 3 pc set was down to $38.69 online last month.

Damn, you are good.

I stopped trying to match Amazon, because all the agents I've dealt with in the past knew that Amazon is an internet-only retailer.

+1 on this for brick and mortar stores (but like Doohickey, not Amazon).

I only had one item that was a 100% legitimate price match refused multiple times, probably due to the large price difference ($156 Sears, $19.99 Advance Auto). This included chat agents making up lies to justify the refusal. "They're selling knock-offs."

Success was on try 5, after 3 weeks.

I've also had immediate success with a price match that I expected to be refused (limited quantity, clearance item at Menard's). So it doesn't hurt to ask.

Wow, you've done this a lot. Good to know.

A few times someone has found something cheaper on the Sears Hometown website than on Sears.com (which could actually help with Craftsman products, but it's been pretty rare that they're cheaper, I think). If they'll match all those other companies, I'd be surprised if they wouldn't match Hometown too.

What item did Sears over inflate the cost of that much?

I've gotten repeatedly denied the Hometown Price match. Again they just make up reasons for not honoring the price. I then ask where in the price match policy it excludes Hometown-"it just does." Eventually I got one to give me the match but it took forever. Even then I had to pay upfront and they refunded me the difference 15 mins later. Took a week to show up refunded on the bank statement, caveat emptor.

This is the sort of thing you just have to deal with shopping somewhere that isn't really a real company anymore. You can't get ahold of an American in a position of authority to complain. Can't even find anyone in this country that still works there in corporate with a working phone.

Most companies I run into an issue like this, I just go on LinkedIn finding out names and titles and email, call, message, whatever anyone and everyone I can find in position of authority. One time I got literally transferred right into a conference call with several product managers/VPs and while amazed a customer got that high up the food chain, handled things on the retail level really quickly for me. It's sort of like being on undercover boss. My favorite is calling corporate employees BEFORE going into the retail store, then when sub boss, and store boss tries to deny me, I've got a direct line to corporate on speed dial for maximum egg on face effect.

I actually got a $15 off $75 in an email that notified me of delivery.
Been a while since I got one and I almost deleted the email.

I've only gotten it to work when its shipped and sold by amazon.

I'll argue the logic of it: I'm having to order and have shipped the item from you, same as if it was amazon, and amazon would actually delivery it faster for free. You don't carry it in your brick and mortar stores, its online to online, apples to apples. I really want to give you my business, I want sears to stay open, and continue to employ my fellow Americans, but I'm not willing to pay more to do that.

It's the Jerry McGuire "Help me, Help You!" of price matching.

I also have the next lowest price I can find in a brick and mortar store, to show that its really just a little more than they'd be matching anyway. I'm even willing to take the difference in points. Most of the agents are allowed to do anything under $5 in points without supervisor involvement.

$10 off $10+ clothing coupon, must use in-store only, expires Aug 30, via retailmenot: https://instore.thread.co/retailmenot/sears.com/offer/VGU53K664ZCZRMGWHLVQO5T2SE

Thanks. Grabbed the Pink Floyd shirt I had been eyeing that was never available in my size for pickup, but had several in stock. All the signage indicated it was $10.49, but of course rang up $9.99. Had to buy some $1 chapstick to get over $10, which I'm sort of surprised it qualified.

I know there are some legalities to an employee raising a price of an item, but when a customer has been shopping based off their signs to only have it ring something else, I really think they could make the adjustment. So many times I've shopped trying to hit a certain threshold, to only come up short because of mis-marked merchandise.

Yeah, if your store still has working price-check scanners scattered around the store, that can help prevent surprises at the register. I think the only one still working in my store is in the clothing department. But one time when I was using the price scanner, on some clothing, I still got surprised - I had like 3 different colors of the same brand/style of shirt off the same table. I scanned one of them and assumed all 3 were the same. Nope, turned out one color was on clearance... for a higher price than the dang sale price.

(Also, I heard this clothing coupon - which is no longer available if you didn't generate and save/print it yesterday, btw - does not work on clearance items.)

Wow. Classic Sears. :wtf: Here we are all pleasantly surprised at all these other companies they'll match... then this closely-related company is off-limits.

Another note about the clothing coupon, someone on SD just posted

"I think to use this coupon you need to be a shopyourway rewards member. When I was in store trying to use this coupon for a $10 item , after the cashier entered coupon number it asked for phone number, I gave my sons phone number which doesn't have SYWR account. But it didn't take off the discount , then I gave my phone number associated with SYWR number and then it took off the discount as multicredit."

So much for my little plan - I'd thought this coupon not being linked to my SYW account meant it would be an opportunity to try the 'make a purchase without using your account' thing to try to get some coupons to generate, since I rarely shop in the clothing department so the cashiers there wouldn't be as familiar with the fact that I have an account. Oh well.

Update: Used the coupon today in-store on a $12.99 shirt. It worked fine, since I used my account (though of course now there's some more discussion on SD indicating it might not actually be needed, just confused cashiers, sigh), but no new coupons/offers printed, as usual.

Stopped in a store today and made a 50+ purchase using my SYW account and received zero coupons. I then immediately made a purchase for a buck, and didn't use my SYW account, got 4 coupons.
