I've been able to get them to match Wal-Mart, Home-Depot, Lowes, Southerlands, Amazon, Ace Hardware, and Advance Auto. Pretty much the standard dealing with chat support rule applies, if you don't get the desired result, disconnect and try again.

Price matched to HD on the Gearwrench 1-1/4" ratcheting wrench ($48.98 -> $25.46), that didn't have free shipping, but they waived that as well. I was trying toget to $35 or $40, to use the $5/$35 coupon, but had issues finding things the rep was also able to select fpr me to buy. I was going to PM some Espoma Bone Meal 24 lbs, but he only saw it available from 3rd parties. I told him I was going to just call it a night, and he offered to PM & waive shipping

This was on top of the $6 off $6 not appearing in my account, though I did receive the email (and played the game & clicked offer), so that was manually added to the account after ordering

Ratchets are the same, the prices & availability of the two different sets really bounces around. Just a casualty of Sears pricing games.... Both those sets will drop much lower if they happen to be available during some of the holiday sales.

Oh cool, I don't know how long after you can get away with doing it, but I hadn't even known you could do it after-the-fact at all. The Kmart item I was thinking about trying to price-match to another retailer dropped back down to less than $1 difference (had been $4 difference), so I no longer felt like bothering with placing the order through chat for that amount of savings, but I'll try asking for them to just give me back the points difference immediately after ordering.

Yea, I'm down to 2 stores within my work and play area. I can ride the crazy train a little longer. I'm looking forward to the liquidation that is starting at the Lakeline mall location, it was my main store, and its not shocking that its closing. It has been a ghost town for years, and the demographics in that area do not shop Sears.

I've got every socket, and I've wiped out all the USA made cold chisels and punches. I'm also stocked up on putty knives/scrapers, and have a few lifetimes worth of box cutter/knife blades.

Aww.... we go thru Cincinnati every couple of months or so, and store no 12 is my go to place for picking up stuffs that I can not get at the hometown store. I was always worried for that store. It feels like ghost town every time I stopped by.

I really hope that they will lower the free shipping back to $25 to make it easier to order online.

You know maybe I should walk around the rest of the store. I didn't even think about the store having kids stuff instock. I got a little focused on tools and garden since it's right next to merchandise pickup.

Their lowest sale price is usually like $19.99 I think, might have dropped a little lower once or twice, but $24 is still pretty darn good. Next time I have enough points and they are on sale I'll probably buy another pair.

Store #30 from list above is the first one in the Wash DC metro area I believe. Local Kmarts have been leaving on a regular basis though.

Metro Detroit was a "stronghold" for Sears from the late 60s through the 80s. They routinely would have 2 or 3 stores in the top 10 for sale (my Dad was middle management at one of them). I have not been inside a Sears store in about a year.

#30 is my closest store.

Walked around the store a bit tonight and they are fully stocked like there is no intention of closing and either the staff was playing dumb or they really have no clue cause I asked a couple different people when everything in the store was going on the "store closing sale" and none of them seemed to know what I was talking about. I'll be heading back at the end of next week so see what kind of deals they are having and then probably at least once a week thereafter just to see whats available.

Got 14 in points expiring end of month from that 100% cash back battery deal a few months ago and can't find anything exciting, was going to get that 12 ton jack but its already back up to $26 and I don't really need it. Jack stands tempting but I have 2 sets of 4 tons and a set of 6 ton already. Tons of flashlights too, hope something good shows up soon in the next 7 days!
