FWIW, that must be store dependent, as I can still select my local Sears store that is closing, and have recently picked up orders there, even though they are in the liquidation phase.

The really odd part, though, is that the other local store that closed maybe a year ago and is an empty vacant room now, still shows as a pickup location. However, the website won't let you order anything for pickup there, it gives an error when you try to check out.

It's definitely supposed to be taken offline (no new pickup orders, though still able to pick up older ones) when liquidation begins. You've got some kind of weird fluke going on in your area with multiple stores... maybe regional manager slacking off on pressing the right buttons when a store closes?

What area are you in, if you don't mind saying?

I ordered the Johnson one because it was cheaper. I received my delivery yesterday and they sent me the red craftsman one. Thought that was odd, was not expecting that. I have no idea if it was a mixup or if the particular warehouse mine came out of ran out of the johnson ones and they just substituted it without mentioning anything to me or what. No idea if they do that with other people's order, just thought i'd mention it.

I ordered the Johnson one about a week ago for pickup at Sears. Got what I ordered, although I’d have been ok with either one.

I would pick one up, but I absolutely detest the enviro friendly cans. Never had one that didnt break/stop working after a year. A plain Jane pour spout is preferred. It seems most cans are "environmentally" friendly now.

Change the spout and put a vent on the can...... Tractor Supply sells the spout kit.

^^^what was the price on it? im kicking myself for not buying the 67-pc thread restorer kit this summer when it was down to under $35, but couldnt get it shipped local, just to a place i go hiking a few hours away. almost pulled the trigger but didnt

and also right now they have a buy 75 get 30 back in points deal going on in store only.

i had no idea until i went to pick up a CM cabinet id ordered the other day and they brought out the one id canceled a few weeks ago (posted in thread earlier). i told them that wasnt the right one but that id take if off their hands wink wink nudge nudge and they of course said no.

so i asked to speak to the manager and told her if she gave me a deal on it id take it home since they were literally about to mark it down for liquidation. she said nothing but took me to the register and tried to ring it up full price. told her what id paid, tried to get a deal out of her but she basically ignored me while still ringing me up. came up to a few dollars more than what i paid. almost didnt do it but i figured it was still on my shopping list so whatever, i bought it. next morning i saw an extra $30 in my account and had to look up my points to figure out why.

so i guess buying it worked out cheaper in the end.

And a bit of good deal news: Another F&F, now being called "Member Days", is coming soon! https://www.sears.com/en_us/dap/family-friends.html
10% off in-store on Sun Sep 23, and online on Sun & Mon.
Time for price protection!

Here's the full terms for the 10% off that starts tomorrow...

" Member Day savings valid in store on Sunday, September 23, 2018 and online Sunday, September 23, 2018 through Monday, September 24 and at Sears, Sears Grand, Sears Essentials and Sears Parts & Repair Centers where permitted by law. Other certain stores to have the savings valid on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Member Day savings are NOT valid at Sears store locations in Puerto Rico. Offers apply to regular and sale prices.

Excludes Consumer Electronics, Toys, Best Member Deals, WOW items, introductory offers, Insane Deals, Deal Flash, Everyday Great Price items, clearance and closeout items except where indicated in store or online, Ebuys, Lands’ End®, Levi’s®, JanSport®, DeWalt, Special Value Watches, Work Shoes and Work Boots, Chiswick, Chelsfield, Camberwell, Cavell, East Channel, Harlington, Harrowby, Isleworth, Kenney, Romford, Beautyrest Black, Sealy Conform Performance (High Spirits, Fondness and Thrilled), Sealy Conform Premium (Gratifying and Wondrous), Serta iComfort, Serta iComfort Memory Foam, Serta iComfort Hybrid, Sealy Hybrid, Simmons Beautysleep, Tempur-Pedic, Tempur-Flex, Protect-A-Bed, SleepTracker, Mantua bed frames and adjustable bases: Beautyrest Smart Motions, Sealy Ease, Serta Motion (Essential, Custom and Perfect), and Tempur-Pedic Tempur (Up, Ergo Plus and Premier), Serta iComfort Pillows, TempurPedic Tempur Pillows, Shark, floor care accessories, countertop microwave ovens, sewing machines, heaters, water heaters, water softeners, water filtration, air conditioners, air cleaners, fans, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, appliance special orders, appliance accessories, As Seen on TV products, DieHard 360 vehicle assessment, DieHard Edge maintenance plans, generators, Laufenn tires, certain Sears licensed partners and websites, specialty tools, Ray-Ban, Oakley, contact lenses, digital services, catalog orders, gift cards, money orders, wire transfers, commercial orders or previous purchases. In the event of a return, savings will be deducted from refund. "

Of course we know it doesn't actually exclude "previous purchases", that's the point of their price protection policy. ;)

And apparently the bit about "Other certain stores to have the savings valid on Saturday, September 22, 2018." is because somewhere in the country, there are a few Sears stores that aren't allowed to be open on Sundays.

I have this set... definitely makes removing panels, clips, etc. a lot easier.

Craftsman 3PC BODY CLIP REMOVAL SET - $22.06

https://www.sears.com/craftsman-3pc-body-clip-removal-set/p-00949277000P

Yeah, I put that on my list a few weeks ago... at first I was about to buy one of those 3 tools that's sold separately, but then I saw the other two in that set aren't available separately, so I'm holding off till the whole set works out. I don't have an urgent need for it, and don't know what kind of clips might need pulling in the future. ;)

So You guys like The C/M G/W tap tool?
I have ~ $26.00 worth of free points to burn by the 3rd of October......
Might as well pick it up.:headscrat:thumbup::thumbup:
But it's between that tap tool, and the Craftsman 3PC BODY CLIP REMOVAL SET - $22.06

Whichever you decide on, wait till tomorrow, when the price should hopefully drop another 10% on both. :)

I love it. It's so much better/easier to tap. When you finally need it you'll be happier you bought this than the clip-pliers.

If you're off put by the dual handle you can use the 3/8" drive Craftsman pass-thru ratchet as well. I picked up one after getting this tap tool as a matter of "just in case." I know at some point I will find myself without enough room to swing the dual handle ratchet that comes with this set.

Historically do the prices drop or increase for the F&F events From the previous week?

Or is a hit or miss?

Thanks

Most items decrease an additional 10% from the recent sale prices as expected. But I have occasionally seen a few items have their prices raised in the final hours of the night before, just enough so that the 10% off drops them back to the same price they were before. I don't personally recall noticing any that weren't at least break-even like that (raised no more than 10% before the 10% off kicks in), but that doesn't mean it's never happened. Odds are pretty good that it's worth waiting.

Thanks. I have enough to make the $50 cash back deal and upping it to $60+ to use a $10 off $50 coupon I received last week when I picked up an order.

On the payment screen, you don't have the Redeem Points button?

I was about to buy one yesterday, but the lack of ball-bearing slides and high shipping fee made me reconsider. I saw the $75 bonus points offer today, but don't wish to get involved in "installment" points anymore.

I closed the page.
So No ball-bearing slides?
I might just pass, and wait to try and luck out on something nice, but reasonable on CL or Facebook.
Thank You!
