DAMN!!! I just purchased this set at the "higher price" yesterday and it is sitting at my local store waiting to be picked up.

If ordered online on sears.com, you can chat with them to get price protection - points back for the difference when you spot a lower price on sears.com within 30 days!

I'm about to do that for my Knipex 5" Pliers Wrench, now $39.79 down from $44.21 (regular price), and my 24" Craftsman level, down to $13.77 from $15.30 (regular price $20.99)!

Also, reminder that if you have any coupons or freecash surprise points offers right now, the 10% off is generally not combinable in-store with coupons/offers, since the F&F ('Member Days' now) 10% off is automatically applied like a coupon at the register.

Online, the 10% is applied as a up-front price reduction just like any other sale, so you can use coupons/offers with it.

If you get an experienced employee willing to work around this in-store, it is possible, but it's not the way it normally works, and the experienced employees I used to do this with a few times are gone now, so I'm planning to just order online.

Got the $$ back via chat that from the price drops. Got those 4-ton jacks and the 24" level basically due to the money back and the $9 for 9

Definitely best deal i've seen on 4-tons.. especially if you can get it for free from the Win It points

For those ordering the 4-ton jack stands, I have purchased 2 sets of them the past month and can tell you these are the old "craftsman professional" line, which is why they are black and yellow. I am quite happy with them and they are probably clearing these out, so if you buy them, they may not be available again, so buuy 2 sets

If anyone is looking at making a big purchase in appliances, lawn/garden (including mowers, sheds, generators), or exercise machines, here's another 12-installments deal. Don't count on getting through all 12 months at this point with the tenuous future of Sears, but if you're buying something you need at a reasonable price before the points-back, the months you do get will be a nice bonus.

" Spend $400+, get $400 CASHBACK in points. Points issued in 12 installments. Members get $400 CASHBACK in points total over 12 Months when you spend $400 or more on qualifying Major Home Appliances, Sporting Goods, Outdoor Living and Lawn & Garden items at select Sears stores and Sears.com. Points issued in 12 equal monthly installments of $33.33 each are only valid for 30 days of issuance. Offer Valid 9/23/18 through 10/6/18. First month's points credited to account 24 hours after transaction and valid for 30 days. Subsequent 11 months points issued on the 18th of each month starting 11/18. Points valid for 30 days. Maximum $400 in points total per Member. See Details. Offer not valid with any other offer. Purchase requirement before taxes and after other discounts and must be made in a single transaction. "

Standard requirements for deals like this: Your order must be above the minimum required OOP (out-of-pocket) total after all points / freecash surprise points offers / coupons have been subtracted, and before any sales tax or shipping fees have been added.

Thanks for posting the ratcheting tap wrench. I can’t remebrr when this tool went below 89.99. If you get the ratcheting tap wrench use the 5 off 35 to reduce the price. Sure GW has a version, but I like personally like seeing craftsman on the handle.

On the 4-ton jack stands, which picture is correct for them? The first picture shows big flat stock surrounding the bottoms of the feet, to prevent the feet from digging in. The other two pictures show a much smaller triangle flat just on the inside of the feet.

Are the actual jack stands like the first picture or the other two?

What is the consensus here? Will the ship stay afloat until December? I am sitting on $50 worth of points - was hoping to see what kind of end of year sale they may have, but if that looks risky, I may just buy whatever right now, probably another Knipex

Today's news is definitely not good news to have. I am kinda getting nervous they may declare bankruptcy and we all lose our points.

Friendly reminder, if you have not done price protection, I believe today is the end of member days extra 10% off. I am getting $5 back

My GUESS would be you are safe to the end of the year. That said friends and family is about as good as the sales get on the Knipex stuff.

Yeah, letting Eddie buy Kenmore or one of the other things he's been wanting to buy would stave off the October problem, but apparently the board has been dragging their feet on that for months.

I wonder what it would cost someone like Lowes or Home Depot to buy the Kenmore name? Far too financially prohibitive maybe?

It's a gamble, but I would guess they will make it through the holidays. If you have $50 in points, check out the Wera offerings. This 1/2 ratchet is a great deal at $70:

That is awesome trophy tool material! Wish the 3/8" came down to at least the $70 level, or Sears carried the kit that includes it that goes for around the same price ($110) at other retailers

I've had my eye on the 3/8 for years.... it never seems to drop, but the 1/2 model goes up and down all the time. These are the types of tool that I would never pay my own money for--great opportunities for points usage.

Apparently the delay has been because they're trying to get offers from other potential buyers to make sure they don't give Eddie too good of a deal, but if they haven't gotten any better offers (or maybe even any other offers at all) by now, it's time.

I'm betting they make it through the holidays. I did the "Buy $200, Get $200 Freecash over 6 months" deal... figuring that only the Feb installment is really at risk (since I'll get the Jan installment right around when they report holiday sales).

I have passed on the deals that spread points back over 12 months, though...

Under 7 hours left for the Members Days event.

Just ordered the GJ favorite, Craftsman 3PC BODY CLIP REMOVAL SET.

I'm torn... I was going to go with that, but then I realized I have enough points now to order a 6" Pliers Wrench if I get the chat reps to price-match Amazon, where it's at its lowest price in a long time right now (and has been for nearly a month now, according to camelcamelcamel, but no idea how much longer it will stay down). I got the 5" a few weeks ago, and a second size so close isn't the most versatile choice, but the other varieties Sears sells aren't at a suitable price right now (at Sears or Amazon). :headscrat

and I have a $10 off $40 coupon. I might have to get one now.

Hey PM me your address, I'll send you out the 1 piece clip tool free or charge. I bought it not realizing that to get the other two I had to buy the whole kit.

edit (I took to long to hit post....15 minutes too long)And FYI Home Depot has it for the same price as amazon, should be a much easier price match.

Me too! I think I ordered this a while back but asked to cancel it since it kept getting delayed. It is cheaper now so I can not complain

....annnd I get the one chat rep who thinks they can't price-match to Amazon. It is the same price at Home Depot right now too. https://www.homedepot.com/p/KNIPEX-...rench-with-Nickel-Plating-86-03-150/100665826

Did you manage to get the price match successfully? I need to keep this in mind. I ended up getting Knipex 9" High leverage combination pliers since I already own the 5" and 10" plier wrench. Maybe next time around I will get the 6".

Took a whopping 40 minutes with this rep, but in the end it got done with no OOP. :)

some do thinks lickity split, the others find their reading glasses on their head after looking for them every where else, then proceed to re-read policies & fine print before unnecessarily telling you no.

I recently PMed these sweet Knipex 85deg offset flush nippers to HD $ $53.99 (figured easier than using Amazon at the same price). Wish I had them in my more frequent cabling days.

Yes, my 6" Pliers Wrench deal worked out in the end. :) It sounded like she had figured out some unspecified way to convince herself to do the Amazon match despite thinking she was only supposed to match companies that have physical stores [which of course Amazon is starting to have now too, and Home Depot doesn't sell these in-store, but I wasn't going to try to get into all that, lol], but I went ahead and shared the Home Depot link with her once I found it, and that seemed to make her more willing to help work out the multiple other complications. Several people have reported successful Amazon price-matches in the past, but if Home Depot, Lowes, or Walmart have the same price or close to it, that's looking like more of a sure thing from now on.

I purchased the $44.99 Craftsman Knipex set today along with the body clip pliers and a punch holder for the spend $75 get $25/25/25. I have another $25 hitting from the August promo on 9/30. I’ll be on the lookout for some Knipex or something.

With the way Sears is going I’m glad I didn’t go in on one of the 12 month payout promos.
