I also emailed them, thinking I could be on hold a while, and received a super fast, yet sad, email. It flat out said they will not be supplying Sears with more tools, once they declared bankruptcy.
...

Aw. If they stick to that, sounds like no more Knipex for me unless I win a Home Depot gift card elsewhere, or enough Amazon GCs that I don't need them for other stuff more.

Just has my pair of Knipex Cobra 7" comfort grip get cancelled. Ordered Friday. Boo

edit: Had another Knipex ordered cancelled. That was done last night. If I had to guess. I don't think Knipex is at the top of the list to get paid, & are getting out now. Damn

I bought 15 knipex items Thursday 11pm, thankfully every single one went in transit Friday morning and got here today.

did anyone receive Item# 00945561000P | Model# SHSM121438 6 pc socket tray / holder - it was posted about 3 weeks ago? out of stock now. I'd it shipped to nearby Sears dept store and have received email that it's "Your order is on the way to our store" on 10/9. But tracking number was NOT included in that email. Not receiving ready for pickup email, and the original ETA having passed, I went to the store and my item isn't shown in the list (with other items that were available for pickup from a different order). Sounds like someone or some store was supposed to ship it but dropped the ball. This had happened before when a store in NH was supposed to ship the Dewalt 204 mechanics set (heavy) which never came ruining my Christmas!

My store is in the list to be liquidated. They just downsized from 2 floor to 1 - what a waste of effort and $$ had they known this was coming.

Get on sears.com chat. They should be able to find you the tracking number if it exists, find out which store should have shipped it, and/or give you a refund in points.

Congratulations, what lucky timing, and so many!

Well I figured it was best to wipe out my points hoard... The moment on Thursday when they announced that they'd retained a law firm that specializes in bankruptcy, I figured any small vendor was pulling out. Been through a few jobs with failing companies and is always the small high end specially vendors that get screwed the worst if they stick around.

I did order enough of them to stock a friends store for a little Christmas promotion......

At that price, and using points and retail me not discount code to drop the price another $1.80, he and I can both make a good profit on them, AND provide a very nice discounted Christmas sale item. Plus, I got a $75 in points back on the deal that I bought cobalt drill bit sets and Irwin bar clamps with last week.

Coincidentally, or not, after I placed my order, they went out of stock.

Did you get them? I stopped by to pick up several orders from my "points dump" at a Sears that's on today's closing list... and asked about the toolboxes since they were supposed to be in on Friday.

They said they didn't receive anything on Friday... and not to hold my breath they'd be on the next delivery truck, either.

Yeah, I'm seeing that any points I still receive going forward, will likely be spent in liquidation store on consumables like sandpaper, sanding belts, buffing wheels, and wire wheels. I did go to the store today to use up the last of my 5off5 apology coupons.

Were you able to have them shipped from the hw store or did you have to do store pickup?

Sorry for the late reply... I picked them up in-store... but they were available for shipping, too.

The metric set I got from Sears Hardware was USA made. The SAE I picked up from a 'regular' Sears today was made in China (and thicker/wider than the USA-made set).

Not Knipex quality, but you might want to check out the Channellock Cable Cutters:

https://www.sears.com/channellock-9...sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=4&blockNo=4&blockType=G4

I have them and they are really nice.

totally different applications unfortunately. one is for wire rope, just a small cutting spot at the tip of the pliers. that Channellock cable cutter will actually be pain to use, at least for wire-rope cutting, as I won several of that style. They are usally used more for cutting copper and aluminum.

LOL I haven't got FreeCash in months. Even tho I buy every other week or so.

Oh and those Ignition wrenches are always Made in USA. Even if you order ones from ebay, they are Made in USA. Not sure if there is only one manufacture of the small wrenches but i have yet to find the Craftsman ones anywhere that are NOT made in the USA

-The Great

Unfortunately, the SAE set I picked up today were made in China.

I have the Greenlee version of that, bought in-store a while back.

Also not what he's looking for, but something for other people to keep in mind looking for in-store-available stuff to buy. They still had a decent stock of Greenlee stuff at my store yesterday.

Wow... nice! Good timing!

Any chance you have the 7-1/4" cable rope cutter, and really don't need it?
I'm sort of at a loss of what to order now. :headscrat

This one seems to be nice and heavy duty. I only used mine a few times, and no idea how it compare to Knipex.

EDIT: I see Hexen posted about the same Greenlee. Sorry for double-post!

Dang, I spent $17.99 (all points/offers) on that in August! Good to know at least some chat agents are still willing to PM to Amazon, after some recent issues with that.

"one time exception." funny how i see that on every chat I have. They don't do a good job of keeping track of all those exceptions. :)

I did end up with +$20 points because of my cancelled Knipex order. They matched the price right after I ordered it, and those stayed when the cancelled. :bounce:

Edit: Flexzilla is no longer fufulling orders. They stopped last week (so not the reason my last whip was cancelled). She said things may change, but doubtful. Only item I've seen left in store from them is the 50' 3/8" air reel.

Edit #2. Add Wera to the list. I can't think of any other non-Sears vendor that I want anything from.

To those of you that ordered the $5.99 toolbox. That vendor is not shipping the orders, according to sears chat support. I got refunded on all of the units I ordered instantly.

Felco garden tools are gone.

Bully Tools. At this time they are not fulfilling Sears orders.

Just remembered them for USA tools. Was going to order a 6" box shovel, but I guess not. I might have to look at that bench grinder someone posted the other day.

Oh and no I don't have a spare 7.5" Rope Cutter. I have the 6" unit and its okay but only goes upto 1/8" rope and doesn't crimp. I wish I'd thought to order the bigger one.

All the retailers I called, said I could buy from other retailers & were usually cheaper. Oh, if they only knew. I just said I had lots of gift card / credit to Sears, and Sears usually matched the same price. Not like I'm going to convince them to jump back in, but I did tell them I preferred ordering from Sears

Cleaned my hometown out of bottle wrenches, thanks for posting that deal. Used up the last of my points/$10 coupon. They had almost a dozen USA ones, I grabbed them all so a pretty good score.

They said they aren't going anywhere and gave me a flyer describing the difference between a hometown and a normal Sears.

I hope points continue. They owe me $25 on Saturday, and another $130 by next May. If at least the $25 ones come through I'll be happy. The $10/month ones probably won't outlast the store.

Just called Knipex. They are cancelled all orders since Friday at least.

That could change, the bankruptcy court has the authority to order them to deliver.

It's amazing to me the power bankruptcy courts have. The one that always seemed odd to me is pulling back checks and payments for up to six months prior to the filing.

This prevents people from paying off friends and getting money out of the business when they know the ship is about to go down.

And now... back to the deals!!!

I've never seen the highly-rated utility cart priced lower than this:

Craftsman 2-Shelf Heavy-Duty Utility Cart - $67.66

https://www.sears.com/craftsman-34-1-2inch-2-shelf-heavy-duty-plastic/p-00959732000P

And, since it's not a Hot Buy, coupons work (I used the Craftsman Club $10 off $50)... plus, it'll ship for free.

Good way to use points until they restock (I hope) on the Knipex, Wera, etc.

Not a matter of them restocking those items, but if the Vendor wants to do business with Sears. Aside from a few select few in-store Knipex items, they all come direct from the manufacturer.

Thanks for the cart idea. Available at a Sears nearby & Hometown I go by.

anyone having problems logging in to Sears? SYW is fine, and usually if I log in there it keeps me logged into Sears, but not in the last half hour.

FWIW, according to showyourway.com, the lowest is $71.99, so this is great deal

The haven’t been able to log into Sears on my phone for about 10 days.

SYW and desktop sign in is ok. Last order I placed via the SYW website did not generate any coupons for future purchases.
