Wow what a stupid move! Not surprised by anything sears does though.
Better off getting the c3 model as those batteries will be around forever.

Wait... are they the same as bolt on/black and decker batteries at least?

I'm not sure, but probably not. Try reading through the comments there.

Went to sears to use 2nd $15off15, and was told I could not use it as it is a scam. The cashier (claimed she's the store manager) said this is the order from the corporate and it was a computer glitch. Not sure it is only this store or for all the stores. I argued a little bit but do not want to waste time on this so just left. I guess too many people received this coupon the sears cannot take it.

I was at local hometown store and saw the new 3 pry bar set. Made in India. $21 iirc. As you can see it does not have the metal cap where you can hit it with hammer. Not sure if this was ever mentioned here?

Just make sure if you buying pry bar set, you getting the US made set. If you do not have one, you should get the US made one before it disappears.

I saw the new India set today in store, it reminded of the Playskool tools I had...really cheap feeling. My wife even noted the same thing and she is not a tool connoisseur :D

Oh gosh, may the end come soon. That is nauseating.

And that's not the only one... I found the lawn/garden rapid digger mattock to have changed to India recently too. :headshake

That's a stick up that one particular manager's behind, possibly the regional manager above them too, but definitely not nationwide. I had no problem using my third/last $15 this evening, and the customer in front of me used one too with no problem. The grumpy manager who gave me a hard time about price-matching last week was running a register nearby at the same counter while we did this, so that cashier sure wouldn't have been letting these through if the manager had a problem with it.

Here's my sweet in-store deal combo... All of these prices are in-store-only sales valid until the end of this week, 12/1. I had the $15 coupon and $2.18 of points. I found 4 items that added up to $17.16! :bounce:

$3.99 sale, ~$5.99 regularly (available in-store only, no sold-by-Sears listing online that I could find, here's one of the third-party sellers)
Picquic Teeny Turner
https://www.sears.com/picquic-tool-company-inc-teeny-turner-assorted-colors/p-SPM7876504017
(inspect carefully if you buy one of these, some don't have all 7 unique bits, due to people messing with them)

$4.09 sale, $8.99 regularly (I've never seen this below $8)
Craftsman 3pc Finger Bit Screwdriver Set
https://www.sears.com/craftsman-3-pc-screwdriver-set-finger-bit/p-00941390000P
(still made in USA!) (these come in several different color combos - I picked red/blue/silver, others were red/blue/green and red/blue/yellow)

$6.79 sale, $14.99 regularly (I've never seen this below $9-$10, until it recently got down to $7.80 online)
Craftsman 24-in-1 Auto-Loading Screwdriver
http://www.sears.com/cm-24in1-screwdriver/p-00945033000P
(this gets surprisingly good reviews so I'd had it on my get-eventually list)

$2.29 sale, $4.99 regularly (I've never seen this below $4)
Craftsman 4oz Cutting Fluid
http://www.sears.com/craftsman-4-oz-general-purpose-cutting-fluid/p-00952329000P
(still made in USA!)

One of the cashiers said their was "an error," with the coupon when they were sent out, but it seemed like two different parties in front of me were trying to use coupons already redeemed & he was just giving typical retail excuses.
I had no problems using different coupons, but had to do it with different cashiers, as they said one per customer. The new tool cashier girl recognized me (I might have to go back & get her #, "some of my best friends didn't know my name"), and didn't have an issue with 2, as well as doing a PM to an 'Online Only" price! :shocking: She said she didn't care if it let her do it, but it required a mgr over-ride. Then she saw the mgr over-ride card was left on her register. I didn't see that one coming :)

Scored the adjustable T-Square for the $13.80 plus some over-priced staples to hit $15. I already had enough $1 flavored chapsticks :bounce: Now hoping the Hometown Store has a USA made to swap for, only negative of the deal.

Nice, you really lucked out on that price-match, the manager probably would have shut you down if the approval card hadn't been left laying around like that. :D No price-matching till a week after Thanksgiving is what I've come to expect.

Anyone tried a ship to store from the kiosks for a store that is closing?

If you're bothering to go in-store and deal with a kiosk, might as well do ship-to-home (free with no minimum at kiosks). It should continue working the same as non-closing stores' kiosks until the final day they close the doors. There were a few complaints on SD recently about issues with kiosk orders mysteriously getting cancelled (the affected people were then able to re-order through online support chat with the shipping fee waived after explaining what happened), having nothing to do with store closure status as far as we know... there's not a lot of people using the kiosks to order, so haven't heard enough data points to know if the issue has been resolved yet or not.

Thanks for the confirmation. I will may try to have a chat first tomorrow to see if they will resolve this issue. I got the manager's name (I asked her specifically to write down her name). But the way, this is not a full-blown store; it is a hardware and appliance store.

I grabbed one of these to take advantage of the spend $25 get $25

https://www.sears.com/craftsman-canopy-27-in-red/p-A031323149#

Ordered in store for free shipping. Huge downside having to wait in line to pay, on the biggest shopping weekend of the year, took forever. I plan on making it a storage cabinet for all my chargers/power tools, sitting on a shelf (the cabinet has no floor).

Looks nice I picked up 2 for a similar purpose after your post. Here is a photo I found of the inside.

Oh, I'm pretty sure Sears Hardware/Appliance are all franchises like Sears Hometown, not a corporate-owned store. :( The franchise locations rarely accept coupons issued by corporate Sears, as several people near franchise stores have talked about recently. But that has nothing to do with this particular coupon, it's a blanket policy of them not getting reimbursed by corporate Sears for coupons (they do get reimbursed for using points, though, IIRC), and they shouldn't have called these legitimate coupons a "scam" or a "glitch" and been so unpleasant because you didn't understand their confusing company structure.

That is not bad for the price. Will you let us know how do you like that? Pretty decent quality? I notice "Added on November 21, 2018" so this must be new. I did not see this at the local hometown store and at the corporate store over weekend.

I saw the older version of this 26" box (all black instead of red and black) at the local store for $200 - I think that is a decent deal? I am thinking picking it up, and would work nice to pair it with the canopy.

Yeah for that price plus points back it's kinda a who cares sorta deal. Plus they listed it weighs over 40 lbs. Can't be bad at all if it weighs that much. If it's truly from the new line it should be better than what they used to sell thickness of metal wise.

I'll report a verdict when it shows up.

Either way I know I can get my $25 back on OfferUp if I don't like it. People will buy anything Craftsman on there for even more than Sears typically.

Thanks for additional insights. I did use the coupon on my wife's account on 11/21, and they did not have problem accepting it, and was even told that on Sunday more than 25 peoples had used it. I guess at one point they just stopped accepting it and call it scam.

I'm surprised so many people had difficulty with the $15 coupon. I used the first one on 2 of these, and made in USA: https://www.sears.com/craftsman-fin...SellerId=Sears&prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1 *Bet these are all made in USA
The second one I used at a Hometown store, who took my printed coupon and manually entered my discount, (I knew my coupon would still be valid again) on these, marked down to $19.99: https://www.shopyourway.com/irwin-clamp-set-6-piece-minis-spring-handis/444551234
Back to Sears again yesterday with a friend to use the same unused coupon and we both grabbed a 2.5 shop vac, after they agreed to price match the online price. Then I used a coupon immediately after that a friend sent to me, same register, same cashier, on this cordless LED light: https://www.sears.com/craftsman-cor...sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=2&blockNo=2&blockType=G2. A pretty awesome haul, without any pushback from any cashiers.
Thanks all who posted up deals!!!

The price is right, but I'm not sure how well it would hold tools or other items. thanks jjcook for the inside picture - I looked but couldn't find one.

I searched and found it by model number on some bulk auction site (without craftsman badging).

I'm still on the fence about how to integrate these into my WIP shop but thought I would give it a try; should be good to keep the saw dust off and not have to leave cabinet doors open when otherwise in use (assuming the vertical blockage is less obtrusive).

FYI here (maybe this is clear for everyone but it was not for me).
- 100% cashback is one time only, max of $25 in points in 1 installment (which I know)
- I ordered a few things, including the canopy $24.99 and socket $2.8 on the same order (same order number) so I can get free shipping at $59.

Canopy (thank you @jjcook @timoboy)
https://www.sears.com/craftsman-canopy-27-in-red/p-A031323149#

Socket (thank you @tjpavlov)
https://www.sears.com/craftsman-10m...SellerId=Sears&prdNo=2&blockNo=2&blockType=G2

I swear before I click order, I see I will be getting my $25 cashback. But once I place the order, I see that I only get $2.8.

I just finished chatting with CS. I was told it was only one time only per member, and in my case, that one time only was applied to my $2.8 socket (which was the cheapest item in my order)...wtf

CS was nice enough to manually add $25 worth of points into my account, so it is all good at the end.

imo kinda crazy logic to apply cashback to the cheapest item from the same order, but we are talking about Sears...

Did you mean to type 1 weekly installment? I can't (okay maybe I can) see them them splitting the $25 into 10 payments. Maybe you are crossing the $250 back terms with $25 back terms.

Might get a couple shovels on this deal while they are ~$12

:wtf: That can't be how that was supposed to work. One time, sure, but that means one ORDER, not one item within a multi-item order in which all items are 'sold by Sears'. Sears is constantly innovating in new ways to screw things up and confuse/frustrate customers. ;)

Yep, that's the standard fine print, transaction = order, should've worked on all items in the same order. :dunno:

I made an order of four flex sockets--all around $9 each. The receipt says that I am getting $25 back. I don't think that these points post until next Monday though.

Hrm. It could be something squirrely just with that brand-new tool canopy product listing, then.
