And I finally asked about wtf happened to my SharkSaw that was supposed to arrive 2 weeks ago... alas, it does show up as cancelled on their end despite not saying so anywhere visible to the customer. Nothing more they would do.

That's lame. I order 3 different saws 2 shark, 1 of Tekgumi(SP?) and I just picked them all up today, they shipped from the vendor to the store for pickup in 3 days since being ordered.

Yeah, plenty of people who ordered around the same time and after me seem to be getting theirs just fine, I was just unlucky somehow. :dunno: I'll try again if I ever get enough points at the same time again.

I'm just hoping the games last through the 10th, that's my last large payout of points, $100 in points, then $10 on the 15th, then if it shuts down all I'm out is 5 monthly installments of $10.

The pickings are getting really slim, I've wiped my only local store out of 21pc Drill bit sets in Titanium and Cobolt, all the Norton sandpaper, most of the buffing and wire wheels.

Oh come on, Sears... I decided what I wanted to buy, and it's not letting me complete the transaction. Just keeps looping back to the cart.

Update: I couldn't complete the transaction after several tries so I tried getting chat to help. They couldn't order it either, some kind of glitch with that one item, but wasted so much time figuring that out that the sale expired. Now I'll have to buy something else with today's expiring points at a higher price.

For the future, did you try shop your way over sears, syw was always a smoother checkout for me.

Didn't help, there was something wrong with this item's setup (the extra-long pickup tool). Sears had it in inventory as orderable for store delivery by Dec 13, when they really didn't want anyone to order it at all until Dec 20, apparently. :dunno:

They should just send the item for free for your headache here. I am assuming we are talking about some cheap item, not like a $1000.

Glitch and problems in the software/website happens all the time. It is just how the company treat the unhappy customer that would make or break the business.

I agree. It was a $12 item. Unfortunately not only could they not do that in this situation, they couldn't even guarantee to match the price if it's more expensive in a few weeks when it supposedly might actually be orderable again. sigh

So then I tried asking the guy about my hammer that didn't show up on time for store pickup yesterday. After a long delay, he was able to find more specific information about its status than what is available in the customer-facing systems. It apparently DID arrive at my store yesterday, but it was so badly damaged that they refused to check it in. And the warehouse doesn't have any more to re-ship. But in this case, the chat guy was able to reorder at no charge to me (now to be shipped to my home from one of the stores 50+ miles away that still has a few in stock).

The good news is, in the process of him doing that, it had the side effect of converting my $10 offer that was going to expire today, into $10 of regular points that don't expire any time soon. So now I can wait till I hopefully receive another offer next week to buy something else.

But this whole process, dealing with both orders, took 2 hours when I should have been getting more sleep. Fun! ;)

I was able to get the $10 points back to appear. Based on a bit of trial and error, it appears that (1) have to have minimum of $10 of merchandise (before tax/shipping) in your cart that is not Hot Buy, etc.; (2) can have additional items in cart that are Hot Buy, etc.; and (3) can use points and/or Freecash, so long as you still pay a minimum of $10 out of pocket (before tax/shipping).

Of course, Sears being Sears, YMMV. I suggest clicking the “Review Order” button at the bottom of the page, then take a screenshot before clicking “Place Order Now.”

When the $10 points should be credit? I placed the order last night and saw $10 point before placing the order. Now the order is ready for pickup but I still do not see $10 in my account.

For an item that was already at the store, you have to pick it up to get the points-back activated. For items that are being shipped to the store, they're giving the points immediately.

FYI, I just picked up my order from a couple of days ago and I got my $10. They are expiring in 2 days though (as others have noted).

Picked up my items. Didn't get my $10, had to try 4 different chat agents before one gave me my points. On the bright side, long expiration time.

Thanks. I will have time to go next week. The close by hardware store does not qualify for this promotion.

has anyone tried to place an order within the last few hours that had the $10 points back showing in their cart or confirmation email? (re: the $10 cashback for a $10 OOP purchase with in-store pickup promotion)

I've tried several different items on my and my wifes accounts on the sears website and nothing is getting the $10 cashback to show in my cart. I am trying to figure out if the promotion is over or is it targeted or is it not valid on specific items? any info is appreciated...thanks

I have 3 orders for ship to store from last week and they are all still processing. Granted the expected arrival date is 12/5+ but still...

I used the points from all 3 last night so it will they better not cancel any of them. Usually they ship stuff out right away so this is strange. My order from last night is ship to home and they sent it out today already.

Is their a place on Sears' website that shows all the deals, or do you have to hunt?

You have to hunt.

Supposed to be working till Dec 11, IIRC, according to the fine print I pasted yesterday. It is only one use per person, though. If you did not already place an eligible order, then it may be either broken or shut down early now.

If the date passes with no updates, once you get sufficiently concerned to want to bother, you can ask the chat reps to check the real status of your item(s). I learned this morning that they can see information about outstanding orders that is different/more useful than what we can see, though it seems to take them a while to look it up.

That page is well-known. (It is the very first link in the header that appears at the top of every non-checkout page on Sears.com, after all.) It only shows the things Sears wants to market as "Hot Deals". Only a small portion of deals we post have appeared there, and only a small portion of what appears there is worth posting about. I noticed this shovel appearing on that page despite not being on sale at all right now, for example. ;) When you see something there at a low enough price that you think other people here would be interested, feel free to share if it hasn't already been shared recently. :)

I ordered six items in three orders on 11/18. All were supposed to arrive at the store by 11/26... it's now Dec 1 and they're still showing as "processing." None of the totally screaming deal stuff that had a good chance of being cancelled. Not really sure what's going on with Sears on these orders...

Some of these orders had items already available in stores and I did already get those on the day or two following the orders. At this time I'm a bit suspicious of Sears on anything that has to be shipped to store...

Well, I did eventually get the 19" box sent from Quebec, so if you want to try your luck with this one:

International 26" Steel Handbox - Blue $10.99 ($9.89 with code thankyou)

Ship-to-store, or free S&H for $59+ orders.

Get 100% CASHBACK in points up to $30 at Sears.com
<small>Offer Valid 12/01/2018 through 12/07/2018. Points credit to account next day after transaction and expire on 12/25. Max $30 in points and 1 time per member. Excludes Lands' End. Items must be sold by Sears. Purchase requirement before taxes and after other discounts and must be made in a single transaction. By accepting Shop Your Way member benefits and offers, you agree to the Shop Your Way terms and conditions, available at www.shopyourway.com/terms. Members earn points on qualifying purchases, excluding sales taxes and other fees. Extra points are inclusive of, and not in addition to, any base points earned on qualifying purchases. When extra point offers are combined, total points earned will be less than the combined point totals for each individual offer.

My experience last month for getting bonus points from other offers (and all requirements in fine print are met):
1) Store pickup for in-stock item: Points credited after picking up order.
2) Shipping: Required the order to actually ship out (at least a UPS label created) for the points to be credited.

I don't play the "buy this get bonus points" game. However, this morning Sears is offering me $30 bonus points on a $33 item I had in my cart.

How do I know when/how the points will be delivered? In don't want $3 in points for the next 10 months.

Details on the points back says: "Bonus Points Offer: Promotional points members earn on top of base points. Bonus points are valid for 7 to 365 days after purchase date. Exclusions and limitations apply."

Can I believe it?

Scroll up 5 posts or so and you'll see that Doohickey posted the terms of the offer, most relevant:

Offer Valid 12/01/2018 through 12/07/2018. Points credit to account next day after transaction and expire on 12/25. Max $30 in points and 1 time per member.

Hey guys, I just stopped in my local sears store and picked up quite a few orders. I waited for over half an hour and was told that "the bins are messed up." On the bright side, I received 10 of the $5 off coupons. I went inside and bought a few things, found some USA made air chisels for $17.99 (https://www.sears.com/craftsman-4-p...SellerId=Sears&prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1) and a USA made 48" level. I asked for the "thank you" code for an extra 10% off, but just got home and looked at my receipt, and I wasn't given 10% off anything I purchased! Does anyone know, does the $5 off "sorry" coupon not allow any other discount? It don't see any restrictions on the coupon.

In store purchases allow one coupon code to be entered. I’m not sure if any of the cashiers can get around it. That especially hurts when it’s a 10% event also.

Don’t think your the only one. After the Thanksgiving weekend very reduced prices I was there over 1.5 hours. All orders entered as complete yet I ended up pulling stock Off the shelf . Still missing not in stock items.

Updated fine print for the $10 back on $10 OOP pickup offer, it now runs through the end of the year (still once per person), but it apparently does NOT stack with the 100% back on up to $30 OOP offer now running this week.

"Spend $10, get $10 CASHBACK in points when you buy online, pick up in store. Valid 11/28 -12/31/18. Points expire 48 hours after pick up. Limit one per member. Offer not valid with any other offer. Product must be available for purchase online and marked as available for in store pickup. PS: Kmart is also doing 100% back on up to $25 OOP this week.

When you have some time, try asking the chat reps to find out the real order status, like I was talking about in the last couple pages. They have access to more meaningful order status info than we do. And if the status looks bad enough, they can cancel the first order and reorder at no additional charge for shipping to your home.

Note that the cancel system might be a bit screwed up recently, I see my order history doesn't actually say cancelled on the order I recently had to do this with, and neither does Mrvm's. I also had an order about a month ago (the infamous saw) that was cancelled in the more-accurate system the chat reps see, but still doesn't say cancelled on the Sears/SYW websites. I guess some databases aren't quite talking to each other anymore. It seems that if what the chat reps see says 'cancelled', then it really is cancelled and won't ever be coming, regardless of what you can see yourself.
