I was just in sears earlier today using the $5. Free cash on a couple of 1-1/4" Extension Wands for the thanksgiving $3 Craftman Shop vac deal. I paid less than $2 for the two extension wands after 15% off and $5 free cash.

Now I have to go spend $10 from the text deal. What should I get?

The car cleaning kit for the same vac is nice if you don't already have that. Or the extra-long pin punch set I posted earlier today, if your store has any (it's about 50/50 in-stock/OOS in my area).

This is the car vac set: https://www.sears.com/craftsman-5-pc-car-cleaning-kit/p-00916994000P

And this is the punch set:

I bought this with my $10 coupon...

$26.99 regularly, $14.99 sale (12/15-12/24) without the 15% off, $12.74 with the 15% off if you're buying online or not using an in-store coupon

Craftsman 6pc Extra-Long Pin Punch Set
http://www.sears.com/craftsman-6-pc-punch-set-extra-long/p-00943169000P [product photo is wrong] :
- 5/32" X 7-1/2" pin punch (extra-long size not sold separately)
- 3/16" X 7-1/2" pin punch (extra-long size not sold separately)
- 7/32" X 7-1/2" pin punch (extra-long size not sold separately)
- 1/4" X 7-1/2" pin punch (extra-long size not sold separately)
- 5/16" X 7-1/2" pin punch (extra-long size not sold separately)
- 3/8" X 7-1/2" pin punch (extra-long size not sold separately)

The product page shows a smaller punch set, by mistake. (It's been like that for years.) This is what this set really looks like:

US-made sets ran out months ago in most stores, but the Chinese ones look decent too.

I used my $7 tonight with no issues.

Update: The $7 worked fine for me tonight too. Now let's see if the second one I received from a friend will still be usable on my same account tomorrow or not, there were a couple comments on SD earlier today saying they had issues in that situation, unlike a couple weeks ago.

I bought a Picquic Dash 7 screwdriver, $7.99 (no 15% off with the coupon). Any of the three Picquic models that Sears carries, BTW, you sooo do not want to order online. People have messed around with the bits since they aren't sealed in packaging. I spent like 20 minutes swapping bits back and forth between the last two they had in stock to be able to buy one complete set with the 7 different bits it's supposed to have.

Anyone know what the online hometown store closing discount tops off at? It's all sitting at 40% off now, anyone know if it goes lower online right before the store closes or if I should pull the trigger now? Never really saw tool stuff in normal closing sears go below 40%, they just let it sit at that number until everything was sold to rubes that don't know about online sales.
Store by me is at 45% off, but they jacked up the prices to begin with. I was looking at the 70 pint dehumidifier and it's supposed to be $249, but they jacked the price up to $280 then took 45% off. I'm going to check tomorrow to see what the price is

If you're talking about https://www.sears.com/kenmore-70-pint-dehumidifier/p-04255570000P , that's actually a fair starting price... the website says it's $299.99 regularly; the $249 you remembered(?) must have been a sale. Liquidations always start at full regular price (or in this case, close to it?). Lame but normal. I was concerned if they were going up beyond even regular price.

Also, I finally re-ordered the SharkSaw this evening. Hopefully I will actually receive it this time, in a couple weeks.

Yep my gut was telling me to order a bunch of stuff the other night. I didn't. And now 90% of the items at every closing hometown I looked at earlier are not just the normal sale prices, they are full MSRP. Wish I had gone for the 40%, that is clearly max online for closing discount. Typical Sears, closer to the time a store closes and price increases to reset to list.

I'm wondering if that's just the website not the in store price?

I been hoping that they will have good deals as we get closer to Christmas, like a few weeks ago (I think around Thanksgiving), but so far except the few International tool boxes I have not seen anything with big discount. Maybe this weekend we may see some deals?

Can I stack coupons or deals like the $5.00 off $15.00 with the Spend $10.00 get $10.00 off from the text essentially making it totaling $15.00 off my purchase? Then 15% off that as well???

I've never seen any online closing pricing, although hometown is different and I missed the one closing in my area.

No, you can't do any of that. One coupon at a time.

And the 15% off usually won't work with these either, unless you get a really nice cashier willing to match the website price to give you the 15% off without entering it as a coupon code the way they're supposed to.

It depends on the specific coupons - some stack, some do not.

Ugh, bad news particularly for those without a local store, someone on SD spotted this in the Sears.com checkout process last night:

"Starting in February, points will no longer qualify toward free shipping or delivery minimums."

I don't think I've ever seen any Sears coupons actually "stack", which means applying to the same items. Back when they used to give out a lot of department-specific coupons/offers, you could buy two items in one transaction, where for example one item qualifies for a tools coupon and one item qualifies for a clothing coupon. But if you had two tools coupons, or one tools coupon and one storewide coupon, you'd have to do separate transactions.

Although good news in that they have plans for February and that points will still be around then.

Typically I stack a percentage off and a $ amount off coupon, the minimum spend has to be met by the remaining balance when either coupon is applied first.

I'm not sure what actual percent off coupons you've had, I'm only familiar with the F&F-style ones applied by cashiers, which definitely do not stack with dollar-off coupons in-store, as we've been discussing. Online, those F&F-style discounts are not treated as coupons, the displayed prices are just lowered to reflect it up-front.

It would be nice to be able to stack the 5 off 15 for the car accessory shop vac kit with the spend 10 get 10 off so total cost to me ended up being less than $6

Got my final order from Sears today, probably the last ever.

3 weeks for the Gearwrench 7 pc standard.
2 weeks for the Gearwrench 7 pc metric.

Did ok with points this year (mainly because of their screw ups) but nothing compared to last years FREECASH giveaways, and shipping this year was horrible.

Ahh, it's been $249 online for at least 2 weeks and I'm 99% sure it was in store as well. The guy told me it was $249, but rang it up at $18x and I had him check his math. Lady was super derogatory and wanted to argue so I just walked out. I had intended to stop today to see, and forgot. Maybe tomorrow.

Hmm, suddenly nothing is available to ship to store to the local K-Mart, and now it doesn't even show in the options or list of stores to check if an item is in stock. I guess that means its days are numbered.

I chatted with Sears CS, asking if they can give me an update for my 56in box which is scheduled to be here Jan 14. I wanted to make sure it won't show up sooner since we have some trips coming up. The CS did not know, but he said someone will follow-up. Yesterday I got an email saying that "As per our order details, your order will be delivered within 3-5 days."

Any thoughts how much I can trust this email? Is it possible it will be here two weeks ahead of scheduled delivery? Has anyone get their toolbox order delivered?

EDIT: Demar website is still showing "No Tracking Details Found". I may call them after Christmas.

...

The second $7 I was given did NOT work on my account Saturday morning. The register claimed "already redeemed" (same thing that the couple of people on SD experienced) even though I had been very careful to make sure it was not the one I used on Friday, and by waiting till Saturday for the second one I also eliminated the possibility of it allowing one per day.

So this means no more sharing of texting coupons that people who've lost their local stores can't use, unless the recipient was unable to get one of that coupon themselves.

Since I couldn't use the $7 and $10 on the two items I'd picked out, instead I just used the $5 off $15 I had received at the register on Friday. I had to pay $4-$5 OOP, when my points would have covered the rest with the $7+$10 combo if that had worked. Oh well.

When I made that purchase, the register spit out another $5 off $15, valid only 12/23 through 12/24. Same as when it spit out the first $5 off $15 for me on Friday, there are some people receiving better values.

I called Demar this am. They can not find my name, address in their system. I then chatted with Sears, now they said it will be shipped 01/02 - no wonder Demar can not find it in their system. Sears gave me a new tracking link that shows nothing for now but at least not a page with "No Tracking Details Found". It will be interesting to see if it will be updated.

I think I am still going to ask my neighbor to keep an eye while we are out. Kinda do not want to ask since it is a heavy box and this dude is probably weight less than the box.

Also interesting, when I called Demar. First thing they asked is "Is this about order from Sears". Sounds like a lot of people has been calling them about their Sears order, and probably for the same reason.

i bought that BF 2017 (thats what started me down the rabbit hole of sears deals) and it seems like a solid, decent item. i'll admit ive only used it no more than two dozen times, but its small enough i can wheel it in the house as im remodeling which is perfect, and the SCFM @ 40 was the highest i could find in that price range, which is what initially sold me on it.

Soo.....5 days after receiving a shipping notice on an orange 42" top I received a second shipping notice last night. Same order date, same "sales check number" as Sears calls it, different tracking number.
i just got a 2nd shipping confirmation email too. different tracking # as well, but this one actually tracks. id say they just sent a dummy # the first time to avoid the hassle of people complaining about it early. im only expecting to see one cabinet on mine
