Actually a different company and probably building, wipers are Sears Automotive, you probably ordered from Sears.com, a different company. The auto centers are concessions, so although you can order online at sears.com from sears auto and other third party vendors, they are not actually shc companies.

Sears Auto is a subsidiary of Sears Holdings, not a third-party vendor. https://searsholdings.com/brands/sears-auto-center
Their order processing is handled differently than the rest of Sears, though, and the Auto employees are reluctant to bother with anything that isn't getting them auto service commissions.

I had this issue ordering online for even a car battery, which is stored right next to their counter. One store cancelled the order. The other fulfilled it but gave me the upgraded gold version for free, even writing it up as such on the receipt. I don't really feel badly since I'm essentially buying a new battery without a warranty if it fails, so the price was right for what it was.

well i ordered about 130 wipers today lol
couldnt order more than 50 per item per transaction so had to split into 2 orders, one order has already shipped but i wouldnt be surprised to see a cancellation on the other because it had two 50qty items in it and it was ordered first. but im confident the amount of items was legit per their system since i started at 100 and went down until it no longer said the qty wasnt available. then i ordered an extra 20 after the first order and thats the one that shipped

even w tax and shipping it was under $250 so under $2/wiper avg
yes, it was for work

Eddie met the latest deadline this afternoon, increasing his bid and making the deposit the court decided yesterday to require. So now business-as-usual should continue through at least next Monday, 1/14.

I don't get it....what's he after? My local store was a ghost town, I mean no customers and no employees. I coulda easily walked into the tool dept, filled a huge duffel bag and just walked out. But inventory was clearly down, several bare walls. They're not even trying anymore.

And my store was (inexplicably) not on the last doomed-list

Kenmore? Diehard? Sears home repair? More real estate? Lot of valuable assets I believe still under the SHC umbrella. Also most of the money he is now using for this bid is not his.

There are a few, ok I know of one, that seems to have good foot traffic. There is usually always someone in line, and typically a 5+ minute wait in clothing area. They are always signing someone up for a credit card or even getting them into layaway (my jaw drops everytime I see it happen). While not stocked like it use to be, they have managed to keep it looking decent. They do have good warehouse people there & have always been helpful with pickups.

New promo on winter clothes, FWIW:

Took a quick look around tonight and it looks like some non winter stuff (like some Tshirts)is included.
Will look more in the morning.

Oh, I had just believed the text message from Sears announcing the deal earlier today as being for "winter" clothes. :lol_hitti

My closest Sears near Nashville is on the latest closing list. I stopped by to pick up a ship to store order that finally showed up. Employees in the pick up area said all employees were told they would be employed through the liquidation, ending around March 24.

They also said they’re still getting truckloads delivered from Sears warehouse(s) about the same as before the closing started; on irregular days that are often not when scheduled.

I walked through the tool department. Same as reported on other closing stores: 10% off and most prices jacked much higher than before the closing announcement, even the opened/damaged/orphaned stuff on their Clearance rack now full price. More employees than customers.

Unlike what I’ve read on GJ about other Sears closings, they did not stop online ship to store orders for pickup here immediately upon announcing the closing of this store. But it finally did get taken off the list the beginning of this week.

Anything really worthwhile about thee 5% off flash sales?

Things that only ever go on sale for storewide sales are discounted when they wouldn't otherwise be. If a 10% day hits in the next 30 days, you can get the additional 5% savings back via chat. And anything you bought online at full price in the past 30 days, to use up points or because you had an urgent need for it or whatever, you can chat and get the 5% back now.

If Eddie's "going concern" bid wins next week's auction (Monday but we might not know the results till Wednesday), it includes plans to at least keep the value of SYW points already accrued. But if the liquidators win instead, we don't know how long we'll have to use up points before the whole thing shuts down. So this is also an opportunity to use up points at a bit better value if you wanted to CYA before next week anyway.

Update: Looks like they're still pulling the 'shut down an hour early because we don't understand Daylight Savings Time changes' thing, so chat is unavailable till early in the morning (6am CT supposedly, but probably 5am CT in reality, just like the ending time running an hour early). I took a couple minutes too long getting my order details ready, so now I have to set an alarm. :p

Nothing worthwhile so far...

I am just chatting now to get some price match. Should get $3 back.

I don't know why some people manage to get into chat outside of the times it shuts down for everyone else... I've tried different web browsers, different pages to get to it from, etc, sigh. :dunno: Gotta wait till 5-6am for my ~$2.

Hexen, I just saw your previous post. I just changed the time zone on my MacBook, refreshed the page, went to my cart and back to shopping, because that's when it seems to pop up, and BAM, chat...

Hmm, that must be it, but it still won't let me in even after taking a 'Hawaiian vacation', reloading, and even going to an Incognito window to start with fresh cookies. Kwality Sears programming strikes again. ;)

I think this is an awesome deal... I bought this 2-3 months ago iirc $15.

Craftsman Magnetic Tool Organization Panel. On clearance $6.97.

https://www.sears.com/craftsman-mag...SellerId=Sears&prdNo=4&blockNo=4&blockType=G4

Nice find. Doesn't show up at all browsing the site.

Just a reminder that "clearance" at Sears doesn't always mean what it means at other stores... sometimes they put something on "clearance" for a few weeks, then without having run out of the item, suddenly decide to take it off of "clearance" status and go back up to full price.

PS: Was finally able to get into chat and got my $2 points back.

I grabbed one with a recent in-store $10 coupon & matching to the website of $17, this is much easier. I loved how well packaged it comes. Ordered 3 more. Thanks!

Happy to help

I ordered one on Jan 8. Price match it yesterday from $20 to $18. Then later last night I notice the price goes down to $6.97 :bounce:, so I price match again this am and ordered one more. It is insane the price went down twice like in two hours!

If they would have given me my $10 points from price match today instead of next week when I pick up the order, I would have bought another one, but at the end I think total of three of these is enough.

This is on clearance, so I have a feeling once it is gone, that is it. I would recommend to buy now if you want one. Of course Sears maybe gone forever soon.... so buy anything that you want now lol

If you have a Kmart nearby text SMARTSENSE to 56278 and get 50% off coupon for Smartsense items today only.

I don't know if the coupon is only good today or what.

They are a very good store brand.

And if anyone here does still have a nearby Kmart, apparently they've been quite generous with $x off $x (e.g. $7 off $7) coupons when you buy something in-store lately.

I'm using mine to make my own mechanics time savers socket holders by using 1/2" thick LDPE riveted to the front, with appropriate size holes drilled in the plastic. Great way to have holders for my extended socket sets that you can't buy holders for.

Mind posting up a pic?

They have no magnetism on the back, so won't work over the drawer liners.

How can that be? In that video, it shows them being put on the side of a tool chest. I only slid mine partially out of the box, as I haven't been to the property it will be residing at, so haven't actually used mine yet.

Man... I feel that everyone who posted deals here should get paid as Personal Shopper. I know we posted deals to share and help other member, but Sears has been getting some serious promotion here for free. Like this Craftsman Magnetic Tool Organization Panel, how many has they sell since the deal was posted here last night, and I can point to other items too where we all jump on it.

+1, @ssdave, would you mind posting a picture. It sounds great, and I can use some help organizing my tool box, but I am having a hard time understanding what you did.

Pretty sure Sears is losing money from the posted deals here. I think most members here are using SYW points, combined with coupon codes and sales to get items for less than what Sears is paying. I cannot tell you how many orders I have placed for $0 OOP, and received multiple separate shipments. The shipping costs alone has to be putting Sears in the red on many purchases.

I was able to barely get a 1/16" hex key to stick to the red tray side. Don't know if there's been a design change since I bought mine.

Heh, watching the guy in the video place a panel on the outside of a tool cabinet, I see the red tray is missing. (start at 0:27 in video)
