I've avoided getting into cordless power tools yet; whenever I do, I've had Milwaukee at the top of my list for a while now. Dewalt is fine too. I definitely wouldn't advise getting into the disjointed remains of Craftsman cordless power tools through Sears at this point for anyone not already 'committed' to one of the Sears Craftsman systems.

Same here. I am pretty much Craftsman all the way for a couple of reasons except for cordless power tools. I am not buying into those. I bought a lot of Ryobi, but have switched over to Milwaukee. I really like the M12 stuff.

Is anyone having problem ordering? I go all the way back to the last page, and the page just kick me back to my cart. I tried both Chrome and Firefox.

Sometimes you can complete an order through Shop You Way when Sears has its typical site issues. Or Chat can place your order.

Looks like Sears has a nice April Fools Day sale online only. Check it out.

Craftsman 320 pc. Mechanic's Tool Set is $110.49 and their should be a coupon out there to get it lower.

https://www.sears.com/kd-tools-tele...dNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1&adcell=hp_AT_320

Looks like Sears changed their order page also.

I put 7 items in my cart this morning. I actually found some things I didn't have and it was all in stock and able to ship. I am supposed to get it by Saturday.

I was hoping the Craftsman scroll saw would go lower, but it didn't. It's been at $139 for awhile.

Anyone else find how they arranged the picture of the sockets interesting? 6 point and 12 point sockets are randomly mixed throughout. For some reason one wrench is laid upside down too compared to the rest of them.

The photos for recent items look like they were taken by an amateur.

I think the reason why my local store has so many used ones available is because of damage to the case. The discounted prices for those were higher than the online price for a new one. :headshake

8 roll down to $3.99
12 roll down to $4.79 -- i think im going to get another one of these with the points i just got back for price protections
I was thinking of getting those, but then read the reviews. Perhaps the rolls are designed for flat, zero-angle wrenches?

You used Kmart.com links, but here are Sears.com links:

If you aren't already in on the $60 back on $60 deal, grab the 320pc set and go for it.

Around here anyway, the OfferUp price for that set is at $100-$120+. Throw in a $10 coupon and the $60 in points are free if you cover the tax...

whoops! thanks for the save

i think the 12 pocket is well made, but its a little tight. not sure angled wrenches would fit if theyve got much of a lift, however i was able to stuff pliers/vise grip handles in mine as well as double up the wrenches. not pictured are two screwdrivers that can fit in there as well.

canvas. feels well made enough that i don't think i'll ever have an issue with its build quality--especially since its in my go box in the trunk and won't see that much use. its perfect at this price point

I decided to pick up the double-drive extendable ratchet for $15.99 minus $5 off $15 app freecash (it was briefly $14.39 a few weeks ago, but I didn't buy it then and it seems to be $19.99 or more usually [edit: went to $17.99 when the 4/1 sale ended]):

https://www.sears.com/craftsman-1-4inch-x-3-8inch-drive-wobble-ratchet/p-00939234000P
$15.99 sale, $39.99 regularly

Nice "April Tools Day" sale name, I don't recall Sears doing that in previous years. Sale ends at midnight CT tonight, BTW (2 hours left).

Thanks. I ordered one yesterday to try storing a set of punches.

Hmm, there's an idea! Take a photo when you get your punches in it, please; if they're the Craftsman punches or similar size, I'm curious if they'll stick out of the pockets enough.

Update: I went ahead and ordered the 8-pocket and the 12-pocket in a last-minute order tonight. Will figure out later what to put in them. :p

If there was any doubt Walmart Hyper Tough and Craftsman strike cap pry bars are the same, the Walmart version started showing up at Sears. Go to scan it, of course "no price found" if any other Sears I'd play hard ball and negotiate a discount from the Walmart price but Chula Vista would demand full Craftsman retail so I passed. Hopefully they get the little 8" one in I've had my eye on. IMG_20190401_172236986.jpeg879911[/ATTACH]

Anybody else have issues placing orders the last couple of days? I've tried to place orders during the last day of the "April Tools" sale, and yesterday using $10 off $20 and $10 off $25 coupons that expired at midnight. I tried using multiple browsers on my PC, multiple browsers on my phone, the Sears app on my phone, and using multiple payment methods. Nothing worked. And magically their support team tells me the issue has not been fixed and I can place my orders now (for full price). Not trying to turn this into a complaint thread, as this is the first issue of this kind I've had...just curious about how widespread this was.

Yeah I was having problem ordering on 3/30. It failed using different browsers. I was going to ask chat, but I tried ordering something else and it goes thru. I thought that the reason was maybe the item I wanted was not available for local pick-up (I am guessing here).

:lol_hitti That is hilarious!

Yeah, if you can order some items but not others, that probably is not a malfunction with the ordering system, but rather an error in the inventory system - that product that couldn't be ordered is actually not available, despite the website claiming it is.

I had a longtime-unavailable product I wanted appear to come back into availability for ship-to-store last week for a short time, but it was unorderable, and reverted to unavailable soon thereafter. And last December, I tried to order something else that claimed to be available for ship-to-store to arrive in a week or two, but couldn't complete the order, so I asked chat to help; they couldn't place an order for that item either, and said the real inventory status was that it wouldn't arrive for a month or so and due to that system being out of sync with the website's system on that item, it was impossible to order.

lol, Sears Outlet has a new-ish slogan I don't recall seeing before (looks like it's been around since ~6mo ago):

maxresdefault.jpg

"Slightly imperfect. Perfect prices."

(referring to their scratch-and-dent appliances)

Sears Announces Grand Openings Of Three New "Home & Life" Stores Scheduled For Memorial Day Weekend

" April 4, 2019 - ... Today, as part of a new era, Sears announced plans to open three new Home & Life stores in May.

Located in Anchorage, Alaska; Lafayette, Louisiana and Overland Park, Kansas, the new Home & Life stores will offer appliances, mattresses, home services and connected home products. The stores were developed based on insights from Sears Appliances & Mattresses stores that opened in 2017 in Ft. Collins, Colorado; Pharr, Texas; Honolulu, Hawaii and Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. The store sizes will range in size from 10,000 sq. ft. – 15,000 sq. ft., primarily driven by availability of stores and the needs of the local community.
...
The Sears Home & Life stores will be dedicated to the following categories:

- Major appliances, including Kenmore® and other leading appliance brands, displayed in kitchen and laundry vignettes.
- Mattresses that members can try out from top brands, including: Tempur-Pedic®, Beautyrest, Sealy, Serta, Simmons and Stearns & Foster.
- Small kitchen appliances and an assortment of vacuums, floor care and home environment products.
- Connected Home Products– a curated assortment of smart products that are relevant to members, who also will be able to learn how to set up a smart home with reliable appliances that are compatible with Alexa and Google+.

Sears Home & Life stores will offer the power and capability of leading integrated retail services for which Sears is known, including:

- A "Welcome" Service Desk: Members can meet with Home & Life experts to explore how new appliances would look in a full-scale kitchen. Artwork and photos in the stores will include images of the local community.
- Sears Buy Online "Search Bar" Kiosk: Members will have access to the entire Sears ecosystem of products and services offered through the in-store "Search Bar" kiosk, where they will be assisted by a Home & Life expert. Their purchases can be picked up in store or delivered to their home.
- Free Store Pickup on any item purchased on sears.com: Merchandise can also be returned to these stores if purchased on sears.com.
- In-Vehicle Pickup: Become a Shop Your Way member, shop online or in the Sears app and select in-vehicle pickup. We'll send you an email when your item is ready. Park in a reserved spot at the store and an associate will be out with your order in five minutes or less – guaranteed.
- Sears Home Services: This area will offer appliance repair, parts and accessories, as well as convenient solutions for members to shop replacement parts for any appliance. Members can also consult with experts about their Home Improvement needs and purchase products like windows, roofing, kitchen cabinets, countertops, flooring and more.
... "

At least they'll give people more store pickup locations, but NO TOOLS will be stocked there. Surely those sell better and are a bigger part of Sears' remaining appeal, than blenders and vacuums.

I've been to the Sears appliance in ft Collins a couple times. I don't remember seeing any mattresses though... They do have a very small tool section. I like the hometown setup better if they want to go small.

midnight madness tonight, 10 est

Started an hour early, prices already in effect. I see a number of things higher now than they were earlier today (and the last several days), though. :( All 8 things I've bought in the last few weeks are higher now, no price-adjustment opportunities for me.

Yep I am seeing the same thing. I only have bought a few things and thought that was funny how the price had gone up during the big sale.

I finally decided to grab the c3 3/8 impact before they are gone again.
Extra $5 off tonight plus they gave me $10 FREECASH, and I got the $60 back in installments. Oh and free shipping saved me a trip and $5 in tax.

Not bad considering I was willing to pay over $100 back when they were unavailable.

Yeah, if you're already into C3 tools, get more while you still can. People on SD mentioned recently that in addition to regular Sears, Sears Hardware and Ace Hardware have stopped restocking C3 stuff and their selection has been naturally dwindling down for a while now. Ace employees told one of them, "they're done with c3, and if they get new Craftsman power tools it will be the new v20 stuff (Stanley)".
