Last chance to grab a Craftsman 90T ratchet? Sears has 70% off the tool sets.

Been waiting for them to show up as open stock, but the Ultimate Collection seems dead in the water after the lawsuit from SBD.

Caution: Some sets have 12-point and/or universal sockets.

1/2" drive:
Craftsman 23 pc. Metric Socket Wrench Set $49.99
Craftsman 23 pc. Inch Socket Wrench Set $49.99

3/8" drive:
Craftsman 36 pc. Metric Mechanic's Starter Set $49.99
Craftsman 34 pc. Inch Mechanic's Starter Set $49.99

Craftsman 74 pc. Metric Mechanic's Service Set $69.99
Craftsman 82 pc. Inch Mechanic's Service Set 79.99

1/4" and 3/8" drive:
Craftsman 104 pc. Mechanic's Service Set $99.99

My local Sears is in liquidation right now. They were flooded with Ultimate Collection stuff right as the liquidation began. I think that the ratcheting wrenches are on Sears.com, but they have removed all mention of the "ultimate" branding.

I think these are the Ultimate Wrenches. $29 is the lowest that I've seen them.

I don't know why that bottom link says "hole saw" in it, but it takes me to the metric set.

If it says Sears Auto on the website, then I head to the auto center to pick up the order. Not merchandise pickup.

Over the years, Sears Auto deals gained a bad reputation over on Slickdeals. Many horror stories about having to deal with incompetent auto guys when trying to pick up an online order. Good luck. :D

I was able to pick up my oil filter pliers at the auto center desk this morning. It is the US version, and they only have one more in stock. I assume when that's gone, it either won't be replenishable or will be replenished with the Taiwan version.

Auto guy kept me waiting a few minutes while he worked on some vehicle paperwork, but it wasn't bad.

I did notice that they have a few Michelin tires on display now, the rest are mostly still Laufenn, might have been one Kumho.

The Auto Center here in Portage, MI, has increased their tire selection lately; Cooper, Michelin, and Laufenn were the most noticeable. I have dealt with them 3-4 times in the last year and they have been good to deal with with a couple $19 synthetic oil changes, two tire orders, and a tire installation.

I find it a bit ridiculous that if we order something in stock from the auto center that it has to be picked up there; sometimes there isn't any indication that the item if stocked there. I couldn't tell you how frustrated I was when I ordered a battery charger a couple years ago and went to the normal pick-up center and everyone there didn't know what happened to my order only to find out that the auto center is a totally separate entity and items ordered there are to be picked up there. I shouldn't complain since I bought a $99 battery charger for twenty-ish dollars.

not much time left on the "MADNESS" sale guys :) lol whatever that means. anyways here's my haul. been in the market for a new tool chest and wanted a top and bottom, special Craftsman line Edge series in Midnight Blue b/c I'm a cowboys fan. ended up getting a pretty good deal. tried doing the layaway option as i had cash and wanted to pay it off without the wifey knowing, but no dice b/c to do so the store has to have the item IN stock. I kept getting an error on their website and it was killing me. Here she is

Just a reminder, if this is anything like the past Sears sales, the actual deals within the sale will end on the 14th at 10PM Pacific. So get your stuff ordered the very first day.

These filter pliers aren't a huge discount but they are rarely if ever on sale, and are being discontinued in favor of offshore units (they are actually assembled in USA), grab them if you can. I've had my pair for awhile but they are AWESOME for removing stuck can lids in the kitchen, so I wanted another pair for the house in addition to the garage.

https://www.sears.com/craftsman-adjustable-oil-filter-pliers/p-02820520000P

Get your price protection. The pliers are now $14.39

How much was it?

I see $286.19 for the top, and $379.79 for the bottom. No 'Hot Buy' tags, so SEARS35OFF300 applies.

Minor note for anyone else doing price protection on the oil filter pliers - if you initiate the chat from that product page (you can start from any other page on the Sears website, but I tend to do it that way), you will be connected to an Auto Services chat rep who can't do price adjustments, but they can transfer you to one of the normal chat reps who does the adjustment with no problems. Odd side effect of this tool being classified as an 'automotive oil filter' rather than a tool to use on oil filters, I guess. :p

I get a similar reaction from regular chat whenever I ask for info on an item that shows pickup from Sears Auto. They transfer me to a Sears Auto chat rep.

I would not be surprised to find out they are sitting a couple cubicles away from each other.

I wanted the wire rope cutter, or at least I had a project to use them for, and a few others if the price was right, that all appear to be back. That was the week they all disappeared off the site. Still have my $100+ since then waiting for the right item(s), which would have been cleaned out if I could have used it at the Hometown store when it was closing.

Used up my $5 freecash for $20 purchase on it.

If you like your Shark saws, then here's a rebadged Shark folding saw (maybe the Shark 10-2337):

Craftsman 7-1/2 in. Utility Saw, 12 TPI

Cool, I have something similar with a red handle that I got on clearance at Sears several years ago.

And very nice to see Knipex returning! 71 items sold by Sears, seems like about what we had before. (Edit: Nope, not quite... several of the most popular Pliers Wrench varieties seem to still be missing, though others are back.) I probably won't be affording any more of their stuff any time soon, but some of you with recurring points-back coming in from large purchases may be in luck.

I just used my Knipex end nippers a couple weeks ago to pull some picture-hanging nails out of a wall without bending them, to reuse in a different location.

Some oddball items like the glass nibblers and electricians needle nose didn't make the return.

I don't see the cable shears, either.

Also doesn't appear that Knipex wants to supply new Craftsman Cobras.

Oh, I was busy yesterday, but figured that someone else would mention the in-store F&F sale was on Saturday this time around.

I don't really understand the advantage in waiting for the day of a sale to email your customers about a 1-day in-store event.

Less-dumb than the register-printed coupons that have to be used the same day, I guess. Even if they weren't for a too-high-for-me purchase amount and something I don't need, I usually stop at Sears on my way to somewhere else and don't have time to start a whole new round of shopping on the spur of the moment.

See now with the same day print outs, I thought that was a good tool to encourage impulse buying. I think most of us are just educated consumers (cheap bastards) that don't fool for it.

Not that Sears gives a darn what any of us think, but I think they'd get a lot more people to use them if the coupons were all at least good till the next day. Oh well. :)

One could always go in and play their game with the coupons good for one day only and buy something small first, and then use the coupon printed off for the pricier item right after. I have been guilty of doing just that a couple times....

Oh yeah, I'm thrilled with this Knipex development. We have $15 flowing into a couple accounts weekly. Finally have something good to spend it on. Sears is probably going to be getting some actual money from me now, since most stuff I want is in the $20-28 range. That said every time they cancel one of my orders, I get the points back a couple weeks later and can lump them in with the other weekly points to buy a more expensive item.

That said act fast if you see something you want. The shears I ordered have already stopped being sold by Sears. I hope they actually fulfill the order:

https://www.sears.com/knipex-combination-shears/p-00932338000P

Now they only sell these non-offset ones:

https://www.sears.com/knipex-combination-shears/p-00932334000P?sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=17&blockNo=17&blockType=G17

If anyone has issues receiving their Knipex, definitely post. Seeing such a recently added item already disappear is not confidence inspiring.

Great news about Knipex being back. Looks like I can start buying tools again.

They also have the best prices I've seen on Grip-on pliers.

5 inch for $18.99
https://www.sears.com/grip-on-5-inc...sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=6&blockNo=6&blockType=G6

7 inch for $22.99
https://www.sears.com/grip-on-7-inc...sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=5&blockNo=5&blockType=G5

10 inch for $25.99
https://www.sears.com/grip-on-10-in...sellerId=SEARS&prdNo=9&blockNo=9&blockType=G9

If you are interested in these you may want to google the model numbers. In my experience, some of these are the enamel-coated ones and that the pictures are wrong on Sears.com.

Also, a reminder for items like that which aren't eligible for store pickup, you can get free shipping by going through SYW's free Personal Shopper app.

Score! I had an unexpected windfall in the games this evening and was able to order some Knipex after all. :D I ended up getting the angled mini bolt cutters, price-matched to Home Depot's $49 price via chat, for about $6 OOP.

I was torn between that and the 7" comfort grip pliers wrench, which is currently about the same price as the mini bolt cutter on HD. The Amazon price history (which is usually very similar to HD's prices for these) via camelcamelcamel showed that the mini bolt cutter is at a seldom-seen all-time low, while the pliers wrench drops lower fairly often; and I do already have the 6" (and 5") pliers wrench but only a full-size (folding) bolt cutter, so I decided the mini bolt cutters would provide more varied use cases, especially with the angled head. The 10" pliers wrench might have been more tempting, being a bigger size difference from what I already have, but that's one that Sears doesn't carry currently.

PS: Same as someone else experienced on a different Knipex item earlier this week, right after I ordered it, it became unavailable for further orders. It seems like they are only willing to sell one of each at a time, we'll have to see how long it takes for availability to reset; I'm guessing however long it takes for Sears to pay Knipex (keeping Sears on a very short leash).
